It was made in a time were people just didn't get offended by anything and weren't worried about adult themes happening as it's all just a bit of fun. Where as now people think it's real. God help us.
Hey, CLAY you don't get it! The film shows that cartoons have a 'real' life...like we do! If you wanna sell a film you have to 'suspend' belief...or your dead! Period!! And that 'tired' idea that cartoons are just for children, but ignores that fact that cartoons are made by adults.Look at ren & stimpy, spongebob, cow and chicken, etc. alot of these cartoons have adult content 'slipped' into them. And besides all this talk....the movies are a 'business'!!
I find it interesting how the movie 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', with all its famous cartoon characters, contained adult themes like murder, adultery, drinking and blackmail.
I loved this movie as a kid, but now I look back and realize that Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny were in the SAME MOVIE where a guy was shot in the back and another was flattened with a steam roller. And who could forget that sweet, innocent cartoon shoe who was murdered in "The Dip"? <:-(
Yep, and I use to watch this over and over again as a kid. You never notice these things as kids, you just want to see the funny cartoon characters and the slapstick humor their known for along with some epic action scenes. Then you go back as an adult and can actually appreciate the stuff you couldn't understand as a kid. That's what's great about movies like this, stuff for parents and children.
@ClaylandStudios uhhhhhhh, they had 2 of them. so one missing wouldn't be the end of the world, but yeah that's sad, and Chistopher Lloyd looks creepy with Cartoon eyes.
