Hallo, benutze immer API TC Zweitaktöl 1:100 (1%) im Benzin damit der alte Motor auch mit dem heutigen aggressiven Benzin keinen Schaden nimmt...mit 1% igem Zweitaktgemisch korrodiert nämlich auch Tank, Benzinpumpe, Vergaser / Einspritzg. und Leitungen nicht mehr...auch die Ventile werden hervorragend geschmiert--Bleiersatz wird unnötig..die Kolbenringe bekommen ne bessere Schmierung und der Brennraum wird wie blank entrußt durch das heutige sehr stark reinigende Zweitaktöl.

I also have a 300SE with manual transmission, dark grey. I admit that both the 280SE and 300SE are sluggish and feel heavy. If you want a smoother and faster ride you should buy any V8 model, like the 380SE for example. Anyway, the 500SE is the best option.
Pretty beautiful car. The 280S W126 is awesome, to ride 3.000.000 kms with no problems. Congrats!
