My friend Jimmy Miller produced this--along with Traffic-Blind Faith-Kracker-and five Stones albums--"Mr. Jimmy" wasn't Hendrix--but if you try sometime you just might finally get what you need.-he's gone since '92--RIP.
20 years later and I'm still listening to this track over and over. My kids (7 and 4) ask for it in the car every trip. It's just sublime. Weatherall was the boss. Anything he and Hugo Nicolson touched was an anthem for the early 90's.
I bought this on 12 inch, taped it and then played it in the 6th year common room. They all looked at me like I was mad. It got taken off after 5 mins. I was right then and I am right now. Idiots.
Love this. Bought it, taped it and played it in the 6th year common room. Everyone looked at me like I was on another planet. It got turned off after 5 mins. I was right then and I am right now, bunch of idiots.
Brilliant, thanks for posting that up, I think I had this on tape when it was out and could never find it again. Difficult to get hold of Dixie Narco EP, so was great to find it on here. Screamadelica live sounds great, missed it recently but theres always 2011 ones. They're streaming it on BBC iPlayer Radio 6 at moment.
I usually enjoy this tune summer evenings with a cold beer and couple cigarettes... 1 june, is gonna be the summer evening with Screamadelica for does who cares enough to enjoy life ith this tune.
I also bought this, and my opinion's the same now as it was then - this should have gone on the album. Kinda like George Martin leaving Strawberry Fields off Sgt Pepper...You can hear the whole spirit of the era in this monster tune
@YouMadeMeMiss This was written and released one year after the LP of the same name. So it couldnt have been included on the original LP could it? Similar in feel yes (Weatherall after all) but also a progression in my view. And yes i agree, its Timesless!
outy1978, i heard this in a wiccan store years ago so got the ep but this was not the same mix as i heard in the store do you know if they did another mix of this..
One of the sexiest dance records ever made!

An absolutely brilliant track. I still have the 12 " EP from the original release and I am not selling it - funky zone.

Yeah they should have trimmed it for the album and then released the full 12" single seperately.

@outy1978 the fact that this track wasnt as easily available as the album makes it even better! sexy track!
