Bowie really is an idol; for all he's an idol for all borderline personalitys out there: he shows, that you can handle it over the years. The way he's been able to make relations with other people, the way he's able now to look into the mirror without make up or a different character is really a kind of hope for me that I can also find myself one day and decide to like me just as he did! He really had a long way to go to be free, but it's so nice to see that he is today! He's still in my heart..

Wow, that last quote is amazing! David comes across as goofy and shallow a lot of the time, he has a great sense of humour and isn't serious very often, but when he is... he gives us gems like that.

The man is brilliant in every way. He's had a lot of trouble in his past, but he's come out of it and has hit his stride professionally and personally, at an age when most people descend into tiredness or bitterness. Gotta respect that

Goofy I get, but shallow? Definitely not. He is exceptionally funny, and I think he could have been a great comedian. But he is also very shy and I think that is the reason that he often fools around a bit to avoid questions that he feels are too close for comfort.
