I thought it was pretty good, although Dante gaining his scythe a different way kind of took away the specialness of it. :( I'd give it an 8/10. It was a good animated movie and deserves respect, but had enough things for a hardcore movie criticizer to hate.

Oh my god, this movie scared me actually. I'm a huge horror film fan and somehow, just the mere fact of hell disturbs me. This movie somehow illustrated it better than any other one I've seen. It was kinda creepy. Lol.

@panadesu - i feel like this movie/game has whatever you want it to have. if you're looking for a religious message you can get one out of it, but if you're just looking for a hack'n'slash you can get that out of it too. i think this because, from EITHER a religious or secular point of view, most (if not all) of the story line, is FICTIONAL. even for a religious person most of this stuff can't happen, and that considered, i feel either party getting worked up over this movie/game is stupid.
