  • @sh7de If you cant speak german, you are the first person that i´ve ever seen in my whole life who can write without mistakes in an language which he dont know.

  • DOOOH (dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun)

DU HAST (dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun)

DU HAST MICH (dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun)

  • i'd like to see this with the surefire 60 rounders

  • @medadoodie

I'm not talking about the LWRC. I'm talking about the HK416. It was in a response to a comment two years ago....where we didn't have the reponse thingy....Please....Leave me alone people.

  • The only problem I have with this rifle is that it is supposed to replace the SAW in some circumstances. the SAW has a 200 rd belt, where as this H&K is a 30rd'er. At the very best, they could use those beta mags which could give it a 100rd cap, but those beta mags are a little heavy.

  • @Marshmallowrex the hk version of this gun is in bf3....buy bf3 if u want to use it

  • im sorry but if anyone is willing to tell me, what is the difference between an automatic rifle and a semi-automatic rifle?

  • @phillipparent11 - Semi-automatic rifles require a pull of the trigger to fire a single round. You want to shoot 30 rounds, you have to pull the trigger 30 times.

An automatic rifle can continuously fire by depressing the trigger (basically a 'machine gun'). The gas produced from firing a round is rerouted and used to push the piston back, automatically chambering a new round and allowing the process to repeat.

  • @mtrtrm lol tats actually what I thought but I was doughting myself a bit, thanks though

  • so this is pretty much an M4 with a thicker barrel. What makes them think this will suffice as a squad MG? Not to mention why waste all that money contracting another company when you can just order thicker barrels and put them on some of the M4s?

government logic at its best...or worst I should say

  • @Alexn1067 Well, for one thing, this is not the same as an HBAR M4A1. This gun fires from a closed bolt during semi-automatic operation but switches to an open bolt for full-auto. It's also driven by a piston instead of direct gas impingement. Either of those two features would make it more suitable for sustained, fully automatic fire than a heavy barrel M4A1. Perhaps the closed/open bolt operation was developed enough, perhaps LWRC didn't have a prestigious enough name, but they went HK.

  • @Alexn1067 Yeah I'm at a loss for words. This rifle is only an M4 that can fire from an open bolt. If I am a squad automatic gunner, how the hell am I supposed to keep up sustained fire and suppress the enemy when I have to reload every 10 seconds?

  • Do we need a supressor on a support weapon......

  • i'm amazed that on future weapons they were making out it was a whole new concept :S this concept of IAR has been in the british army since 86' with the LSW and equally with the russians with the RPK :P its essentially a light support weappon :P

  • The whole thing of the IAR is that it doesn't stand out on a fire team, but functions as the machine gunners weapon. Takes the same mags and drums as everyone else, so there is that versatility. They just made it so it could go full auto longer and better and can fit where the m249 or m240 can't. Travels bolt closed to stay clean and fires bolt open to release heat. A full auto m4 with constant full auto use will overheat and fail. Seen mags get blown off and chambers explode that way.

  • I'd take the LWRC over the HK IAR anyday. Big mistake USMC.

  • @THEKINGOFMETROPOLIS LWRC is a newer company, H&K has been around for a long time. Seeing how their G3/MP5 capture all the LE and many armies they got the experiences. H&K is usually pretty good towards gov't agency...much better than civilian world (despite many of the money comes from civilian industries)

  • H&K did redesigned at the behest of the US government. To help improve certain acclaimed weakness of the short barrel M4 under certain conditions. Basically it's still a M16 variant like the rest. also think the LWRC is one, If not the best of the bunch out there.

  • WHY the German music ? Why the open bolt auto with a piston rifle. I thought that was suppose to" fix" everything with the M16 platform. Don't get me wrong I love the LWRC rifles, and even more so with the slower rate of fire. But did not Colt already do this years ago just without the piston op system. yl

  • @ylism Open bolt is for sustained full auto to bleed off heat faster than a closed bolt.

  • @DI Yes I know about that.Thank's thou. It's a cool toy but it's old tech, Colt did it years ago. The piston was to fix that. According to the advertisement they say cooler cleaner ect. And they do run cooler in chamber, So where is the real need. Just slowing the cyclic rate should do that. It's a novelty at best. A nice one Indeed. But so was the Colt of days gone by. It was found to be unnecessary thou. It has some limits of use as well. Just watch the longer video about it. Best, yl

  • it looks like a m4 whats the difference

  • Does anyone know what firing in the open bolt position means?

  • @griffy85b It is so that the bolt, chamber, and barrel can cool down faster, and reduce the chance of cooking off(a round setting off in the chamber by heat).

  • Will that open bolt parts kit drop into an M16A1 lower?

  • This is nothing special... there are many piston ar's available now..

  • LWRC should not have lost out to HK. The M6A4 was more suitable for sustained fire. Open bolt is a big deal for something that needs to function as an LMG from time to time.

  • @UnkleMusket

The HK weapon IS open bolt.

  • what size barrel is this gun?

  • there is absolutely no reason to get replace the SAW, especially with this piece of shit

this design is gonna set us back 90 years, and its not even fuckin 7.62 like the BAR was

    3 years- 249 gunner

  • @Sturmmann

    I like cake

  • @drbackjack

dude....what kind of cake, we might be able to find common ground here

  • @Sturmmann What?

  • @YOWHATTHEHELLUP71

idk but the cake is a lie apparently

  • @Sturmmann i think theyre tryin to cut down on the weight of a 556 machinegun., theyre new "saw" or squad level automatic weapon is the mk 48 which im sure u know is a pretty lightweight 308 that really puts out some lead., so this is good., its gonna put more firepower into the soilders hand at a light weight n feed the reg mags better., as im sure u know as well the 249 doesnt like reg mags very much as the angle theyre on kinda makes em wanna jam as well as the fast cyclic rate

  • @entstephen

mk 48s have only seen action with some SF units.

the 249 is ok with mags, I havent had many jams, however Ive never gone through all 3 of my main drums to get to the back up mags.

ive done it in training and had very few jams, ROF was higher too

  • @Sturmmann yeah buddy , i know mk48s are only in specialized units as of right now., but the iar isnt fielded yet either, im talkin hypathetical rplacements in the future.,and i too am a fellow saw gunner., for 5 yrs, n am an oif n oef vet., n never really ran outta belts either, but it is a bulky weapons platform for 556, i was jus sayin., if imma carry a 12 pd machine gun id rather it be 308., so i think a smaller 556 full auto is in need., n aparently so does the army, thx 4 ur service also

  • @entstephen

The 249 is the only thing that I could depend on to save my team, to get rid of it cause some boot complained about its weight is as stupid as the switch from M14 to M16 or 1911 to M9.....

with this mag fed POS we're gonna be stepping back 90+ years in full auto development to the idea of the BAR

one belt one kill... fellow 249 gunner

  • @Sturmmann really , mine jammed like a sumbitch with 30 rd'ers hahah prob cause i had that bitch runnin to HOTTTT hahaha me n short bursts didnt get along well:)

  • LOL i love this song

  • its not german its just got a german song lol

  • @27mbg lol yeah your correct lol.

  • its not a german rifle. it was made because just like the M4 its compact for close quarters combat and can also keep an open bolt on auto so it will keep the internals cool and keep a bullet from cooking off from the extreme heat. this is an AMERICAN weapon with a german song.

  • When he switches from FA to Semi; the locked bolt closes. Does that make the selector switch much stiffer?

  • du... du hast... du hast mich.... du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt!!!

    btt: LWRC RULES!

  • its a good rifle, one of my favs. nice display of it in this vid

  • Nice vid, nice gun, good shooting, horrible music

  • TheDennyvu, The open bolt helps keep the gun cool and therefore more accurate, it also stops any chance of a round cooking off in the chamber.

  • Nice gun, crap for music. Sounds like a gay nazi.

  • Doesn't the open bolt design make the gun less accurate in full auto?

  • FA isn't exactly accurate anyway. Open bolt allows for more airflow through the barrel which helps it cool faster.

  • damn this video makes me just want to go to war myself! hawt damn MAAA!!! fire up the grill!!!!!!!

  • open bolt auto... fucking awesome

  • What a fucking troll.

  • Comment removed

  • ar drums are extremely not reliable.

  • Why use this song ? Nice rifle for sure...Let the sounds of the rifle sing, It's way better.

  • wrong one cripeled

  • cool song

  • It look like he isn't reloading because he isn't closing the bolt as in an M-16, but the rifle shoots from an open bolt like a machine gun. The bolt stays open so the hot bolt face doesn't cook off rounds. What is really cool is the weapon seems to be selectable between open bolt and closed bolt for low rate fire.

  • he doesnt even reload after changing the empty mag.!!

  • Well, that worked. I'm not typing my response out again. I'll just say that the three have been down-selected again. It is now Colt vs. FNH.

  • lololol scar rapes colt. i own the scar and sold my colt.

  • Agreed, but, I'm curious. How much did you have to spend to buy your SCAR?

  • when i bought the scar i bought the other barrels with the upper recievers because lets face it. if your in the field and you have to go from cqb to a 600 yard shot, a 5 min barrel swap is going to be a pain in the ass. I own the mk 16 and 17. with out the other accessories and upper recievers 2200 for mk16 and 2400 for mk17. but it is worth it. Really accurate, light weight, top notch iron sights, reallyyyyy reliable too but its not like a hk416's reliabilty prob.

  • Why the hell won't it let me post my response?

  • This is the weapon that should have been tested:

    KAS Stoner LMG

All of these other faux Squad Weapons are missing key ingredients of a true Squad Auto Weapon. 1. Belt Fed: this allows an unrelenting volume of fire 2. Full Auto only, select fire in a SAW is asking for problems in an Ambush situation, if your 1st shot is semi auto, you have already lost the battle, 3. Quick change barrels to prevent overheating problems. Overheating a barrel = death of accuracy. Infantry 101.

  • My point was the LWRC should not be courting the Marine Corps. Someone in the S3 shop thought that this was a good idea and is running with it. I think LWRC pitched this to the Marines, not the other way around. Bottom line it is the wrong tool for the job. Again, you cannot replace a belt-fed, removable barreled open bolt weapon with a rifle, it has been tried numerous times (M14A2, M16Support Variant, BAR). LWRC is just plain wrong for continuing this farce. American made or not....

  • I also have a serious problem with this rifle. The yokles at LWRC are trying to pimp this gun to the Marines as a replacement for the M-249. Let me tell you this as a former Marine Infantry NCO. You cannot replace a belt fed weapon with a magazine fed weapon. The SAW is designed to created a volume of fire, period. This allows you to locate, close with and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver. This is the definition of the job of the USMC infantry.

  • It is the Marine Corps that is looking for an Infantry Automatic Rifle. LWRCi didn't just throw together this rifle for nothing. The only IAR contestant that has the ability to used belted ammunition was the Ultimax, which was not down-selected. Colt, H&K, and FNH were. The two entries that Colt put forth are DI H-Bar ARs, the H&K a HK416 H-Bar, and the FNH, a SCAR H-Bar. The LWRCi and the Ultimax were the best two, in my opinion.

  • Oh, and it is NOT to replace the M249, rather, it is to supplement it. Please, get your facts straight, Cruisemissile1.

  • I have been following the development of this rifle for years, here is a quote from LWRC's site: It was developed for the United States Marine Corps Infantry Automatic Rifle program,

-->which seeks to replace the M249 SAW with a lighter, more reliable and durable 5.56mm weapon

  • ok what is the difference between this and an HK416?

  • Its cheaper. Because those Germans really like to squeeze you for money. The price for a USP is outrageous.

  • It fires automatic from open bolt.

  • ummmm after putting 15,000 rounds through it, and owning it for over 6 months i can respectfuly disagree.

  • 15,000 rounds and 6 months? Weapons spend years in development and have millions, with an "M" of rounds in all types of temperatures, environments under high stress.

Also you don't own a GPIAR, it would be impossible since the last Select Fire M16/AR15 a civilian could buy was built in 1986.

You own an LWRC Semi-Auto, which is a great rifle, but the average Squad Auto Weapon gets 15K rounds or more thru it every trip to the range....

  • I am not a civilian. Who ever said i was a civilian??

  • You mean "XE"? (Blackwater does not exist anymore) If that is the case you don't "own" this rifle. Regardless of your affiliation you personally cannot own this weapon. If it is a dealer sample it belongs to the company, if you are LEO/MIL it belongs to the department or DOD. A civilian cannot own this rifle

  • yeah... maybe they mean they have them for the army.

  • I might work for black water ;)

  • it needs a beta c mag ^^

  • They jam quite a bit though.

  • Does anyone know if the new lwrc rifles come with np3 nickel plating???

  • das ist kopi und patent von H&K ,,M4..nur das munution ist amerikanisch.6.point

  • mmm...looks a LOT like a surtain German weapon...

  • Actually it looks a lot a like a certain American weapon that half the world's assault rifles are based on (the AR-15)

Nothing against German weapons, HK kicks ass

  • @SaintofLosAngelesxdm and what does the hk 416 look like huh? douche

  • Yep....A German weapon that is a piston version of an AMERICAN weapon.

  • HK takes 'problem weapons' like the British bullpup design, or the American M4 and tweak it 'til it actually works. If Stoner had got it right, what, 50 years ago, this discussion wouldn't be going on. BTW, the gas system that Stoner used was 'lifted' from the Swedish Ljungman rifle.

  • Doesn't change the fact the original design , format, and recognizable silhouette is of United States origin.

  • @LaRueDeeko are you talking about the gun in the video cause thats all american theres just german music in the background:)

  • @AR15alltheway

I wrote that a year ago, so I barely remember....

Well...the comment is not about the video. It was a response to some guy who, ignorantly said suggested that the LWRC shown here was a copy of a German weapon....

  • @LaRueDeeko LWRC is based in America, with American owners manufacturing the weapons. You might be thinking of Heckler & Koch

  • @volostheguardian

Bud you're missing the details. That comment was written A YEAR AGO.

It was directed at a person who thoughtlessly said that this was a copy of the HK416. My comment was aimed at telling him that it's an American design in the first place and that they're all copies. I've already said that once before, please read the comments around it.

  • @LaRueDeeko Yes designed at the behest of the US government. To help improve certain acclaimed weakness of the short barrel M4 under certain conditions. Basically it's still a M16 variant like all the rest.

  • @ylism

Um yes, we all know they descend from the M16. I have a huge string of comments on this video saying so, but people keep commenting on them for input after just reading one....and the context is lost

  • @LaRueDeeko an american design

  • @Louisthefish23

................ok seriously.................... Now you're just playing around.

There is a STRING of comments, that is OLD OLD OLD. If you read them all first, you will have nothing to say.

  • @LaRueDeeko yeah you gotta love it, HK pretty much copies our rifle and sells it back to us, and our government officials, assholes that they are, buy it.

  • whats the song! lol. its weird

  • Rammstein - Du hast

  • alrite.

  • Rammstein FTW!

  • good design. I think it would do quite well.

How reliable is that drum magazine?

  • "No Germans were harmed in the filming of this video."

    Take that, HK! XD

But, on a serious note, does an AR-based automatic rifle provide an adequate level of firepower to replace the M249? True, the automatic rifleman wouldn't stand out to enemy snipers like they do today with the SAW and its variants, but I'm concerned the squad won't have the suppressive capabilities that they need.

This isn't the first time the services tried out an AR-based squad automatic weapon.

  • I need one!

  • PS: regarding the open bolt - this would be a combat situation, where most guns would be open-bolting constantly. Yes there is a small chance of debris flying in, but the bolt can be closed with the paddle in non-serious situations.

  • The video shows several different piston driven guns from LWRC. The IAR is indeed a potential replacement for the SAW. It features open-bolt firing on AUTO only, and maintains closed bolt firing for semi-auto. A heavier, rib-vented barrel, and other reinforcements. It weights in at under half of a current SAW. Because it has a closed-bolt semi automatic system - it allows accurate first-shot firing, and maintain full-auto open bolt properties to reduce ammunition cookoff.

  • DOO doo Host doo host messsh XD

  • its du hast du hast du hast mich not doo doo host doo host messsh and the is called Du hast by rammstein and in english its you have okay .

  • ........wow thanks your sooo helpful..

  • LOL your welcome.

  • Very very smart design. Accurate semi auto fire, no cook offs with full auto. Only concern here--would having the bolt open open it up to a world of dirt/dust? Or is that what the dust cover is for?

Great company--looking forward to picking up an LWRC.

  • open bolt m4 would be totally pointless.... especially automatic.. thats why the military has machine guns not auto m4 variants. You can kill more efficiently with a semi m4.

  • Why does it hold the bolt back on auto?

  • The open bolt concept is used to help keep the weapon cool during full auto fire. especially usfull for weapons meant to fire a high volumn of ammo. Cooler internal parts means a longer life span and a longer time between failures.

  • Do want.

  • ah i see. much abliged although i could see some operating malfunctions such as sandstorm conditions seriously compromising bolt action. accuracy i could see failing as well seeing as how it would take that split second for the bolt to come forward and fire although how much that matters in full auto i dont know.

  • well the sand isnt gonna affect this Weapon as Much as Some, Its closed bolt, and Seeing as its based on the M16 familyy, It should be near as reliable as some of them! lol

  • what are the advantages of an automatic open bolt as opposed to the standard? just curious. and the problem with tighter gun control is that no matter how much you control them, criminals arent going to regard the restrictions to get their hands on a weapon even in the event of a total ban on firearms. and as far as bans go, look how well thats worked out for those with which a ban was imposed, criminals know that if you cant own a weapon you're that much easier to be victimized. molon labe!

  • open bolt operation is cooler but less accurate.

  • open bolt keeps the bolt off a bullet until ready to fire, making sure that if the bolt got hot enough on full auto, one wouldn't have to worry about a round cooking off in the chamber. and it wont make any difference on accuracy, because the bolt is making the same motion as it would on a normal rifle, and even if it were to degrade accuracy (which it doesn't) yo could just flip it to semi for the more accurate shots.

  • Interesting song choice. Du Hast Mich? (You hate me) for loving my freedom?

  • Hast can also mean have, it's always been unclear as to the original meaning they used, but if the latter, it would mean, you have me, reffering to the LWRC rifle. one could then draw a line to how it will never leave you, meaning jam or what not, so this weapon will always be by your side never jamming and always work. just my perspective. doesn't mean it's right.

  • As best as I've learned (from many years ago) it was a mistranslation of the word Haßt... ß having a double S sound... Haßt or Hasst would mean Hate in the song hate applies much better than have... Not that it really matters just thought I'd throw that out there =)

  • Yup, Hast is german for Hate

  • How about - "Have"

  • It is a shame that This sweet Lw rifle video became a posting for retarded liberals to talk about there anti gun agenda. Most of you, prob. never did the duty to your homeland and your fellow citizen and served in the Armed Forces...Get real you pussies.

  • To all you gun haters, your fucking stupid. regardles of banning guns or not "bad people" still fucking get them. So, all your doing is taking away your right to defend yourself, but making it easier for them to take anything they want from you. So go ahead and support it. Ill bet youll fucking regret it.

  • just curious...

isn't there anything better to do with your lives when you're relatively poor, uneducated, male, and white than using guns as important or "impotent" psychological clutches to get through your lives?

i ask only because the cost of your gun culture is something that all of us, gun owners and non-gun owners, must bear with lives lost, higher taxes, etc....

there really is no practical reason to bitterly oppose any types of tighter gun control laws. no one wants a total ban.

  • The short answer to your question is that your an idiot.

  • The long answer is you are not just an idiot. But also a fool Liberal.

Now go find a dark quite place where you can hold your breath. "FOREVER"!!!!!!!

  • Because only police have access to firearms, and the government has NEVER abused its power in the past, correct? There are plenty of educated firearms owners out there, you're describing hillbillies, not the average owner...

What do you mean higher taxes? For SBRs and automatics gun owners pay a separate tax.

In your OPINION there is no reason to oppose tighter gun restrictions, but we all disagree with you so that doesn't matter much.

  • You know some of us find the term "hillbilly" just as offensive as other find the "N-word". Try not to define people by labeling them. BTW there are more highly decorated "hillbillies" than any other group.

I guess you expected me to remark that you have a purdy mouth.

    Capt. Jas

  • If you are smart enough to write that post, you are not a hillbilly... It's a state of mind, not a geographical location.

  • M249 looks cooler

  • Yeah and its all about looks when it comes to guns....

  • dude i cant wait till the iar comes out it lookes kick ass

  • sadly the usa civilian public will never own it :(

    .gov failure :(

  • yeah civilians shouldn't own pesticide either, the wrong people might get it and poison people.

and civilians shouldn't own fertilizer either, the wrong people might get it and make a bomb out of it.

and civilians shouldn't own cars, the wrong people might get them and run people over.

    LETS JUST BAN EVERYTHING THEN!

SO WE CAN BE SAFE FROM BAD PEOPLE!

  • so because you don't see the sense in owning something it should be illegal then? Do you see where I'm going with this? There is no reason the government needs to "protect us from ourselves" in this manner....

  • they better have something to hold more than 30rds. the saw can hold 100 to 200rds so this should be able to as well right guys???

  • They can use 100rnd C-Mags on that, i admitt i love the M249SAW w/ its 200rnd capacity but this looks something entirly different.

  • that is f-ing awesome ive never seen those before, if the mags can hold up under combat stress then the weapon would be almost prefect.

  • A very nice awesome looking AR but why open bolt on full auto???? it can get filled with sand & dust, but i guess there is some explanaition for that cos i don't think they made it that way for the weapon to get more jammed. Can someone help me out here?

  • The mil spec is open bolt on full auto for the light machine gun role - for cooling. This gun was designed to replace the FN SAW which fires with an open bolt. Note that it is closed bolt on semi which is required for first shot accuracy.

  • tnkx for the info m8.

  • the open bolt design is to help with cook offs. with an open bolt there is no round sitting in the chamber to cook off. not to mention it helps cool the chamber between firing.

  • Open bolt generally means less temperature buildup.

  • yeah they told ma that already but can more sand go into the open bolt causing jams? but i think thet, they found a way that althaugh has the open bolt on full auto i don't think they'r stupid enough to make that for the gun to jam more than the M-16, i'v seena vid about it its an incredible assault rifle its awesome, shoots & reloads underwater, good accuracy as always, no heating bolt & piston rod & less heating barrell so i'll take off my hat for this weapon LWRC

  • Yeah,Piston guns are nice.

  • Generally.

  • Open bolt?

  • Awesome innovation in a timeless weapon. However, it just seems too much like the M4 to be worth it. The only way I see the IAR being worth it, if EVERY Squad Gunner was using larger magazines.

  • this weapon just dont have the machine gun feel to it i dont like it :(

  • i dont like that the bolt stays open when the gun is in full auto...even though the dirty gas from the round is released from atop the barrel, with an open bolt you could get all kinds of things inside of it its just IMO

  • they shud not have put semi-auto, its supposed to be a squad suppot weapon, not squad assault rifle

  • It's a requirement that is dictated by the USMC RFP. They want the flexibility to be able to provide accurate rifle fire with the same weapon that canbe used for immediate suppression.

  • I never noticed this:

On semi auto, there's this white/silver metal thing closes after each shot.

On Full auto, it stays open after each bullet. It even closes when switching to semi auto. that's something i didn't know about the AR-15 rifle family.

    Interesting.

  • its called open bolt operation. it allows for higher rat of fire due to better heat dissipation.

  • yea, i just noticed that also xD

  • no, it fires from closed bolt on semi auto

    exclusive to this gun

  • woow, orage, (18 whell of steel haulin)

    sure, im hacker processeur

  • lol i wasnt expecting rammstein to play!! =] my favorite band

  • I have a question about these gas piston systems.

Does the gas piston increase the felt recoil of the rifle?

  • it dont ,it make the bullet more acurated

  • No, it doesn't affect accuracy. On the m4/m16 rifles, the gas travels back the gas tube and pushes the bolt back to reload - this gas fouls up the bolt and chamber, and that can lead to jams. On a weapon intended to be used on full auto, it would be very bad. So instead on this weapon the gas pushes on a piston running through the tube, which in turn pushes the bolt back.

  • Yes. The recoil impulse is a bit stronger although it is straight back and does not increase muzzle rise at all. FWIW, I bought a 10.5-inch upper last February through which I have shot almost 6,000 rounds.

  • the iar, fires from a standard stanag (m16) magazine, or any variant of it, including the c-mag double drum, which is actually what the marines asked for, so it's mag well and locks are probably reinforced to take the weight of a hundred round mags. it's rate of fire is 750rpm firing from open bolt, and it's semi auto is closed bolt, it is currentl available 5.56mmX45 rounds, with future upscaling to 7.62X39, 5.45mm, and 6.8 spc, and probably if they catch on, the 6.5 grendel

  • finaly some one know some thing thats right

  • Haha Rammstein! Does anybody know what caliber it uses and if it uses anything besides a 30-rd magazine?
