  • I suppose we could all live in cardboard boxes under the arches.

  • I feel like I've heard the tune from 0:20 to 0:33 but I can't put my finger on it. Can someone help me out?

  • @Zoujen It's used in Agenda Suicide by The Faint... I think.x

  • @Zoujen The first thing that came to mind for me was No Submission by Static - X. It doesn't sound like something else though.

  • @blargh98315 Haha well I do listen to Static-X, but it sounds like something used in another The Faint song. Maybe I'm getting confused and it's really this one. I thought they reused the tune but I haven't found it yet

  • this was on SkateBoarding winter 2001!!

haha I though of this song just now and tried to find it! BADASS!

  • Que video, que rola, no mames, la esclavitud disfrazada del capitalismo!

    Larga vida a The Faint!

  • i couldn't agree more with the use of granny smith in toffee apples.

however, i prefer additional crushed pecans.

  • video like royksopp- remind me ....right?

  • @ykycuful This was made before Royksopp's video ;)

  • hipsters before hipsters

  • like the video

  • This is one awesome song

  • found it on a skate vid

  • @chavsrshite was it on skateboarding winter 2002?? cause thats how i found it

  • I used to skate to this song back in high school. Such an awesome album.

  • This video reminds me so much of Habbo o.o

  • @JuicedEnergy lol i feel ya

  • i <3 my boiz!

  • a drum and bass remix would be tight

  • same

  • crappy vocalist. Really fukken good besides that. I love the use of distortion and the music video is well made and thought out.

  • haha i found this song in afterbang.. snowboard video lol ^_^

  • thanks for the intro pastrana.

  • this song reminds me of a sega genesis game in the beginning

  • I'm pretty sure this video came out first.

  • I would say the style is similar, but the mood is totally different.

  • Comment removed

  • @fuzzywzhe Not really, no. Rokysopp took a very different approach, it was more of an animated stream of data. This video, rather, is more oriented towards providing a narrative, and includes highly edited live-action footage, something that would be horribly out of place in Remind Me's video.

  • What a great song...haha...i don't even listnen to stuffffffffffff

  • heard this song on nitro circus. the break down that starts at 1.26 is epic!!!!

  • What an amazing song

  • Like a caste shadow

    Like a father's dream

    How it got outside..

    Was the worst disease

  • It's:

Like a cast shadow / like a father's dream / have a cut out son / what's a worst disease / to get that pretty little home.

  • The drones work hard before they die

  • reminds me of fightclub, The things you own, own you.

  • or the greatness of infest era Papa Roach

    omgomgomg ftw

  • 1:25 I was wondering if they got the TROGDORE theme song from. and now i know.

  • Don't know about you but ive thought of jumping into train before lol.

  • Had this on CD years ago, never watched the video. Great stuff. Can't beat this tune

  • this is why life sucks

  • im not really into this kind of music but this is a pretty cool video.

  • Yeah,They banned this song from mtv, Kinda like prodigy's "smack your bitch up",lol

  • whhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

  • Listen to what it is speaking of, It is speaking of breaking out of the mundane, and getting out of the everyday routine. It shows people jumping into the subway, lol

  • smack your bitch up had blind voilance, drugs and porn in it, this one had drugs and well mass suicide:P

  • Cartoons such as Tom&Jerry are a lot more violent than that video! and it's lyrics aren't so terrible, I've seen worse in musics!

  • yeah but they're both really different stylistically. royksopp's video seems more analytical with a routine. the faints is more depressing and soul crushing with their version of routine. both videos represent the bands very well

  • agreed

  • I love the Faint. What an incredibly unique take on electronic music.

  • @inLoveWithTheMoon88

sure, it's an incredibly unique take on electronic music if you don't count kmfdm, nin, nitzer ebb... etc.

granted, the faint's pretty incredible on their own. it's just nothing new.

  • @notpip

Yeah, I can see your point. However, in my opinion, there is a difference in how it is approached. There is something about the Faint that makes an old formula seem new and exciting again.

I do know what you mean, though.

  • Damn that was a crazy vid. Good hit guys!!

  • Now THIS is a music video...

  • first saw this in a skate tape it was sick

  • Yeah dude me too, but do you remember which video and who skated to it?

  • Afterbang by Robot Food

  • what jolly good fun. tip top stuff

  • siick song (Y)

  • Why does youtube always have the worst comments

  • @jwest10731 Because its the cultural melting pot of the internet.

  • @jwest10731 because the general education level is being subtaly lowered....

  • @jwest10731 i agree entirely i mean u get better comments on pornhub.....

  • "Reminds me of the music video for "Remind Me" by Royksopp. "

    Yep, same.

  • u r right

reminds me of "remind me" too

    :)

  • You could scoop out some grey matter...sling it up aginst the wall..and hey...you got some cool art work...drip drip goes the tap in the night.............

  • Reminds me of the music video for "Remind Me" by Royksopp.

  • I think you call them keyboard gangsters!Alot of hypocrites on Youtube as well...one KG aginst another KG..hey i might be doing it as well....crazy man crazy.

  • woot they're coming back to FL, Langeradoo!!!:D

  • i just saw them live last night in ft. Lauderdale. They were amazing!

  • wow, i just had an apifany watching this vid

  • I'm guessing your epiphany didn't involve reading a dictionary.

  • Hey asswipe, why don't you read both definitions of the word "epiphany" before you post a stupid ass comment, the second definition:

A sudden manifestation of the essence or meaning of something. A comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization:

btw, i misspelled apifany on purpose

    go fuck yourself

  • I love you, too.

  • ^^^I love this guy ^^^

  • Hahahah, I just think it's funny that with all the important things that you COULD be doing, you choose something as wonderful as telling someone who made a funny, joking comment about your spelling to go fuck himself! I'll bet you're such a hard ass! :D

  • What? I don't even know why I'm arguing with you. The Faint are so good, their music is so good it could bring world peace if it wanted. It should bring people to together! If I give you my address, maybe you can just come over and join my tea party that I'm having with all my homosexual friends where we watch chick-flicks and gossip! Okay, it's, like, settled! ;D

  • i reckon you just wounded him..... maybe now he can go fuck himself with something hard and sandpapery... shame his only comebacks end in ass... faceass, jackass.... whats next... penisass? assass? XD

  • Spelled it wrong on purpose? haha.

  • Hey faceass, was I talking to you? thanks for including yourself between other peoples comments. you're cool buddy, you're fucking cool for posting a comment on something I said last month, bravo, someone give this fucking person a cookie

  • Like people are actually afraid of you! I don't know if you noticed, but you pretty much just sound like a dumbass... You might as well stop trying

  • Toffee Apples are better than normal ones although i suggest granny smith !

  • reminds me of the vid for the royksopp song "remind me" (no repetition implied)

  • Same here

  • The animation and song every thing is cool.

    Thank you.

  • Cool

  • freaking awesome video

  • It feels like someone injected my brain with paper mixed with perspective. I like it.

  • pleasure

  • love this song

  • wow

  • Dude, this is so sickk.

    It's totally right.

I like the whole elephant people things and how they are all dictating. It's a crazy way of putting it.

  • cool vid

  • Every DJ on Earth better grab a Faint CD. Especially "Wet From Birth"

  • GIRL!

  • So good. :)

  • he's trippin out

  • desperate guys is definetly the most catchy song out there

  • almost every song they make is hte most catchy out there..but my current TOP FAV is casual sex

  • Brilliant and beautiful. Captures the work/commute/zone-out mindfuck that civilized humans are addicted to and yearn to escape from. So many of us can't even imagine life any other way.

  • There is no freedom without dreams and imagination. If you live life working or not, nothing can take your imagination away from you, or sadly if you have non, nothing will give it to you. I think ( if anybody cares) this artwork is about a life in a world that have been imagined for you by someone else. Therefore its about freedom of your idea against someone who wants you to give it up and enslave yourself in his(or hers).

  • futile

  • love this shittin' song. they pulled together 'post-punk' influences in a very good way.

  • you think this is good....see them in person! craaazzzy!

  • wow. this is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

  • Woo-fucking-hoo! I love this goddamn song!

  • i dont realy know what to think of this song. i love all their other songs but i dont get why this is the most popular

  • I'ts popularity is partly due to the film AFTERBANG

  • This song is a commentary on the futility of our existence. That is, arguably, to live happily, one must first work to acquire material happiness, materials which will ultimately approximate happiness. Yet, when the happiness is acquired (pretty little homes), one has already wasted away an unhappy life.

Basically, we work to gain something we cannot appreciate because we work.

We are fucked if we do. We are fucked if we don't.

  • I agree with some of what you say but its not necessarily about the futility of our existence as it is about the futility of work defining our existence. You work work work for that pretty little house, which obviously does not appease you. As the person is looking back on his life he does not want to regret what he did - work for life. I feel that the song is explaining the importance of living your life now, living your dreams as opposed to slaving away towards something for the future...

  • Awesome definition. I couldn't aggree more, teddison.

    LIVE LIFE NOW!

  • yeap both definitions entail some truth yours is more optimistic but could pass for naïve at the least romantic

sordidimage implied something more realistic:unless you're rich, lucky or really skilled you're fucked if you don't slave away for life. Uno tiene que comé viteh?

  • The meaning of this video is that rat race sucks isn't it?

  • anyone know any groups like the faint???

  • The Rapture, Ratatat, !!! and Death From Above 1979 are similar.

  • yea ratatat is so sick thanks

  • I love Electro but i hate techno hehe.and the song is awesome

  • yeah, cause electro is techno with soul :-)

  • yea

  • trés bon clip

  • I LOVE! Hella catchy.

  • this song is awesome in teton gravity research's film lost and found. so sweet to see people shreddin' to this music.

  • the ending WOW

  • that was a great video. it could be a movie.

  • Seriously, COOL vid!

  • kool vid. like the song

    =]

  • good clip

  • i lovvvvve the videoooo

  • great video

  • this video is sorta like the book '1984', which i hated...but i love this song...O.o

  • i love that book, the torture scenes are so much fun, my whole class was screaming

  • I guess this video is like it in the sense that they both seem dystopian but 1984 is much more grim. The book is far better than the movie, but the movie is also really under rated.

  • their songs are on ssx they are so mad chill

  • i love the faint .......

  • this is way too similar to a dream i had on acid once. no joke.

  • far out!

  • I love this song and the video is excelent

  • 333>looc

  • whoa. trippy.

  • lmao.

  • I love this song!!! I guess is one of the best from The Faint...

  • Paranoiaattack is way awesome too.

  • I was shocked when they kicked Conor OPberst out but now I'm glad. His style is very different from theirs.

  • He was never really part of the faint but Norman Bailer, basically a completely different band...

  • 3d 2d! genius!

  • i like the song but the video is a copy of Royksopp - Remind Me

  • I could have sworn that remind me came out way after this song.

  • i LUV this neve heard it before

  • Btw, The Faint is f-ing awsome. Check out their album "Danse Macabre"

  • Awesome :)

  • it scare me... but is so amazing
