cheers for the few positive comments , doing this in the car park a couple years ago has helped me no end in my riding. My body position is now totally different , and now i know when i tip it in at an island or a fast corner i am very comfortable with lean, i know how far i can go safely, the knee is afterall only a gauge. its all a learning curve imo.
youd be surprised the grip modern tyres have . trust them.
why would dirt throw him off? maybe diesel or petrol would and the car park is more or less empty so there is no real risk apart from maybe dropping it and then it will only scratch or crack the fairing
@martman0 I crashed a few times in my life and i know whats the best way to damage a bike, and infront of a camera is a good one.Ive never done it infront of anybody or a camera but i have recorded some footage. And crashing like this i hope you realise that fairing costs alot, and usaly a clutch lever, and a blinker or two and a foot peg.Not to mention wrists get broken easily on these slow ones when u try to prevent your head smashing into the ground.CarLot is not the place.
i know how much fairings cost and i dont disagree about the cost but i doub at that speed he will get anymore than a scuff and even if it is worse it can be repaired fairly easily. fair enough it can all add up. i don disagree that a car park is not the place but it is almost empty and is better than him doing this on a road.
ya there is dirt on car parks, what do u think that streetsweepers go through with a fine tooth comb to remove every grain of sand. its happened to me. ya cracked and majorly scratched fairing, scratched pipe (bracket dented and moved), mirror, brake pedal, front cowling also scratched. ur an idiot. sand and great street tires when leaning is a sure fall. and its worse if u try to counter it cause it'll whip u down on the opposite side.
also those markers for parking spaces have a smaller Co than the pavement so its not confidence inspiring when u get really low cause the tire slips a tiny bit and catches, slips and catches. and u don't think fairings cost a lot? best is new industrial loading area when they are closed. nice new pavement and u can scout a small area withouth dirt.
Good on ya lad, stick at it, once you get that body position right, it comes naturally. Check out my vid, I go really slow and still manage to get my knee down! Just don't let twats like pmay222 put you off. They are just 8 year olds on mummies laptop.
yep , you . for your information as you obviously have difficulties,it was the first attempt and did actually make contact. it was a bit of fun. muppet

Whole body position needs to be off left of bike, head out looking past left mirror. Bike thus more upright. Hanging your bum off is not the way lol.

Best way to wreck a bike.Going round circles or car park till you hit that spot of dirt..Keep persisting, its gonna come.

are these white "marking-lines" dangerous for practicing???
fizzefazzehandstand2 4 years ago
Not particularly. Paint on asphalt is usually only a problem if it's glossy in texture, or rain has made it slippery.
