Some years ago here in Aust. we had a 351 mini van dragster that ran 10.35 every day. This thing should shit 8.5sec pass with if desent rubber used. Great work, excellent engineering, get some build pics up for all to see the mountain of work thats gone in to this animal.

LOL! Is that the Italian alter ego "The American Job"? I would personally have opted for a smaller engine, like a 2 liter, 300 BHP Cosworth engine (as used in some Ford models). But this über-cool set-up cant be beaten image-wise...! Great work, guys!

Funny you say that.. This car used to actually have a 2-litre Red Top Vauxhall powered mini with throttle bodies and nitrous, running over 300bhp and 12 second quarters. That was like 10 years+ ago.. times and enthusiasm has moved up a notch since then ;o)

I think you will find it is, short rods and bored out. Its 434ci ;o) Trust me i know a big block from a small.

In reality it's not that tight a fit,I know you have done alot of work to the innerwings etc,spaceframed etc,but some modern cars are even more crammed than that engine bay!!

lol, um look at the video, maybe if you noticed that the transmission was facing frontward and the engine wasn't sideways, then you might know that it isn't front wheel drive there buddy

i assumed (and it was an educated guess... i know a reasonable amount about how cars work) that there wouldn't be room for a driveshaft and rear diff, and after hearing many people's problems about the rear wheels feeling light in similar setups, i thought this guy would go for the front option.

if i was wrong, i bow to your quick eye for these things.

and it's a great car. i love the idea.

Just to confirm it is REAR WHEEL DRIVE and the traction is a little bit of an issue lol!! The Diff is just over a foot long.
