I've only just learned of Lady T's sad & sudden death. I'm so shocked. I'm in the U.K. so have only managed to see her in concert once (Wonderful), but have been a true fan since day one. I've read a few remarks where people have compared her to Tina Turner (?), my mind is boggled. I thank Teena for years her music has served me and this is as fresh today as it was 30 years ago. she still sounded awesome & powerful after so many years .....she obviously took good care of her voice.....but such a sound could only come from a person with a tremendous heart inside......full of love.
I can hear The Love every time she sings. Thank you Teena for loving us. We love you right back. .....and we WILL miss you.

As is shown clearly in this video, Lady Teena Marie is a beautiful spirit. All her songs are imbued with soulful spirituality. The outpouring of feeling since her passing is a testament to her ability to touch the human heart. I love Lady T!

NOTICE, Teena was right with GOD here. Notice BEFORE she started this concert, she mentioned, "i send a wave of peace and blessings to all in the audience....because GOD is good. On a Buffalo TV station interview 3 months before he died, Rick James said, "God tapped me on the shoulders and said "Let's have a little talk". When Rick died, it hit me like a rock that God knew that he was going to die and wanted him to get things right before he left this world. Many times God warns us.Beware.

Every time I hear this song I get a full case of déjà vu. I remember this album cover with the water color scene. However, the 12” behind the grove did. I remember saying to the store clerk ‘Wow, that white girl can sing. She must have had a lot of joy and pain in her life to balance it out like that.” Today, when ever I hear the Lady T. I smile. I know she’s singing with the Angels because she’s hold a spot for me. R.I.P.

R.I.P Lady T. I am deeply saddened to learn the news of her sudden passing. Such an incredible talent with an amazing, angelic voice. I was so very fortunate to have seen her in concert many times, most recently last summer in Baltimore. I am saddened too I also heard she suffered a seizure last month in November ...so I think she probably had been having health problems (maybe)..........I truly liked Teena Marie her music moved me got into my heart and soul.........her lyrics are so on point with things that were or are happening in my life R.I.P.
