  • Well since 100+ students were suspended, and their parents were on the students side, they probably just hung out with each other and got a break from school those couple days.

    Students: 1 School: 0

  • perhaps they are trying to prepare them for their future in correctional facilities after they fail at life due to the substandard education they will be recieving there Before anyone gets irate its sarcasm i don't believe their student body will be criminals and i really don't know what their education system is like but it seems truly stupid and doesnt inspire much faith in their ability to educate if they have a melt down at the sight of more than one color at a time.. OMG-plaid! the horror!

  • @MAEVEN1 yeah but you forgot to add " all while the teachers are smiling about it". I really hope they are still weeding out substandard teachers.. that one can smile all the way to the unemployment line

  • Thumb's up if Richmond High School Is fucking retarded

  • Isabellajaimie23 In the real world, employers does has the right to enforce strict dress codes and you want to keep your job, then you must follow their rules. Many say no vissable tattoos, no body piercing and can also regulate what you wear and what is considered appropriate. Such students and parents needs to agree on what the school board sets up on the dress code policy.

  • @patsaxon Real world can be like that. But it isn't wrong to question whether it this kind of dress code is right or wrong. They aren't given a choice at ALL. Might as well just go to be a uniform school, since they don't feel like basically ANYTHING is appropriate.

  • Many companies inforce strict dress codes and do not allow anything with logos, or design. That is what is in the real world, so except it!

  • @patsaxon But this isn't a company. Students aren't being paid to follow useless rules like these.

And in the real world, people can wear whatever they want. The real world isn't ONLY made of companies that enforce those rules.

  • We all should throw a riot demanding that uniforms become illegal and allow us to wear whatever we want. bullshit schoolboard.

  • @IlikeFoodnDrink Burn the fucker down.

  • worst dress code ever

  • Comment removed

  • WOWW... That's the stupidest thing I've ever head in my life! They aren't really giving them much of a choice on what to wear! What that girl in the pink had on was perfectly fine and it was a solid like they said wtf is wrong with plaid? Dang if I were at that school I'd be expelled because I wear plaid lol xD

  • Wow really just clothes.? Clothing can show alot about you as a person. Go get I good job wearing jeans and no tshirt mann.

  • 1:32

God damn that is the most ignorant argument I have ever heard. I hate it when people use the populist argument.

Why don't they actually use an explanation WHY are these absurd dress codes are beneficial.

  • it seems as if the associate superintendant finds it amusing.

  • Girls look sexy in uniform. That would be too much of a distraction

  • i am for studdents warring what thay want to where but when it comes to my personal safty the that dress coad is fone with me whereing close like the girl was whereing may not be revilling any thing but it could concel a weapon not that she would do that but i would like to know if she has a gun or not and the only way to do that is by having a dress code that is stricked but not to stricked. students should be aloud to where the color that they wount as long as it is a solid color.

  • miracle whip is a party in my mouth!

  • Idiot administrators. They should be more interested in combating school bullying.

  • I have never seen such inbred idiots just wear the goddamn clothes jesus CHRIST!!!!

  • @ManitarJones so you want us to just sit by while people who think that they're always right no matter what tell us how to run our lives. I don't think so! This country was made by people standing up for what they believe in and I applaude them for their courage to stand up for their own personal opinion. We are not just bricks in the wall, we are not slaves to other people, we are human beings who have the right to protest and rise up as one body of people to let our voices be heard!

  • @kickthebaby1001 Yeah we sure do but when you shit bricks just because of clothes that is immature and a waste of time.

  • @ManitarJones in your opinion yes, which is not fact.

  • @kickthebaby1001 I know that's why I said and just to let you know Sherlock Holmes 2+2=4.

  • @ManitarJones When did I say anything about math? I never included anything involving 2+2 not equalling 4

  • @kickthebaby1001 ok forget about that but they are just fucking clothes

  • @kickthebaby1001 I know that's why I said that. Are you trying to prove a point? And why would they purposely and knowingly disobey what the school asked them to do? That's not being courageous that's being ignorant and retarded.

  • @ManitarJones Why follow them if they're wrong in the first place? They're only making the students wear the uniforms to please themselves and their oh so perfect world which is still in the 1950's

  • @kickthebaby1001 Umm no... They are not wrong its just different. Honestly its not about trying to be perfect and the 50's reference I don't even fucking understand but the school is just enforcing a rule. What is so bad about wearing plain clothes?????!!!!! for fucks sake its not a conspiracy to take away your personality.

  • @kickthebaby1001 They are not wrong its just different. All you have to do is just go to a different school or get over it. It's just clothes!

  • I would have protested too.

  • 8===========D ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • For kids in the UK this is hardly something new practically every school has not just a strict dress code but a school uniform so you can't even choose your fave colour. The worst part being ties and blazers.

  • @Ansuzie I'm a sophomore of a public high school in California and we don't wear uniforms and there isn't a strict dress code, but I think what you mentioned is interesting and I wouldn't mind if my school suddenly decided to make everyone wear ties and blazers because it's less of a distraction anyway.

  • @dogwiskers I don't mind having a uniform it saves having to think of what I'm going to wear everyday. But I hate having tight things around my neck so the ties were horrible and we had to have our top shirt buttons done up.

We always had to wear our blazers, even when it was hot, unless we had special permission. I got off there cos of a medical condition. But if we had our blazers off, we had to have our shirts tucked in all the way round. Very uncomfortable.

But you can't win them all.

  • Proper attire? Skank.

  • Yeah... Theres really nothing a school can do to force me to wear what they want, otherwise i'd just go to another school.

  • that stupid Teacher needs to stop smiling

  • WOW! I would hate to go to that school!

Pretty much all i ever wear are skinny jeans and band shirts pretty much

  • Oh shit, I forgot how to read because there's a logo on my shirt. / WTF bullshit dress code is this? Suspending students interferes with their learning more than wearing the wrong clothes.

  • my school you have to wear a polo with no logos. no design. no regular shirts. has to be a polo. and pants have to be no patterns no designs no colors. just blue.

    and the APPROVED colors are:

khacki black navy blue white and maroon. thats it.

i HATE that school now. absolutely hate it because of the dress code.

theres a school like not too far from there but im not zoned.. and they dont have a dress code. D; they doin nada with a dress code. NOTHING.

  • What a bullshit dress code.

  • @delrocks101 thank you!!!! We have a dress code at our school we can only wear khakis and polo's it's so gay!!!! A kid could easily bring a gun in that is in a tucked in shirt

  • @invisiontunes haha wow sucks for u. And Yankees really wow....

  • This is stupid.. Dress codes aren't for 'safety' or bullshit like that, it's to make the higher-ups feel powerful. Guess what? You don't look powerful, you look like underpaid assholes who sit in their mothers basement trying to think of ways to strip America's youth of it's personality and uniqueness.

  • @deirocks101 you are absolutely correct.

  • gay

  • what is the point of dress code

its like living in Soviet union

    or in nazi germany

    xD

  • I go to richmond.This dresscode sucks

  • today at my school was "break the dress code day" (declared by students) but i didnt even hear about it until today and no one else did either so it just sort of failed. But "Hug an Asian Day" worked out great! XD

  • Dress codes are bullshit. They serve no purpose but to promote the fallacy that "good people" look & dress a certain way.

  • dress codes are stupid. i dont follow mine

  • bullcrap!!!!!!!!!!!! students should express their style

  • BOOOOOO FOR YOUTUBE ADS

  • BOOOOOO FOR YOUTUBE ADVERTISING

  • Why are schools so prison-like and authoritarian nowadays? We didn't have to deal with this garbage in the 80s and 90s. What is so wrong with students expressing themselves?

  • @OmegaWolf747 : prisonlike?...when I was in school I had to wear a suite, tie, polished black leather shoes and neatly combed short hair. We were not allowed to talk in class unless it was to the teacher. I once had a test grabbed off my desk and the teacher scratched a huge "F" on it because I turned my head and it was percieved that I was trying to talk to someone. I saw kids get slapped right out of their chairs on to the floor because they disrespected the teacher. Good old Catholic School

  • damn!!!! look at those teeth at 1:16. that's nasty

  • Freakin clothes Gestapo is what they r. I wwould go as many colores i could get. then go out screaming

  • stupid stupid stupid

  • fuck that school speaker woman

all the ppl are so dumb theyre just control nazis

  • america needs to get a friggin grip. cant everyone see that the gov and everyone else is trying to control us. but everyone just wants to let it happen cause they are to friggin lazy to do anything about it

  • my school just sent me a letter stating that on October 5 2009 we have to wear a formal dress code every Monday and on February 1st 2010 we have to wear it everyday. i think its wrong schools are trying to control people not only in the schools but in our homes as well

  • So the schools communist eh?

  • I am sorry that you are stuck in England. Lul. We got away from there to express ourselves. America, the land of the free..lul. Seems to not be true anymore these days. A dress code is needed, but suspending 400+ students...wow. Way to fail RHS.

  • Let's see how far the I am a fat bitch with an attitude mentality she is teaching her daughter gets her in college....in HS parents opinions still matter, my daughter's whale tail is a sign of her dedication to living a life free of the social constraints of society....it is funny how being held accountable for your actions really only matters for those professions you need a college degree for....showing up with your whale tail hanging out just might hold you back in the real world....

  • How many of those parents have showed up to a PTA meeting, a school board meeting, or even parent teacher conferences? If you wish for your child to be able to express themselves or to define who they are by what they wear...let them stay home with you and eat Oreo's while watching Maury. They will be sitting right next to you anyways in a few years. Let the kids who want to better their minds go to school and let your kids just bitch and do nothing all day except protest this bullshit....

  • That blonde administrator is a bitch.

  • i hope someone shoots that robot of a head teacher in the face with a 12 gauge

  • to invisionTunes: I am an American and I totally agree with you. Kids show up to schools in the USA these days looking like prostitutes, gang members or homeless people. It is just one more indication of the disintegration in American society, it is just another brick in the wall thats crumbling & eventually the entire structure will cave in (which is what is happening).......it is like all the mental patients have gotten loose and are now running the asylum.

  • when I was in school......50 kids to a class, girls sat on one side of the class....boys on the other side, you could not look in any direction except the teachers...absolutely no talking except to the teacher, boys had to wear navy blue suits & with ties, girls had to wear school uniforms, shoes had to be polished and boys had to have "short hair"....you were not allowed to slouch in your seat...you had to sit up straight and your hands folded on the desk.....prison?...no, CATHOLIC SCHOOLS__!!

  • @inkey2 i wouldnt listen AT ALL . i have neck problems. even though im 13. i always have to slouch in a chair so theres some type of pressure point to rub my neck.. because it hurts...

  • REBEL

  • Police state USA!!!

    iab

  • iab

  • QQ low class parents.

  • With all the problems schools have, THIS is what makes the news?

  • lots of schools have dress codes. big deal.

  • lol ok regulations in England have nothing to do with regulations in America. Just because others are stripped of the freedom to wear their own cloths doesn't mean everyone has to be. Sure it may be something as minuscule as clothing but just think of how utterly ridiculous it is to not be able to wear your own clothing. There is absolutely no logical or valid reason behind these suspensions and only causes inconveniences for everyone. lmao not to mention teachers dont even follow the dress code

  • to PankationGod: I do understand why alot of schools in the USA have instituted a dress code.....for a number of reasons. One being that gangs are a real problem...and the schools believe if the kids are allowed to display gang colors it could result in fights and shootings. Things have gotten so out of hand in the USA that I think schools are slamming on the brakes too hard and jamming it in reverse.....trying to take some kind of control back in our society....

  • How ridiculous is that?! Bergdoll or however she spells it wheres shirts that really show her collar bone every single day. Students called her out and she responded with something like, don't argue with me. Or something retarded that you could expect one like her to say. It is ridiculous that kids at RHS are being treated so unfairly.

  • wheres should be wear* lul. Way to be half asleep and commenting on youtube. xD

  • Oh boo hoo. Hey, I have to wear a uniform to school. Stripping kids of their personality - if the only way you can show off your personality is by the way you dress, that's pretty sad. It isn't that hard to abide by the dress code.

  • Pretty sure it isn't our fault that you go to a private school. ;)

  • Ha, I live in Singapore. All the government schools here have uniforms. Don't hear us bitching.

  • now thats a good little servent

  • OMG I went to school there's this is b/s an outrage! OMG RHS is really going down hill now. S*** it was bad when I went but god this is worse!

  • I'm so embarrased :(

  • Oh forgot to mention what about Pentecostal females who have to wear dresses? this dress code does nothing but break the law. it undermines the First Amendment of the Constitution under the Freedom of religion part. Not to mention all the problems that's gonna start. "They can wear dresses but we can't wear shorts?" (eg.) . Point is schools need to stop picking a fight cause then they are no better then the students they teach.

  • it's so ridiculous. my sister almost got suspened for wearing two shirts. that doesn't even make sense. and my other sister's boyfriend got suspended for wearing a black/grey plaid shirt that buttons up. people wear shirts like that to jobs! there was nothing wrong with it.

And there's nothing wrong with that girl's dress. i don't understand what's wrong with it.

the dress code should barely be an issue.

  • the clothing that they've been providing have been getting students suspended also. and when they suspended people wednesday they suspended more than 200 and they held them in different rooms for more than 4 hrs and i was told a lot of them wasn't even given lunch.

  • OMG THAT'S CRUELTY!

  • and wrong suspend them for wearing the clothes proved wtf!

  • They only held them soo long because they didn't weren't their attendance to be in the dumps. What kind of crap is that?!

  • weren't should be want...lulz. xD

  • Kristi's top appears to be distracting, it's a little bit "loud".

  • ha ha that's exactly what i said when i saw it
