thom hartmann is a smart cookie, i think if he were able to be truly intellectually honest he would admit that obama is concerned only with corporate profits and protecting the status quo, he is there as THEIR representative. Things will change when the PEOPLE enact a form of direct democracy to put a check on our representative democracy. If the people had the ability to remove the president from office by popular vote at any time (not just on election day), have the same power with their congressmen, have the power to veto laws passed by Congress, and the ability to pass their own laws by popular vote, then that will be real change.
