  • Well done! You sing it more like a lyric nocturne instead of the usual heroic fashion. Some say that's what Puccini's original intent for the aria was. Your version is very similar to Schmidt's and to Bjorling's wartime recording. They sing it in a more silvery and vulnerable style than others. And like them, you have a lyric voice. Your top is very focused with great squillo. I'd love to hear you do lyric role arias!

  • It's ok..are you a singer of German opera or a German opera singer?

  • awesome!

  • Bravo!

  • try the una furtiva lagrima for example...your voice is very lyric tenor..roles that maybe are good for that type of voice are light roles like Elvino in La Sonnambula-Nemorino in L'elisir D'amore-Almaviva in Barbiere .....but i like your voice!!!And also the diction reminds me english language not the Italian...Thanks!!

  • I am commenting on your youtube video because I know lots and lots and lots about opera. I am a real true opera expert so you should take my advice seriously and work hard to improve based on what I say. First, you should listen to Pavaroti and Paul Potts' renditions to learn how this song should be truly sung. Second you should develop a more dramatic voice. Your voice sounds a little expressionless and silly. Develop a more pronounced vibrato. You are singing this song too slowly.

  • @VincentAlessendri Thanks for the laugh!

  • @GermanOperaSinger No I am being serious. You really should develop a more dramatic voice to sing this - song -

  • @VincentAlessendri No, you're completely wrong. I want to have a long drawn-out discussion with you about this. He should listen to Bocelli instead of Potts. I'm even more of an opera expert than you as I have in fact sung the lead roles in several operas myself. Just take my word for it. My incredibly un-arguable opinions should be proof enough of this.

  • @VincentAlessendri Pavarotti and Potts???

  • Well, that was quite nice. You do have a lovely voice.

  • Che bravo!!! beautiful tone and lovely vibrato! BRAVO!!!

  • Nice! Don't forget to pronouce both D's on" fred-da." Italians will register that in a heartbeat:-)

  • Thank so much

  • You're really excellent. I wish you a nice professional career. Where did you get the chorus?

  • @Herur22 Thank you for your kind words. The background audio was from a CD of several tracks of Italian opera arias I had with me. I didn't plan to sing 'nessun dorma' but did at the end since people requested it and it was on the CD.

  • @GermanOperaSinger ..oooh!! i thought you have a very good lyric tenor voice...very nice i will listen to your other one's too..keep up the great work ..it is appreciated..thanks

  • Without a question better than Pol Pot. Thanks.

  • Now I can hear it and really you should go on a TV show like some of the talent shows for fun because so many inferior went on it and had so little, who knows it's pretty good besides for someone just trying it out.

  • Nessun Dorma? But.... you're a lyric tenor. SELLOUT.

Kidding of course. Definitely better than Paul Potts, very well done all things considered. I would have gladly joined in the applause. =)
