The N model has a Ralink chipset and the G model is Realtek RTL8187L

so this is just an antenna or dongle with antenna all built into one?

@VENTRUE05 it is an outdoor Wi-Fi receiver in weatherproof casing that has an external antenna connector. You can hook it up to a wide array of marine or other outdoor antennas. It has an N-male antenna connector.
