  • @CrashJSTest

It was actually assembled in the Sterling Heights plant in Michigan...

  • that car sucks

  • might as well buy a new car with that money

  • what a a piece of shit

  • @LongLiveToyota that's not a good argument...even die-hard GM fans will admit that the aveo is total garbage (it's also the only GM car entirely manufactured in asia, fyi)

  • Aaaand Rebecca Black was a dumbass and backed in to a tree.

  • Tainted test with bogus data and inflated prices. Get another car similar year and model style. Then park it there and back one into the other and lets see what happens.

  • No no no no no no, if youre going to crash a sebring, make sure its totaled because they all belong in the crusher

  • The Hyundai Sonata was much better :)

  • Side are look like Chevy Cruze...

  • People dont realize that bumpers are shitty today no matter what brand it is,toyota, honda, take a look at a 1989 toyota corolla and smash the bumber and it will be ok,smash a 2011 toyota bumper and its a POS..No matter who made it domestic or foreign bumpers today are POS.

  • @Captainbob25202000 In Canada, vehicles still have to have a 5 mph bumper, so it's not so bad here. But I agree, what we're seeing here in terms of bumper strength is pathetic.

  • crappy domestic POS, I laugh at those that drive this junk

  • @exBMRguy HONDA - Had One Never Did Again

    HYUNDAI - Here's Y U Never Drive An Import

Exit youtube and never never turn on your computer again, American Cars are better then you.

  • @exBMRguy I lol aswell, not all domestic cars suck but most do.

  • crappy domestic POS

  • American made garbage!

  • hey, somewhatlongdong, you must be one of those clueless, shitty-drivin' ling-longs!!!!!

  • hmm nice car, i love how cheap plastic can be easily replaced, thumbs up :)

  • Very interesting!

  • I will scalp the man who invented the fucking pop-up ads in youtube-videos

  • Biggest car fail ever...and not only from this test, just in general.

  • cheap A@% pice of crap

  • That is a poor design! These cars have so many problrms too!

  • Chryster suuuuckksss

  • LOL

  • Ugliest car in the wrld...

  • You can buff that out.

  • My Grand Marquis was made to withstand 5mph bumps without substantial damage. I love the looks of the Sebring though and since I don't crash my cars anyway because I'm not a complete moron, I'd still consider buying one.

  • give me $20 i will hit that shit with a hammer to fix it

  • 20 years ago around here, you were considered a successful person if you drove a Chrysler. 20 years ago, Hyundai was the synonym for garbage and poor. Today, watch this video and then that of the Hyundai Sonata and enjoy a good laugh.

  • absolutely love this car

  • aww faggs keep on talking shit about this car .... i have on 2009 chrysler sebring tourin and it is fucken bad haha HATERS

  • Chrysler suck ass ;)

  • piece of shit!!!!

  • @M0nt4392 Bull shit, if it is heavy and sturdy enough you guys bitch about the fuel economy, now that it is lighter weight, you bitch about it being too flimsy. Give them a break!

  • @adam7ification Look.... i dont like Chrysler never did and never will and it is a piece of shit i could give to shits about what you think.... But know this jus because i dont like chrysler doesnt mean that i dont like Ford And GM atleast they are actually doing something "Crapsler" aint doin shit!!!!!!

  • @M0nt4392 Have you ever driven a Chrysler?

  • @adam7ification as a matter of fact i have my cousins Plymouth "ROCK" Acclaim and its the shittist thing ever....

  • @M0nt4392 Plymouth is bad, but the trucks are good, I had 2 Durangos and 1 Aspen both were trouble free. Also the 300 and Charger are really good I currently have a 300c and it is a beast! Overall, you shouldn't judge a company because you had one crappy car.

  • @adam7ification I'm sorry im just not a Chrysler type of person they have to change their body styles interior design to really plz me so....

  • @M0nt4392 Whateva, we are all entitled to our opinions.

  • @adam7ification YOU DAMN RIGHT ABOUT THAT ONE!!!!!!

  • Fail! the exact same test with a Hyundai Sonata cost 730$ and the car didn't even have a fucking scratch!

    American cars fail.

  • blah blah blah, look at the focus crash test where they back up into a pole, it did absolutely nothing. and Ford is American ALL the way baby!

    you fail.

plus watch those japanese car crashes, they all end up with you dying, by crushing your dome piece. YES! brains everywhere!

  • Your so dumb it's not even worth arguing with you.

  • no, you are dumb, for buying, and liking japaneese cars ya fag! Japan is cool, so are their people, and I LOVE the culture, but their cars suck big fat floppy donkey dick, and you know it!

  • I didn't want to start this but OK!

first, Japanese cars are the best in world. They are number 1 for a reason. Especially Toyota and Honda. Both know to be extremely reliable, safe and high quality cars.

Actually, Korea is just as good as Japanese cars now. Mainly because of the huge spike in quality and sales from Hyundai.

I don't know where the fuck you get your facts from, but I can guess that they come straight out of your ass.

  • the seats of the sonata spank u in frontal collision

  • oh right I forgot just how dumb japanese car lovers are. Amreican cras are just as safe, and reliable as any japanese car out there, plus ford is the reason for why japanese cars are the way they are today, fords use of innovative ideas have paved the way for cars of today, especially the taurus. fords are reliable, safe, good looking, and gas efficient. Just wait until your exaust sytem falls out on your camry, or your tundra splits in half because toyota doesn't know how to build a good frame.

  • The Ford Taurus/Mercury Sable was riddled with transmission problems up until around the mid-late 1990s.

The problems with the transmissions used in the Taurus/Sable/FWD Continental peaked with the introduction of the AXOD-E transaxle, which had higher than average failure rates in the 1991 model year.

The use of aluminum forward accumulator pistons instead of steel pistons and inadequate lubrication volume in the final drive despite full transmission fluid levels are the biggest problems.

  • The material Chrysler/Dodge use on there cars are really thin flexible plastic..GM uses thin hard plastic and ford uses a hard flexible plastic...all of them fail when IIHS test them...

  • wtf 3210 for the damage??? damn here in central america they will fix that for $100

  • Yes, lol, that's how it works!

  • its damage like paper

  • This is why I want a car made of actual steel...

41 Chevy Special Deluxe, here I come!

  • that wont be very economical lol :)

  • I don't care how much of a gas guzzler it is... in the right shade of red that car makes me drool like when Homer sees a donut. Lmao.

  • We were rear ended at 7 MPH in our Kia Optima, and there was no damage. Even the frame, etc, was fine. Domestics suck, we always buy Asian, not to mention, the Asian companies are the ones investing in America with new factories (Kia - West Point Georgia - November 09)

  • These cars are shit. They should just smash up the whole thing.

  • you ever race one? nope? shut up, they are fast as fuck.

  • 235 hp in the biggest engine available. Car weighs 3500 lbs. 0-60 takes 7 seconds? That's fast to you? LOL

  • well if nowdays car which weight that much takes 60mph in 7second that's not bad at all. for example there is only few japanese family cars that can take that 7second. Usually them are over 9second at least.

  • A 1986 Mercedes that is much heaver can get to 60 in less than 7 sec. 0-60 in 7 is not that fast anymore. Oh and sebring bumpers = epic fail

  • @landstrasse36

"Oh and sebring bumpers = epic fail"

Well, that's what you should expect from a car that is a failure completely by itself.

    Sebring = EPIC FAIL

  • @impalaccc Its not slow but not fast either... and no, almost every Japanese family sedan with v6 ,does 0-60 in 7sec or less.

  • @assphincter

I have the 3.5L and it's actually pretty quick.

  • we looked at this about a year ago when looking for a new car, had it as a rental and am very glad we didnt buy it. isent 3,210 the kbb price of what this vehicles worth?

  • lol it lookd like a water bottle smashed then revived

  • wow there goes the frame, rear end. They just dont make cars as solid as they used to :(

  • how does that 3000$ worth of car damage?

  • yes, it is probably a value of damage to the car

  • Stick with the 80s where a bumper actually meaned something.

  • Your Gay.

  • Why can't we do it?!?!

  • wow crysler is lame

  • I agree and just watched the 07 Sonata bumper test, right before this one and that was mighty impressive. I never had an American car and not planning to obtain one either. Some local rednecks tell me that imports are "high maintenance, They're full of shit. Chrysler makes some nice looking cars, especially the mini vans I like, but Quality, reliability, safety, Value retention, Gas mileage, etc ! They simply suck and way behind of the World.

  • WOW, $3000??! THE SEBRING SUCKS!!!

  • That's normal,crashes are mostly that much

  • And now taxpayers are bailing out the makers of this piece of shit? Please!

  • This is why Chrysler had to be bailed out...TWICE!

  • What does this have to do with a bumper test. Most modern cars suck at these bumper tests.

  • its not the car problem. its the test course. look , that cousres is a bar rather than a wall.. and it is solid as steel

  • That "bar" is what a bumper used to be.

  • :20 looks like the bumper ate the crash thingy

  • @somewhatlongdong from kbb

trade in value is almost 10k,private party value is 12k,and 18k is suggested msrp today. and only for the basic model, chrysler models retain their value more than dodge or jeep. The limited model brings in nearly 15k for trade in,17 for private party sale, and msrp of 19k for sale today.so no its not what the vehicle is worth.

  • @Captainbob25202000 they are worthless in my part of the world because 90% are rentals, and lose 50% in the first year.

  • wow.just horrible.

  • i had a 2008 nissan altima that car was fucking awesome untill some shit stick turned into me, and you guessed it, it was made of plastic and everything went everywhere. airbag deployted my car was gone, all you bitches whining about plastic cars just drive safe, dont turn into people like me and total my mother fucking car

  • Korean cars? you do realize that foreign cars started the plastic bumper thing, right? America copied them. Which means everyone else sucks. But anyway it did look like there's nothing under that bumper. At least my 93 LeBaron has solid steel bumpers, covered by plastic. I can bump into anything I want. And they're 5mph bumpers, so if I hit something hard at 5mph, they'll still reset themselves to look normal :)

  • thats how shitty amarican auto makers are.

they sacrifice the looks and put a big ass back bumper but it has no use.

at least korean cars have ugly bumpers but they work and save the body from any contact in a collision.

GM and chrysler should no why they are going bankrupted. simply cuz they SUCK

  • GM and Chrysler are going bankrupt because there is no fucking credit to lease any cars you dumbfuck.

Toyota is asking for 2 billion from the Jap Government as well. Do some fucking research you tool mother fucker.

  • I was just going to say that, the reason they are having a tough time selling is because nobody can get loans right now. work at a bank, and we are EXTREMELY strict on loan rules right now and are hardley giving them out. Plus, I think you are right, I do recall reading that Toyota was seeking money as well, but I dont recall the exact details...

  • Lol. Toyota wasn't seeking money. Stop trolling.

  • *Googles* Toyota was seeking 2 billion for their financial services from japanese government. Although the difference is that they do have to pay it back. You need to do research before you slam other people for their comments. You are not always right.

  • I didn't read the part about the Japanese government. ^_^

  • Really that's funny. Hyundai sales have been UP! LOL

  • And the UAW, don't forget the corrupt UAW.

  • bumper and hood cost 3000 bucks? cmooone

  • The only thing that Sebring can do is look ugly. What was Chrysler thinking when they styled it??

  • Can't this car do ANYTHING right?

  • new bumper and boot n get it fitted n sprayed would no were near be £3210 bull shit

  • Thats 3,200 dollars im not sure what the exchange rate is though

  • Maybe the tub got fucked up...probably about £1800

  • Audi did better

  • fuck plastic, it gave way so much that it fucked up the trunk

  • Yeahhh, I wanted that car to fail so badly and it did!

  • this car is all plastic

  • What the hell are you talking about where your parts are made has nothing to do with anything. It's about how long you waited for the parts to come in and how much you are paying for them.

  • Japanese cars maybe a little more reliable but when they do fall they are expensive to fix and parts are typically harder to find, and a lot of them have to be imported.

  • well chrysler, dodge, and other mopar parts have to be imported from canada

  • "Japanese cars ... are expensive to fix and parts are typically harder to find"

    Depends.

If it's a Mitsubishi or a Subaru, then parts are harder to find because these two are not as common.

But, if it's a Honda or a Toyota, then parts are EASY to find because, as many people own their cars, there is a big market for parts from the aftermarket.

Most of the time, aftermarket parts are good. It's only most electrical parts where it may be best to stick with the original OEM from the dealer.

  • Another series of parts where it may be better if you bought it from the dealer or scavenged from a parts car: body parts.

Most aftermarket body parts may be ill-fitting and/or made with inferior steel or plastics.

  • chrysler sucks. end of story

  • SHIT PLASTIC !

  • this car is not crap, behind the bumper is steal, the bumper is made for a 15km/u hit too a wall. try it with a average europeen car! end their is no bumper left !!!

  • american car! all of them sucks!

  • then dont buy em. Simple as that.

  • Oh wow. Thats intense. =[

  • If it were me I'd probably keep the money and not get it fixed, but I'm just white trash like that:)

  • Haha same here........ Its just a little scratch or two:P

  • that bumper is weak!

  • The bumper usbt weak yyou can see it didnt even hit the bumper it slipped over it,

  • we dont give a shit

  • Serious? $3210 ? you can buy a new car with that

  • soooo ugly! and they also drain your wallet too. Never buy a 2008 sebring

  • plastic crap !!!

  • wow that was crappy!

  • i agree fully as well

  • Wow....even crappy Hyundai Sonata got better result of ~$700.

Chrysler has been making craps lately.

  • actually "crappy Hyundai" you mention is much better quality car than "crappy sebring"

  • FireOFK// you're right. I have to agree. Hyundai's quality has gotten so much better before, better than Chrysler. Chrysler has fallen so much these days.

  • SEBRING DAMAGE $3;210

  • chrysler arne not even as reliable as a hyundai sonata. i had an 06 sonata and never had problems. now i have a 08 chrysler 300 2.7 and has tranny problems about delayed shifts. my 06 sonata was faster than my chrysler 300 and the sonata was a 4 cylinder and 300 is a 2.7 V6
