  • Amazing! Wish more artistes would explain aspects such as these for unusual ragas. I notice the absence of the characteristic madhyama kala phrases in this Dikshitar composition. Has TMK done this piece with swaraprastharas as well?

  • Absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing. I loved every second of it. Muthuswami Dikshitar's genius is probably unsurpassed. The rendition itself is rather minimalistic, especially with the percussion being light. This actually accenuates the voice and the drone. Special mention of the violinist who has done an excellent job.
