I'm reading his war journal and out of all the Iraq books I've read it is one of the most informative and interesting books. Iraq really took a toll on him but his work was what important to him. His book goes through basically the whole entire war and rebuilding and government making in Iraq and gives you the definitive story. Not only was the book informative but also showed the psyche of someone who has lived in a warzone and seen the bloodshed and how he deals with it.
Richard Engel's "A Fist in the Hornet's Nest" has great insight into the days leading up to the invasion of Iraq and American troops entering Baghdad. He is a great reporter, I'm glad he was able to speak with the World Affairs Council
