  • wow it look so pretty i wish i knew how to do a blow out like that cause it would be a perfect way i can clip my ends cause my hair is natural...

  • this salon did a really good job on her hair. i really like it!

  • i love my dominican people, it is sad if a hair video can bring up racism. Oh well... some people's minds are built within this wall, i think it's called... ignorance. LOL.

Everyone on earth bleeds red and has a language of their own! That's the beautiful thing about being a human, even though we're different we're alike.

  • beautifully done

  • amazing!!!

  • GREAT Job!! Fantastic!!!!!

  • @latoriababyphat Why is is that after her hair has been straightened it is "pretty"? I don't understand why black hair the way it grows from our heads can't be referred to as "beautiful" or "pretty" until after it has been straightened?

  • Im live in colorado and there are no Dominican Salon here. So everytime Im in NYC the first thing I do is hit Harlem to get my blow. I pretty much have the technique down to do at home now but i am really in need of the HIGH HEAT BLOW DRYER! What is the best Brand to use to get the best results???? THANKS!!!!

  • When My hair grows in I want this. What type of dryer is that?

  • what did the stylist put in her hair before she detangled it and wrapped it on the roller? I've been hearing a lot lately about how dominican salons will mix relaxer in their conditioner to make their clients' hair easier to manage. I know her hair texture looks similar to mine and my hair NEVER lays down as easily as it did in the video.

  • Amazing Indeed.

  • don't know if you have already answered this... but where is this salon? My hair is a Mess!! Lol

  • AWESOME!!!

  • wow!

  • wow thats not fair when i went they told me my hair was to curly to roller set. they had to blow mine out ....ur hair is way straighter than mine ..but i paid 30 dollars for a blow out but it came out HOT.. and so they know what they r doing 4 real

  • wow very pretty. if i did not have locks, i would definitely go to a dominican hair salon.

  • Amazing! How long to dominican blowout's last on hair? a month?

  • Amazing!

  • really like what was the roller set for?

  • @industrynewz911 it stretches out the hair from the root to make the blow drying process easier. it would be pretty difficult to blow dry her hair from its natural state

  • Shes got 4c hair type, right?

  • where did u go?.... your hair turn out great

  • What blow-dryer is that?

  • OOOhhh! They sho did work wonders for that girl! Did she NOT have a perm or what?lmao

  • Those Dominicans can do some hair! I can't wait until I get mine done in one!

  • how do dominicans know how to do our hair better than we do ourselves? i just wonder

  • I think it is B/c we have always been condition since youth to put a perm in our hair so we always thought that was the solution...Im natural and I love being natural.

But you have to learn your own hair & what it likes. And that do take time & some pp dont like to take the time. They want a Quick fix which is: A perm.

  • @starangel031785 haha truly wish i could do my hair. im studying

  • @starangel031785 most dominicans are black too. the majority of the people there are of latin or african descent, so they know how to do those kinds of hair :)

  • @starangel031785 lol i know right , Dominicanz know bout some hair!

  • @starangel031785 OUR HAIR IS VERY MUCH LIKE THE BLACK HAIR..ONLY SOMETIMES DO YOU SEE DOMINICANS WITH VERY STRAIGHT HAIR. THIS IS SOMETHING OIR PARENTS DO JUST AS YOU HAVE USED PRESSING COMBS. HOPE THAT HELPS.

  • @starangel031785 some of them have hair like us.

  • @starangel031785 BC Dominicans come from Africa! They got hair like us!

  • Did they charge you extra because your natural?

  • @shanez89 around my way they do

  • @shanez89 most Dominican shops do charge extra for natural hair, just because its not as easy to do compared to relaxed hair. I don't have that problem however because my hair is relaxed ha! oh. and this was not posted by the woman, it was posted by the salon!

  • Thank you very much for this video. Before I went natural I was getting my hair done at Dominican Salons for as long as I remeber probably 20 years and I don't know how many years my mother and grandmother have only went to Dominican Salons. I was not aware any Dominican Salons were willing to do natural hair.

  • DANG!!! THATS AWESOME

  • o_o

    o.o

    O_O

    O.O

=OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUIBT IT WAS NAPPY!!! JUST LIKE MINE!!!

  • Wow. I'm jealous. I really need to get my ass to a Dominican hair salon.

  • I'm mexican and live by one rule about my hair when it comes to getting it done: ONLY LET A DOMINICAN DO IT!

  • they hooked her up!!

  • that washign looks like it feels good

  • You did a excellent job on her hair! Go mamie. Tell your background people to just go with the flo, and show them how to get paid by being universal in doing hair without alot of chemicals. Because black women spend alot of money on their hair in the run of a month.

  • THAT LOOKS SO GOOD

  • where is this shop located?

  • why is it called dominican blowout?

  • @zaia3957 because dominican people do it to your hair... it's their technique

  • Okay people(men especially)....what is your hair preference for a black woman and why? Be honest. If think perm mean pretty say so, if you like str8 not necessariy permed hair...say so. If u don't like the natural kinky look, say so and why. I'm going natural, for myself and for my daughter and I want to prepare her for the worlds opinion to strengthen her in herself.

  • @KoKoPecanButta22 Do what you want. If you can't be with a man that loves you for you, then you are teaching your child the wrong thing. My husband met me when I cut my hair and went natural. Then I got a txt and had to cut it all off again. My husband doesn't want me to get another perm ever. He thinks my hair is adorable and calls me his lil baby, cause he says that's what it makes me look like. He just wants me to grow my hair and do it in a way that makes me happy. That's LOVE!!!!!

  • why do you roll the hair first?

  • tremenda differencia wow que mano tiene esa peluquera....

  • wow her hair looks beautiful. It's so straight. I want that blow dryer.

  • OMG that is not the same head that is amazin wow i mean WOW i really want to try one know how long did it actually take

  • I'm curious to know how long that lasted..?

  • LOVE THIS SHOP USE 2 GET MY HAIR DONE BY Massiel AS A GIRL USE 2 BE IN BROOKLYN NY ON EAST 18 ST SHE USE TO OWN THE SHOP WITH HER SISTER AND NOW THE MOVED MAN THAT WAS BACK IN THE DAYS.

  • WOW!

  • Thats that real Black/African hair!!!!

  • @TheMiraDemure so what do you consider to be fake black/african hair?

  • @TheMiraDemure

    I KNO NAPPY ASS HELL!!!

  • @TheMiraDemure That is one of the most ignorant statement. Yes she is black, so it would obvious that here would be of some kind of texture. People that are descents of Africa don't just come out some cookie cutter that just have one texture of hair, African's have all different type of textures and OMG even straight.

  • WOW! what a transformation... let me start off by saying that you have ALOT of thick beautiful hair. My hai rs thick and natural too but its short...i think if straightened it would at least come to like the the beginning of my neck...do the dominican salons blow out hair that is about that length? well i kno they do because they wont reject the money but have u seen someone with natural short hair get a blow out that actually turned out to look nice?

  • she did a great job

  • her hair looks great . I like this video because this is my texture of hair. Thank you for posting this

  • how long did that process take? i have natural hair as well, longer than hers and want to get a blow out to change up my style for a bit.

  • I just got one!!! Man, talk about awesome! It was fluffy and flowing in the wind. I love my coils and braidouts but man, this was awesome.

  • @Utada379 How long does it last

  • what products are they using on her hair? cause her hair was just shining after they were done

  • dominican hairdresses ROCK ... and yes i'm black hehehe love ya'll

  • Wow her hair turned out great!

  • Wow.! it looked like a diff. lady.!

  • DAMMNNN she DID your hair!

  • Lol omg is this Silver Spring? I've been here if so, the floor mats n mirrors look sooo familiar. Love my blowouts. Inexpensive (specials) and they last me a good two months even during the summer. Best thing I discovered for myself last year and been natural since.

  • gorgeous!!!

  • omgosh. her hair is so freakin long!

  • Presidente, Brugal y el salon...eso es porque amo a mi pais!!1 jijijiji

  • Nice!

  • that womans hair just went through a lot. Kudos to the hair stylist because i would have suggested a relaxer, or charged a heck of a lot of money, becuase that took a lot of time and would have tested my patience, but the outcome was nice.

  • wow

  • her hair was beautiful BEFORE and AFTER!!! thats such a blessing that she has the hair thats versatile! :)

mine, yea, its a work in progress. lol

  • vedy vedy nice .)

  • we have alot

    dominican hair

    salons where

    i live

  • This was incredible to watch, I was mesmerized. I don't enjoy doing rollersets but these videos make me want to go back to it. Now I have to buy a good overhead dryer, some big rollers and those amazing brushes!

  • wow beautiful hair!

  • where is this hair salon located?

  • Were are you located ?

  • wow... her hair looks so pretty now n its longer...

  • This is really pretty! I just don't like how much heat they had to put on her hair to get it like that....3 steps of heat! But the end results are beautiful!

Her hair looked so much longer when it was straightened out...natural hair length is very deceiving

  • Bonita!! I love it :-) Thanks for posting!

  • funny thing is that you all think some Dominicans dont have that same EXACT hair texture. smh

  • Que bueno!

  • ooo magic,lol.

  • i need that blow dryer lol

  • looks gorgeous! I need one of those blow dryers!!....why didnt they spin her around, I wanted to see the front lol

  • Hi,

What type of hand dryer is being used while drying your hair? Your hair is beautiful.

I am in 5 months of making the transition from relaxed to natural...Do you have any tips to share while on this journey......

  • her hair had a lot of body

  • i cant believe they got that nappy hair straight..my texture is just like that...

  • @Machelle3200 what do you mean all hair straightens no matter how curly it is

  • Wow i thought that was amazing. I've never seen that before. That was too cute!! I loved it!

  • i thought dat syht was never gonna get straight , but i must say the end results turn out lovely

  • my hair was like that, but the lady did roll my hair she just blew it out,, i spent 35 dollars forr something that lasted 3 days, and it slowly went back to its natural state, maybe i need to go to this salon.

  • That looks better than when i get my texturizer done i need to go there!! :)

  • her hair turned out to b so nice... i love it..

but cnt seem to find any dominican hair salon in my area.. any suggestions !!!

  • wow they are better than afro americans

  • Her hair is gorgeous straight or natural.

  • Therres nothing wrong with women of color and I do mean from all countrys and Im puerto Rican and I have cousins who are Black here in NYC black women go to Dominicans all the time do get there hair done and they look amazing what does it matter straight or curly or nappy it still beautiful!

  • Natural Hair is beautiful Hair.

  • that amazing, she did a really good job!

  • very pretty

  • wht was the white stuff she put on her hair?

  • @rosey02us1 leave in conditionor

  • BEAUTIFULL I HAV 2 GO THERE!!!!!

  • hasta rica el agua

  • Good job...natural hair is versatile...nothing wrong with having straight hair every once in a while.

  • woa i wanna try this...my hair looks exactly like this womans in the video and i love my hair it feels healthy but i like to keep it straight....i always do a press and curl but this looks really interesting ( a hairdresser does this in colorado springs???)

  • YES it is a lot of heat. but thats what it takes to get nappy hair that "straight". (this comment will only offend you if you have nappy hair, just being honest.)

  • i love the blowout , but i too have relaxed hair but to be honest its not about which hair is better relaxed or natural its about healthy hair.i have a relaxer bcuz i like the way my hair looks with one, it easier to manage and i jst like my hair like that, rite now im closin up on almost arm pit length, yes relaxers are damaging bt i stretch my relaxers 2 and 3 months at a time to avoid ovrprocessin and my hair is very healthy, so rlly its all abt how u take care of your hair, we all beautiful

  • how long does it stay straight ?

  • @xniiinaaaa if done right a monthh . But yu should go back every two weeks for a blowout .

  • What is the product in the white jar?

  • They do use alot of heat but thats becuz they expect u not to put any more on until u need ya hair done again :)

  • omg,wow i loved it

  • what kind of blowdryer is that

  • Looked Awesome!

  • HEALTHY HAIR is GOOD HAIR everyone =)

  • OMG lols i think i wanna be natrual now by the looks of how the lady made her hair look like a relaxer and plus natrual is healthier. good job

  • Wow..I need to find a Dominican Salon

  • Her hair looks great at the end, I was kind of unsure of how the outcome was going to be from the looks of her hair before, but it turned out great!!!!

  • Beautiful =D

  • My friend is dominican and she has the most beautiful curls I have ever seeen . <33

  • I believe that's a steam blow dryer. It straightens the hair with moist/steamed heat. Thus, minimizing heat damage to the hair versus using a regular blow dryer that delivers dry heat.

  • She hooked her hair Up!

  • @howardchick09- because so few 'black people' wear their hair naturally. It IS a big deal simply because there is a stigma attached with wearing natural/nappy hair.

  • @madterre i'm seeing more and more naurals every where i go and on tv. it's AWESOME it's not as rare as it used to be and that's a great thing. we're embracing who we are. i just wish so many wouldn't put us in a box... you don't have to wear your hair in a fro every day to be problack.

  • @JustTooBeautiful That is true...I like to wear my hair in a fro and ppl think that I'm a girl who doesn't like anyone else but black ppl. I don't walk around with my fist up saying "black power"..lol but "black power!!"

  • AYYYEEE SOY DOMINICANO!! 'BARAHONA'

  • Thank YOU Howardchick09 smh

  • I'm from NY and have enjoyed the Dominican shop blow out OFTEN =). I'm transitioning from relaxed to natural (11 months in) and I know when I'm ready for a blow out they will work it.

  • That lady has a lovely thick head of hair

  • what is the cream they used to set her hair in rollers?

  • que dura esa salonera la felicito de corazon

  • Her hair looks great, but I don't understand the whole deal with being natural. If you want your hair straight get a relaxer. What's the big deal?

  • @Leeskillie09 why damage your g=hair with chemicals?

  • @Leeskillie09 they dont want nothing permaent and i guess heat is considered less damaging to some people

  • @Leeskillie09 The big deal about being natural is really accepting and loving the way God made you despite what the media says is beautiful. Relaxers are also damaging to the hair over time.

  • @Leeskillie09 the big deal is that relaxers have chemicals that cause irriversable damage to the hair. this lady can go and put water in her hair and it will revert but after a relaxer, that cant ever happen

  • @Leeskillie09 If you get a relaxer and then want it curly it doesn't wash out. You'd have to wait for it to grow out. Plus relaxers are really bad.

  • @Leeskillie09 You don't understand why people don't want to put chemical in their hair?

  • @Leeskillie09 once you get a relaxer there is no going back to you natural texture, relaxed hair is less versatile.

  • @Leeskillie09 Relaxers make your hair folicles weaker and more prone to breakage, but this way seems like a healthier way. There doesnt seem to be any drawbacks with this way.

  • @Leeskillie09 relaxers damage hair

  • @Leeskillie09

well she can straight her hair once in a while that's why natural hair is so versatile I mean it's not because she's natural she has to wear her hair curly all the time!

  • @Leeskillie09 Natural hair is HEALTHIER HAIR

  • @kelzJG That's not really true. Caring for hair is what makes it healthier than others. Whether it's relaxed or natural

  • @kelzJG Amen!

  • @kelzJG no not really cuz natural hair can be just as damaged as relaxed if not more it doesnt matter the texture its how you take care of!

  • @kelzJG now that depends on who is taking care of it. some women of color do not know how to maintain their natural hair properly. (so that it grows and remains healthy) just like EVERY perm you see is NOT unhealthy. It just depends......

  • @kelzJG I'll up to that 1! :)

  • @Leeskillie09 Relax or no relax is ur choice--be happy with your choice don't let others debase u. If you prefer it relax then relax it. It is ur hair-if ur happy then that is what matter. I like it kinky and I could not care less what others think about it. If your are comfortable and accept yourself others (no matter the race or ethnicity) will be comfortable and accept you. Don't force yourself on others and don't let them force themself on you but respect others and their choice & opinion

  • I love it!!!!

  • This Lady knows what she's doing. I wish she was closer so she could do my hair. =)

  • i like that ... I never knew of dominican salons

  • @anyce1ERICA that because most of us live in the New York area

  • FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Girl I absolutely love the Dominican hair salons in NY. I stayed in them. They have excellent hair care for hair of all textures, and will hook you up chemical free if you like. I moved to TX and these folks messed my hair up so bad I just loc'd it. Dominican hair dressers are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ReginaYvette I live in Houston and my hairstylist is from NY and the Dominican she is the ONLY person I have found that does a GREAT blow out!!!And she is affordable!!!!

  • wow....never seen it done this way, i earned a lot

  • you can not do this technique often.....to much heat! it turned out nice though because in the beginning i thought it was no hope!

  • I'm speechless...

When I first started watching, I was like good luck getting that straight lol

    But the woman surprised me.

Like damn I wish they were here in Memphis =]

  • @NejiTen13

That ignorance is what keeps the world laughing at Blacks here in the states.

"...good luck getting that straight lol"...you say?

You CLEARLY need more exposure. That woman's head of hair was LOVELY and THICK before the blowout.

  • @nfahwi most of the world despise blacks period. you shouldnt make a statement thats demeaning toward black americans. btw i agree with your last comment and Im a black american female.

  • @opt85 "Most of the world despise blacks"???? Where do you guys get this stuff??? I get that racism still exists (I'm black, and I've had my share of the N word). But, it makes me sad that someone would say that. I've been all over the world, and the world does not hate black people. They hate stereotypes. It's some Americans who hate Blacks. We're not the epicenter of worldwide racism. There's enough of it to go around, I'm sorry to say. It's sad that a hair vid can bring this up.

  • @ecl411 most of the world doent despise black people.

for some unknown reason black ppl tend to be angry at the world and feel the need to be gainst the world, as stated by tupac the "black messiah"

and they tend to be a bit more aggressive than the rest of the ppl on our planet

i'd say, if u're black and feel hated by the world... then fix up ur attitude! LIGHTEN UP!:)

  • @nfahwi

Dude get over yourself. I never said there was anything wrong with her hair. People like you who get offended when people say comments about black hair need to start looking at things differently. Cas my comment wasn't offensive (I don't think). But whatever.

  • @NejiTen13 I TOTALLY agree with you! I was not offended by your statement and I am a black woman with hair that looks just like the lady's in the vid before it was blown out, to me I clearly saw that you were just impressed by the work and you have every right to express your surprise at the outcome.everyone else seemed surprised too. there is nothing wrong with what you said so never mind.sometimes people just need to read carefully the statements others put up before posting replies I guess...

  • that girl's hair was really healthy! It lool like that girl had a perm! It was so pretty. What was that product she used?

  • That came out very beautiful

  • who would've thought.

    her hair came out beautiful.

    thanks for the vid.
