  • this guy sounds like Bohannan from Hell on Wheels

  • Like the video. Looks like a g26 holster will work for an Sr9c

  • @ridenhour1 Thanks, and it might. The SR9C is a little bit bigger so there could be retention problems. I have briefly used holsters not made for the gun I had in them but in a lot of cases that may not be a good idea. However, if you have trouble finding a holster for a gun it isn't a bad idea to at least try it out with another holster. Just be sure to test it with a little "rough and tumble" before trusting it. Thanks again and take care.

  • Thanks for the reply. I've shot both. I own a G26, (I've had it out only once). And I've shot my buddies SR9C. I have not done a side by side comparison though. I just wanted to get another opinion.

  • Which one has the better trigger?

  • @everready19373 That's a tough call and a question I can't really answer. I've always liked Glock triggers and the Ruger felt similar, but I shot the Ruger better than I can shoot Glocks. I'm better with a Glock than most other pistols so it seems that for me the Ruger was better all around for accurate shooting. But I think it will come down to personal preference for everyone.

  • In your description above you are saying G19. Do you mean G26?

  • @Castleknight Good catch. The SR9C is kind of between the G26 and G19 as far as length goes. Somewhere in there I got confused. Thank you.

  • @deep13deep13deep13

If you like the striker fired guns then you'll really dig the sr9c. It's a sweet shooter

  • That gun rocks. I might get one.

  • OMG the ending bit made me laugh so hard! GJ man

  • Great video... That is up until the slow-mo barrel stroking to the bad 70's porn music... I gotta get me another sr9c. I've owned both full size sr9 and the c. Now I carry an EMP 9 and I find myself wanting to go back to my very first firearm, the SR9. Again, good comparo to the g19, and happy shootin'.

  • @ZZRgirl11 Yeah, I almost took that out. I try to run a clean ship here but I wound up leaving that part in just to give my buddy a little flak.

I haven't shot that gun again since then but I really want to. It felt great and was very accurate for me. I was completely surprised.

  • The number one reason i don't own a Glock is because the grip is so fat, it makes it uncomfortable to shoot. That and it is about $200 more than my SR9C.

  • ive been wanting to get a thin single stack 9 for concealed carry but i might have to go with the sr9c cause of the trigger and the price. wish ruger could have put that trigger on the lc9 as well. seems like they wanted to cause they put that thumb safety on it. i dont see any reason to put a double action trigger on a modern auto

  • @IzInAZ They pretty much copied the Kel Tec PF9 for the LC9 but took off the accessory rail and put the safety on it. Compact size makes it tough to make such a smooth trigger. If Glock would only make a single stacked 9mm all our problems would be solved!

  • @ghillisniper300 If you're looking for a single stack 9 mm that is very "Glock-ish" I'd suggest something in the the Kahr Arms line. I really like the inexpensive CW9.

  • @sharkinfested They really aren't that "Glock-ish" though. They are small and compact but they still have a substantially different trigger than a Glock. The only single stacked 9mm that I've ever shot that FELT like a Glock trigger and recoil was the Walther PPS and it's too tall for me. We're trying to drum up support to put pressure on Glock to make a single stacked version of their G26 at least!

  • @IzInAZ walther ppk

  • @h8rzhate If I'm not mistaken the PPK was never made in 9 X 19. IzInAZ could get it in 9 X 17 but I don't think our standard 9mm. Unless perhaps you meant Walther PPS and then I'd whole heartedly agree with you.

  • I have a full sized SR9 and the SR9c Both are fantastic and VERY dependable guns

  • whatta GREAT VIDEO!! to the guy who compared both trigger pulls....PROPS!!! i watched it very closely when i saw that you were gonna do a proper comparo with a slow test pull...and to the camera guy for some fine camera work!!

  • @paikmendez Thanks! We try to really get into it and do a real world comparison. One thing I've noticed is that MFG websites tell us the trigger pull weight but sometimes a trigger will have a longer take up or not break as crisply in the real world. My Kel Tec PF9 is supposed to have a 5 lb trigger. It might, but it's the toughest 5 lb trigger I've ever used.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Take care and happy shooting.

  • bow chicka wow wow

  • I have a question for you. I recently got an SR9c--like the way it shoots very much--great carry weapon. BUT I note the slide spring is monster strong--much stronger than the SR9 I tested--and much stronger than the Sig elite stainless p226 I have. Is the spring supposed to be so tough? I know the spring design is very different from the SR9--but why is it so strong--or is the one I have an exception?

  • @billyboy647 I would guess that the SR9C's recoil spring is stiffer becuase it is double captive compared to the single spring of the SR9. I think they made that change due to the shorter slide, to ensure proper function. It is similar to the change between the Gen 3 Glock 19 and Gen 4 Glock 19. Some say it makes them not cycle light loads well, but we've not seen any problems yet with either gun. I say, shoot it a bunch and it will lighten up! :) Have fun and thanks for watching!

  • @billyboy647 My is very stiff as well, I think it has to do with recoil.

  • @billyboy647

I agree with you, I have one myself and the recoil spring is really stiff . But i noticed that after running some 300 rounds and regular practising dry fire and racking the slide every now and then, i feel that mine is beginning to soften up and gradually becoming easier to rack. Just a matter of breaking in the gun. I never experienced any problems firing this gun. Very good firearm and i enjoy shooting it everytime. I hope you enjoy yours as well.

  • What a great gun out of the box, great to shoot, everyone who has shot mine fall in love with it and two people have gone on to purchace one. Great price. I have noted that 2 females who have purchases this gun did so because of the safety, so I guess it has it's place.

    Thanks for your time

    Roger

  • @RNURSEWOODS I agree. I have heard of some of these that aren't so great, but without seeing them shoot I don't know if it is a gun problem, or ammo, or the shooter. So yes, in my experience it is an amazing firearm.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Professional Engineers are all the same....

  • @armyoklahomanbc I probably should have edited all of that out.....try to keep it clean and all. I just couldn't resist.
