  • Very inspiring.

  • Back in about 1998 Pastor was in Richmond,Va i saw him walking through the omin hotel he ministered to me for about a good six minutes,God knew what i needed at that timebecause i was a mess and God used Pastor E.V. Hill to speak some things into me that has come to past thank you pastor. love you always until we meet again

  • I have heard him many times, he was a great preacher!!!

  • Lord, they don't make 'em like EV Hill no more. I loved this man's preaching.

  • @AveIvy MYLORRDDD so sadly true. saw his preachn on salvation last night. wished he was still preachn here!

  • Allowing the Word Of God to answer the question "should a woman preach." I think you will be surprised by what the bible says about this subject. An there is nothing biblically we can do about it! and I did say biblically !

  • enjoyed this

  • one of a kind, the anointed great pastor, EV Hill. I miss him

  • I first heard this sermon on Focus on the Family radio show. I was driving and had to pull over because I started crying so hard. I come from a good old baptist background and when I heard his words (later ) of "When the Lord taketh away...BLESS IT!" I could hear the his heart was laid right out on that dais that day! I will never forget Dr. Dobson's words: "For those of you who might be tempted to write or call to complain, don't bother!"

And I said AMEN to that!

  • @geldridge I heard it on Family Radio.....It moved me so....A powerful, powerful sermon.....

  • Wow I was here! I think it was Trinity Church. I know it was on Jefferson . I drove 70 miles to pay my respects. This was some day. I was at the top of the church it held a couple of thousand. I barely got in. Wow. I think this was 87 or 88. Wow.

  • Thanks for posting one of the greatest preachers of all time. He's the reason that I would stay up late to watch TBN. We need more like him. Lord knows it's true. I miss his style and way with words. His passion and conviction spoke better than his choice of words and would just captivate me. I miss him so. Here is a better man than most.

  • Do you have Dr. Hills sermon "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO HELL"? If you do please post it.

This sermon will help to save a lot of souls for the kingdom of God...

  • thank you so much for posting this. this is the truth i have been looking for him and could not remember his name and i finally went to tbn website and went to the archives and found him!!!!! I love this man of GOD and thank you and may GOD bless you for posting his word and spreading his word around the globe!!!!!God bless you!!!!!!

  • when did he died?I just started watching him on tbn.

  • He died on Feb.22, 2003. His remains was viewed at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Friday of the next week. The following Saturday, he was funeralized @ West Angeles Church of God in Christ by Bishop Charles E. Blake, pastor.

  • why isn't this sermon used to train pastors wives / awsome word

  • AMEN to that!!

  • Kenobi58:

Thanks for this posting. PLEASE correct the title to read "wife's funeral". He is not preaching about multiple spouses(wives). He is preaching the funeral of his wife. (wife's funeral). Thanks.

  • Can't Get No Race Horses out of MULES!!! I Love it!!!

  • I know right...that was a word, lol

  • What strength it took for this wonderful man to give this sermon at his wife's funeral. This is a very powerful message and we should all be blessed by hearing it.

  • This sermon is available on CD from the Focus on the Family website. As this was featured as part of one of Dr. Dobson's radio programs. One of the most moving sermons I believe I have ever heard! Very good to share this with someone going through loss of a loved one.

  • To God Be the Glory For this great Man Of God. We need more Men of God to be faithful to God as Dr. E. V. Hill, I must say I have a Man of God myself. Which I'm bless to have.

  • HALLELUJAH JESUS! I WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLE,thank God no more.

  • You just don't get this kind of preaching anymore. Absolutely phenomenal... Just tell it like it is.

  • Lawd we need more classy ladies in the church....inside and out!!!!

  • I consider myself to be a strong man but it takes a special man to preach his own wifes funeral.

Rev. Hill was a special man!

  • Does anyone know 1) Why there aren't more of his sermons on youtube? 2) Where I can get more of his sermons?

  • I havent even heard the message but I love Jesus and Thank God for this man!!!! So great and strong and True in Christ Jesus!!!!

  • Always loved to hear Pastor Hill. One day I'll get to meet him in heaven!

  • This message has become part of my life.
