An eye opener of the beauty and uniqueness of Philippine marine life was experienced by me on my first major dive trip to the country in 2005. This was after I have gone to other better known places like Palau and Tahiti which obviously have their own merits. With this eye opener, I can honestly say Philippine diving ranks up there as a world-class dstinations. Since then, I go back to the islands up to 3 times a year
There are more than a thousand and one things that Batanguenos can be proud of....one of which has been discovered.... our remarkably rich in biodiversity, from coral reefs in verde island to Mt. Batulao, Makiling, Malarayat forests and Taal lakes... something that we are very proud of .
Beautiful Philippines... unfortunately, illegal logging and illegal fishing are destroying these riches of nature. If the Philippine government continues to sleep through these threats, the country will lose its natural riches and beautiful natural environment.
