So I had a good experience. The only thing I felt after was amazing relief, and I still feel that way. If a girl chooses to go through with it when shes unsure or being pushed into it after being given all the options and info then of course she could regret it, thats something she'll have to deal with. She sat there and said she was sure and wasnt being pushed when she was, so I guess takes a stupid mistake. But I was very sure and Im happy with my choice.
I had my abortion at Family planning. I got there, went to the desk, sat in the waiting room for a few minutes with my partner, then the counciler/nurse called me in and she explained everything very clearly, explained all my options and that I could change my mind and theyd help me get financial help if needed to raise the baby or help with adoption services. Made sure I wasnt being pushed into it and that I was 100% sure and that I could postpone it if I wasnt sure or could cancel.
just saying if you dont want to have a child then dont have sex when you know you cant afford it or your not ready. its kinda like you dont play Russian roullette because you know that there is a chance that you wont die but theres always the chance that you will die its like having sex when your not ready for a child theres a chance that you may get pregnant and a chance you wont get pregnant.
@BIGPAPAREID Not that you shouldn't have sex, you should just use protection. If, however, you fail to do that and cannot take care of it, just don't ruin a potential life and your own.
@offwithurhead As you would've heard in the vid if you watched it, protection isn't 100% safe. Accidents will happen. Your own rights do not cease, as the fetus is -not- a person untill 20 or so days by scientific proof. So withoin that reason, safe abortion even with people like you screaming those rights.
@OpticalArxenal I know it isn't. Just like crossing the street at the green light, does that mean you shouldn't do that cause you don't want to get run over?
All I'm saying is sex is a good thing and just like any other animal we have those needs. in the modern world people can't give birth too often because, unlike in the wild, we don't just die from a cold or get eaten by stronger animals on a regular basis. Lucky for us, scientists have invented contraception so we can at least be safer.(c)
@offwithurhead If that fails, there's morning after pills and it's possible to abort your pregnancy at a reasonable time. I am pro-choice yet I'm not pro-abortion, I think a woman has the right to choose but people should avoid getting into that situation. However, I don't judge.
@OpticalArxenal a lot of forms are nearly 100% successful. if you're having sex and can't afford (emotionally, financially) to have a baby at the moment, so much so that abortion would be an option for you, then be sure to use at least TWO forms of effective birth control every time. not to mention educating yourself on how to use them properly and make them as efficient as they can be. "you" being in general, of course.
pro choice isnt just about morals its about the fact that if we made it illegal women would be having illegal abortions through unsanitary means that could kill the mother instead of it being legal and having it in a sterile medical facility. not only that but some mothers cant afford pregnancy care and a lot have substance problems etc even if they were to adopt the child out it may be born unhealthy. it may not be moral but its necessary sometimes.
@lbellexox exactly. my sister who has been addicted to crack, meth and oxycontin had two children who are both mentally and physically handicapped. nobody wants to adopt them because they're crack babies. she should've aborted. point made.
Pro-choicers are such hypocrites sometimes, some not all. They say that they're for the choice of the woman and all of that wonderful crap, but when the girl is pressured into getting the abortion they say nothing. But then when a pro-lifer goes and says that abortion is wrong or consider another option, then we're in the wrong. I really don't see why pressuring a girl into abortion is okay but telling them to consider other options is so wrong and messed up.
My mother struggled as well while I was a little kid and my father wasn't existent in my life, but I still wouldn't go have my baby torn apart or dissolved by chemicals or given the same death treatment as a murderer.
So ridiculous how some people believe that a fetus isn't human. Didn't we all start out as fetuses? I was once one and so were you. Giving life is a gift. But skanks who can't keep their legs closed from CONSENTUAL sex give life no meaning. Anyone who has consentual sex should always be prepared to face consequences should they arise. Things happen yes. BIRTH CONTROL is availabe for us all! So to all the sluts that think a fetus has no right to live: YOU WERE ONCE A FETUS TOO.
@keishamania sometimes birth control fails, even when using more than one method. did you know that the IUD causes a woman to get pregnant and miscarry every month? eff off.
This is ridiculous! This has absolutely nothing to do with strangers and everything to do with an individual person's right! A child born to an unprepared mother or family will not have the quality of life that a child who is born to a family that wants it!
So sad that these young girls didn't have the support to at least give birth to their children and place them for adoption. Doesn't look to me like they had a choice at all.
Ok well if adoption isn't the right thing then maybe being an adult and shutting your fucking legs is!!! The only people I think have the right to abortion are rape victims the rest if you are sad pieces if shit and should have kept your legs closed. You brought it upon yourself, don't bring it out in the baby. You all make me sick!
@cheerhorse0240 I could not agree with you more.. This people think they can party and open their legs to anyone and not suffer the consequences meanwhile millions of women are dying to have babies and are not able to!
@Kagicali says: open their legs to anyone and not suffer the consequences
~~~~~~~~~~~
OH, so YOU want them to "SUFFER" the consequences of having an unwanted child..hahahaha, thats the way to punish the woman. make the child be hated..Ahhhh, probirthers are so frickin loving...lol
i don't consider a fetus to be a human. it is called a fetus for a reason, because it isn't a fully formed human yet. until it has seen daylight, breathed air, and come out of the womb, it is still just a fetus .
@makemebleede plus the world is so overpopulated that it's probably for the better. adoption? don't give me this shit about adoption. there are too many orphans in the world as it is.....children that never do get adopted, children with problems that stem from the mother not wanting to be pregnant. doing drugs, drinking, creating a damaged child that sucks the economy dry.
@makemebleede Ok so your solution to too many orphans is killing them? Although there are many overpopulated areas on Earth, there are still many large areas where no one is living. Trust me there isn't such a huge lack of space, that we need to go killing people! Even if there were no space left on Earth, there would be other solutions than just killing babies until we all have room.
@crazyability fetus: "an unborn offspring of a mammal, in particular an unborn human baby more than eight weeks after conception." no one is debating that a fetus is alive, but no, fetuses don't breathe. they get their oxygen from the mother. how is it supposed to breathe in the womb?
@makemebleede So if it's not human, then what is it? a dog, cat, fish ? A fetus is indeed a human, just one that hasn't been born yet. (Hope your parents are not paying for your education, they're getting ripped off ! )
Ya'll.. Abortion may not be the best decision, but it's one that was made for their own life.. I don't LIKE abortion, and I am not a proactive supporter of it. But you can't expect everyone to have the same mindset. I can understand why people would do it, like under circumstances of rape and such things like that. And maybe even underage.. But all in all, it is still someone else's choice..
@MsVictoria4ever ..that's nice and all, but is the rarity these days.
Why not just let women analyze their own lives and strnegths, and act on their better knowledge, rather than trying to influence or manipulate them into doing what YOU want them to do?
I aborted and don't regret it one bit. I'm happy for my choice, and I benefitted from it- and so does my husband, and my REAL child, born last march. I'm pregnant again, and keeping it again.
@ryddelwearsahat You benefited from it? From taking the life of a child? just because that baby wasnt CONVENIENT for you..? So killing is okay when it is conventient for you.
@SnowFire337 says: The child. Give the baby up for adoption.
~~~~~~~~~~
"THE" baby? You wnat adoptions instead of abortions, that will NOT be "THE" baby, it could be, in the US alone, one MILLION babies each yr! Are you expecting one million babies to be throw away each yr for someone else to "deal" with? That could be 80 MILLION kids in your lifetime! Can you fathom the insanity for the kids?
44% of adopted males will be imprisoned, compared to 1% of the gen. public. 53 % of adults that were adopted are unemployed. 45% reported living on food stamps,Prevalence of PTSDamong Vietnam veterans: 15% - Prevalence of adopted kids w/ PTSD 25%.. 55% experience homelessness .Adoption is a psychological burden to the adoptee. DOnt hurt the kids.
@SnowFire337 I love how people don't think adoption is difficult - sure, just give away your full term newborn. So much easier than terminating a six-cell ball without a heartbeat. The problem with adoption is not the discomfort; it's often more emotionally traumatising than abortion.
@BobJoeIsSex96 Most people dont even KNOW they are pregnant till long after the baby's heart has started beating. And if it is so hard to get rid of because you are so attatched, why would you want to kill it in the first place? Inconvenience?
@BobJoeIsSex96 I understand that adoption is a difficult (and can be an expensive process), however instead of fighting to continue abortion - people could be fighting to make the adoption process easier.
@SnowFire337 It wasn't about convenience, it was about staying alive.. By the way- the enxt time you talk about 'convenience' consider this-
RAPE doesn't KILL, yet rape vics are morally/legally allowed to KILL that attacker or even that would-be attacker, to prevent a rape..b/c even though it doesn't kill you, it's just such an 'inconvenience' we can allow lethal force against a thinking, feeling person.
A fetus can't think or feel, and it can't be adopted.
You can be forgiven of the decision that you made. Moreover, you should ask God for eternal forgiveness through applying the death and resurrection of Jesus to your life of sin within the quietness of your bedroom tonight. As an unrepentant sinner myself, I made this decision around 15 years ago. This is the most important decision that you could ever make. - Romans 10:9-10
pro-lifes need to shut up and leave these women alone. a stranger, your neighbour, sister, friend etc. having an abortion does not affect your quality of life, so let it go.
@makemebleede But it affects the quality of life of that baby. Tell me, at what time is a human usually considered dead? Heart stops beating. That is typically when a human is considered dead. At what point does the baby's heart starts beating?
@makemebleede i dont think they are protesting because it affects their quality of life. They are well aware of that. But it hurts hearts around the world that it is legal to kill an unborn baby, and people who care about these babies who dont have a choice are trying their best and taking time out of their lives to spread the word that its wrong to kill a human.
@makemebleede Uh, that's kind of the point, pro-life people care about the mothers, not just the babies. A lot of pro-life people have had abortions and simply want to spare others the pain they have experienced.
no human has a right to life or any due process rights by the 14th amendment to use another human's body or body parts AGAINST their will, civil and constitutional rights: that's why u r not force to donate your kidney---the human fetus is no exception; this is protected by the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment that makes reproductive slavery unconstitutional.
consensual sex =/= a legal, binding contract for an unwanted fetus to live.
I hate it when women say ther enot ready for a babay .Ok why are you not ready and how can i help you get ready !.if your not ready do not open your legs and let a man penetrate you then simple as !
Billions of people have sex everyday with NO pregnancies, and here YOU are, thinking it should stop...just in case?? Thats not a fear of pregagncy, thats a fear of human sexuality. Get some help for your sexual hang-ups.
If it weren't because of the stigma few people would be traumatized emotionally after their abortions - it's not the abortion that causes it, it's people's unjustified reactions.
for the first 1.22 min into this video this girl really impressed me and i couldn't agree any more with what she had to say, if everyone thought and acted like her this world would be a lot better, I AM AGAINST WOMENS RIGHTS IF..... She wants to kill a baby inside of her, the child has a right to LIVE and all you people who say its cells and not human your sick and need some soul searching bigtime you should be ashamed
Imagine if your mother aborted you! You wouldn't be alive today reading this. It makes me wince every time i think about never being born if my mother chose to abort me for the sake of "convenience" or whatever excuse the next pro-choicer uses. Whether the fetus is a life or not, that baby will never be born if it is aborted.
@ryddelwearsahat the 9 months out, and live the rest of your life, thrilled to have survived cancer.
Abortion clinics view the unborn as parasitic lumps of cells growing inside women like cancer. The "cure" for Pregnancy, is time. 9 months after being told that she's pregnant, a women can have signed the adoption papers, and never have to deal with that child again.
The general public gives more value to an algae, than the child who could grow up to cure cancer, or AIDS.
@ryddelwearsahat A lichen is a fungus and an algae living in symbiosis. Science considers the Algae and the fungus to be living organisms. If you take a syringe, and thrust it into the lichen, ripping out the algal cells, the fungus looses it's lichen state, and stays a living fungus, but the algae cannot survive in that environment, it is dependent on that lichen.
If you were told you have cancer, but you will be cured in 9 months, with a few weeks of rehabilitation afterword, you'd stick ...
@AlexofAtlantis Sorry, but 9 mos. is a long time- and it affects the woman's physical, emotional, mental, and social, financial, familial life- EVERY aspect of her life. To blow off what an unwanted, unplanned pregnancy can do to a woman then and LATER, is to dehumanize to the woman and deny her her rights, her feelings, her needs- to deny her her fucking SURVIVAL.
You just compared pregnancy to cancer by telling me to 'stick it out',
-c when you turn around and bitch about clinics comparing pregnancy to cancer?
Did you even read what you typed? Sorry, but the same fetus you project as the cure for cancer, will be just as likely, (if not statistically more so, given it's shitty chances if it's unwanted due to poverty or a lack of education/support, ect) to become the next Hitler.
Do you deny that cancer-surer could easily be Hitler just as welll? I don't deny it could cure cancer- I just don't base my -c
-c my health, future, sanity, and emotional health off of petty hopes, ideaologies, and hypocritical games...
..or WHAT-IFs..
An UNplanned, UNwanted, UNacceptable pregnancy is a completely different set of circumstances for the woman than a WANTED, accepted, even possibly unplanned pregnancy, for so many reasons.
Sorry, but until that algae or fungus is inside of me, affecting every aspect of my life and putting me at risk, it has nothing to do w/ this conversation. -c
-c Are you mentally handicapped? What does algae, or anything else besides an unwanted pregnancy and all it entails, have to DO w/ an unwanted pregnancy, and all that it entails?
WHY does your kind always try to compare pregnancy and the 'value' of an embryo/fetus to completely different, uncomparable subjects and circumstances?
It makes no sense and detracts from the value of what you have to say...
..which is that a potentiality is worth more than an actuality.
@ryddelwearsahat I was raped, and I miscarried, and even though I knew that having a baby was not something that I was ready for, I cried when I felt the baby die inside of me. I. felt. my. child. die. 9 mos is nothing. I've lived that time and time again. Yes, pregnancy affects every part of a womens life. Is the solution to deny another person their life? Is killing an infant that can feel the pain of being dismembered really the solution to a few months of turmoil? (Alex, as in Alexis)
@AlexofAtlantis No offense, but what in the hell does the miscarraige of a wanted, accepted pregnancy have to do w/ the abortion of of an unplanned, unwanted pregnancy that is not at ALL accepted?
No offense, but the two things have nothing in common with the other except for the loss of a potential life. Your feelings, your circumstances and your intentions are completely different.
I LAUGH at that argument- that abortion is painful to the fetus- because 90 percent of all -c
-c abortions are performed in the FIRST trimester of pregnancy where you eat a pill and pass a clot like a period. The argument against late-term abortion is pathetic and manipulative b/c late-term abortions are getting rarer and rarer, and are almost practically illegal aside from severe, purely medical cases... like if the fetus is anencephalic or the mom needs chemo.
Lastly, an embryo/fetus CAN'T be a person, b/c it lacks all the facilities for it.
@ryddelwearsahat to the second post of yours. 12 weeks. That's when my baby died. still first trimester, and it wasn't a clot. it was a tiny human, small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. and you tell me what constitutes the "facilities for (personhood)" please do. I would like to know your definition of what makes a human, a person. unborn children can feel pain at 8 weeks. (that's first trimester too)
@AlexofAtlantis 12 weeks=3 months. The abortion pill, the most commonly used form of abortion, doesn't go up to that amount of time. Point still stands- the mass majority are pill-form.
Actually, a fetus can't feel pain until 5 MONTHS- that's one of the pro'life' lies, you see, b/c certain NERVES begin developing at 8 weeks.. but the BRAIN, the part that does the thinking/feeling,e ct- isn't developed enough to process AND interpret AND respond to pain stimuli until 5 months. -c
-c What makes us PEOPLE is what is inside. If image was all that mattered then every picture, video, statues, ect of humankind would be a person. But that's not true- na embryo can't think, it has no memories to base opinions off of b/c it hasn't been born yet, let alone even be physically capable of consciousness which is the ABILITY to learn and form a self. It floats and grows, and occasionally twitches due to electrical or chemical impulse as nerve connections form. It's -c
-c also not even a separate, independent entity- it is part of the woman carrying it until born. It can't be removed or adopted or anything. It's a completely blank disc that also happens to be a work-in-progress- a potentiality. Even newborns and the mentally handicapped are completely different and can be classified as people, b/c of the independence and brain function.
Calling an embryo a person is an insult to everyone, including yourself. You're more complex than that.
@ryddelwearsahat at 8 weeks, 4,000 of the 4,500 structures (bones, organs, muscles and nerves) are present. Including the Thalamus, the part of the brain that processes pain. Fetal children shift off their mothers spines as she sleeps on her back, because they are uncomfortable. That requires a basic level of reaction. By your logic, the comatose aren't people, because they can't think? that's brutal.
@AlexofAtlantis Actually, the comatose can go one way or the other- it's a case-by-case thing. I suggest you do a little reading before clinging to that-
brainmind DAWT com FetalBrainDevelopment DAWT html
I have a love for books- especially medical books. I have a lot of education under my belt and continuously add to it- I have to, to keep up with the work that I do and to keep up with my passions, one of which just so happening to be the education of people on controversial-c
-c political subjects- people shouldn't govern other people's personal lives w/o knowing what it is they're talking about- wouldn't you agree?
Do some reading that isn't provided by religious or pro'life' organizations. Pro'life'rs are notorious for conveniently forgetting certain facts or twisting the context of certain things to suit their purposes... like that bullshit claim floating around that 'fetus' is latin for 'little one'? OFFSPRING or alternatively, 'to bring forth'.
@ryddelwearsahat you claim to be educating me, but you have insulted me dozens of times, in a condescending speech pattern. You have insulted my intelligence, my humanity and personhood, you've called me a hypocrite more times than I'll bother to count. I believe that you are projecting, because I am a self-assured, highly intelligent, competent woman who has tolerated your insulting behaviors enough for one night.
@AlexofAtlantis So sorry for being pissed when you take what i say the wrong way or accuse me of saying shit I never said or even hinted at. Sorry if it leaks through as the offense and urge to retaliate and insult you.
Sorry, but you HAVE contradicted yourself- and instead of even accepting or acknowledging that, you lash out at me. You're being defensive and getting worked up over it.
I'm not the one who contradicted myself twice in the same post.
@ryddelwearsahat you laugh at that? You think that a pregnancy that results from the RAPE of a VIRGIN is Wanted and Accepted? That pregnancy was unplanned, I didn't want to be raped, and your telling me that there is no similarities? Wow, you're thick. I was carrying that child to term because it was a child! No matter who his father was, no matter who his mother was, no matter the circumstances of conception, he had a constitutional RIGHT TO LIFE.
@AlexofAtlantis ...I'm not talking about the rape, you moron- I'm talking about the pregnancy that resulted. Are you telling me you were going to abort that rape-pregnancy, then?
If not, then you accepted it. If you mourned the loss of the pregnancy, then you obviously wanted it or you wouldn't have felt that way.
..a right at your personal expense?
You can't have it both ways, to NOT want and deny, yet still want and accept it.
-c that I'm saying you wanted to be raped or whatever- that is SO NOT what I meant. How did you even get that from what I said?
I don't know how much clearer I can be other than, if you didn't want and didn't accept it, you'd have no been troubled over the miscarriage, and you'd have gotten an abortion. Lol you're making me repeat myself..
It's not a child, it's a potential. It doesn't have rights that involve FORCING you, or anyone, to suffer for it even to survive.
@ryddelwearsahat you're strawmaning me. I didn't mourn the loss of the pregnancy, it made my life easier, I never had to let anyone know what happened, because there wasn't any reason for them to ask. and No, I was not going to kill a child to make my life easier. That does not change the fact that I felt my child die. A child died, I was sad, it's natural to mourn the loss of life. I can 'have it both ways' I mourned the child that died, and yet was relieved that the rape stayed forgotten.
@AlexofAtlantis ..so.. when you said you cried when you miscarried, it wasn't b/c of the miscarriage and the fact that the fetus died?
You're contradicting yourself BADLY- sorry to break it to you, but you are. You should seek counseling about it if you haven't already. There are TONS of people who can help you deal w/ it.
Either way, there's no comparison between a miscarraige and an abortion- the circumstances are completely different.
-c not you fidn it justifiable to kill a rapist to prevent/stop a rape.. b/c surely NOT getting raped makes life easier, eh?
If abortion cannot be justified for the sake of the woman's physical AND mental health, as well as her ability to provide for herself(education or employment) due to the insurmountable stress that comes from an unplanned, and UNWANTED pregnancy.. then self-defense killing against rape, burglary, carjacking, and assault are not justifiable either, so you-c
-c can go ahead and call those countless people out there, and probably even yourself if you are of the opinion that killing to prevent/stop a rape is justifiable, all selfish, b/c killing(not murder, two different things) to just 'make things easier' is wrong.
..which is something i find utterly confusing and contradictory, ESPECIALLY coming from a rape vic- and just so you know.. I counsel victims of domestic abuse OFTEN. That includes rape vics.
-c in denial of certain feelings, and also taking on unnecessary blame and self-depreciation to try to justify/avoid perfectly natural feelings and needs.. and that your self-confidence is misplaced or has been manipulated.
I think you really should seek counseling, and from somewhere that isn't religious, b/c those people strive to 'humble' others and glorify suffering as a 'gift' or our sworn duty..
@ryddelwearsahat I pity those who have such an unfeeling and callus counselor. Are you equating a baby to a murdering/assulting/carjacking/burgler? Just for being concieved? Conception is now a felony?
"Normal" and "easy" are fallacies that allow society to marginalize and dehumanize the different. You are trying to tell me that now that I've delt with my trauma, I need to go see a councilor who will tell me my confidence in myself is misplaced and manipulated?
@AlexofAtlantis Did I say conception was a crime, you hypersensitive and overly-defensive moron?
No. I don't dehumanize a god-damn thing. I never once said it wasn't human- so kindly don't LIE or argue against a point I never even made to begin with.
It's not nice to hear that you're acting mental, no-but with the way you contradict yourself, and with the way you are unable to understand what I'm saying and respond defensively against points never made shows you have a -c
-c problem both with coping with reality, your own emotions, and a problem with honesty, even with yourself.
It's not healthy to do things like that inside your head- it's not only just stupid and dishonest, but it increases stress levels, and increases depression or the risk of depression.
You take things out of context(seemingly accidentally thus far)and blow what I say out of proportion in weird ways that have no bearing in the conversation.. that's not normal.
You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!" [Psalm 139:16]
"He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death." Let's examine one simple implication of this statement. What this means is that God pre-planned every abortion that has taken place on our planet.
@FightsRightsAlways thanks, luckily we live in a culture, where everybody respects everybody elses opinion, oh wait, no we dont, what was I thinking?
@604maximus12 lol of course we don't.some of the same people that cry about acceptances, CAN'T/WON'T follow their own advice.if you want me to listen to what you say,then you have to be willing to do the same for me.if not,then don't be surprise when the same disrespect is pushed back in your face.
@604maximus12 cool.i just think that people need to think about what their really asking for.if you want respect,then you have to be wiling to give it right back.
@FightsRightsAlways Absolutely, but we arent born into a system of respect, we are born into a system, of control, and ritualistic abuse, We are told from birth who we are what to think, and what is and isnt real, what is moral and what isnt. and we wonder why that on a global scale we are all so incredibly screwed up.
@604maximus12 lol truth,so that's why i don't take ANYBODY seriously when they cry about their rights/respect but won't accept mine.the word acceptance means-the act of taking or receiving something offered,that means if you get up and holler about your rights&your beliefs then i will respect them,even if i don't agree with them.and trust,there's a lot of crap that i don't like but i respect it because that's someone else's opinion.so why would that be so hard to get that in return??
seriously,youtube needs to do something about the pointless bitch fights that go on.both bluedreamer and ryddelwearsahat are extremely pathetic.all they do,is toss back shitty insults&cry when the other gives it back.why can't people just accepted,that people are going to have different opinions from each other?bluedreamer,learn proper grammar and spelling,it will sever you well if you do.ryddelwaersahat,stop bitching,you're just as much of an ass,as she is.SO SHUT THE FUCK UP!!sigh*morons.
@bluedreamer5000 listen,you need to continue your cat fight with ryddelwearsahat,i'm saying what everyone is thinking.your both pathetic and it gets irritating as hell to hear people's constant whines over stupid shit.you both have different views,get that through your thick skulls and move the fuck on.she's just talking trash to get under your skin,why you can't get that,it beyond me.
@ryddelwearsahat what?that your both pathetic and can't swallow your pride and move on.or that you are a hypocrite for calling somebody else out for doing the same thing that you do?
@ryddelwearsahat lol you're so called facts are ONLY opinions,your saying a woman can do whatever they want with their body,but if she's carrying a baby,then she needs to understand that she does have a HUMAN BEING GROWING INSIDE OF HER.and it's not some blob floating around.what your saying is that a woman should be able to do whatever she wants when she want, especially if it's to her own body,so in order to make these women feel better,society has lied to them and told them,that it's nothing.
How about 1) men stay out of it 2) everyone stays out of it except the woman 3) we teach our kids to not be rapists 4) promote safe sex 5) its true that a number of abortions arent neccessary but come on... I dont want to impose my will on another human being. Then again i could be wrong, because im just a guy, but i hope to god i never find out what its like to have to be put through the emotional trauma of getting an abortion... <3 for all those women who arent appreciated
omg this made me sick you have to be strong to fulfill your dreams and not let something stop you ? may god have mercy on them i had a kid at 19 with a 18 year old and we were in no way ready for a baby, however we understood WE NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CHOICE WE MADE, and gave my son to a family who wanted him and cried when recieved him
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT-ladies and gentlemen i'm sorry to say be we've got a troll roaming around and it's name is SUEEZEE1.this individual is immature,pathetic and cannot except the fact that people have different views from he/she.this person has already troubled 6 different people for the last day&has been spammed 3xs.so if this random nutcase comes along and starts stuff with you,then just delete his comment.he's not worth the time nor the attention that he seeks.and that's all he wants.
@bluedreamer5000 yeah i was reading some of the past comments and this sueezee1 needs to cool it.it's youtube,a place where you can make comments,whether their right or wrong,if their racists,religious,or a demand to the public.you can say what you want and people can complain be you have to realize that,that's their opinion.you'er against abortion,she's for it but she doesn't need to make a federal case about it.remember,opinions are like an anus,we all have one.good or bad,deal with it.
@bluedreamer5000 Actually, sueezee is a good debater if you're honest and patient, and don't act like an idiot and spew out the same anti-abortion propaganda.
Yet this is the same line of reasoning people use when they say its the woman's choice. She is allowed to go out and do what she wants and have bear no responsibility for her actions? While another life created is snuffed out because this was never her intention to get pregnant.
All choices in life bear responsibility. Many women find themselves in horrible situations, many men do run out, but should the life of another person suffer at the inconvenience of a mother?
@IngeniousElf says: but should the life of another person suffer at the inconvenience of a mother?
~~~~~~~~~~ NO, you dimwit. The child should be the one suffering because he was born to a woman that considered him an inconvenience. Do you EVER have a critical thought?
@IngeniousElf A fetus isn't a person- that's the only flaw in your argument. It can't think, has no memories, is not independent, and cannot be adopted or put anywhere- it is not a choice, it is an accident, and dude- there is birth control to prevent pregnancy- there is no drunk-control to prevent drunken-ness.. so the comparison is just.. not fitting. In order for me to accept your 'analogy' I'd have to forget all of the glaringly obvious differences between the two situations.
@ryddelwearsahat Your argument is typical of pro-choicers, a recycled ideology parroted by thousands of people who don't really understand what they're talking about, but I really take issue with the "is not independent" thing. Is a baby independent? Post-birth, I mean. No, it's not. It depends on its mother for years and years. Does this make it less human? What, by your logic, defines being a person? Not trying to be rude, just genuinely curious.
When the police arrived on the scene the man explained that he never intended for this to happen. The police officers said its no problem at all sir, you never meant for this to happen. We will make sure the roads are cleared and the bodies removed. It was your CHOICE to go out and live it up and have fun but it was never your intention to kill anyone while drinking. Therefore you bear NO responsibility to your actions.
@IngeniousElf says: It was your CHOICE to go out and live it up and have fun but it was never your intention to kill anyone while drinking. Therefore you bear NO responsibility to your actions.
~~~~~~~~ Are you firkin kidding?? Youre comparing an unknown entity w/ the consciousness level of a danned earthworm to a living, breathing person? if thats your logic, no wonder you cant make abortion illegal.
One day a man decided that being Friday it was time to go out and have some fun. He decided to go out and get a drink or two. He ended up have somewhere over 10 and then decided to drive home. On his way home he drove into the oncoming lane killing and hit another car head on. The car he hit was carrying a 38 year old woman and her 4 year old daughter and 11 month old son. The man survived but the other three were trapped in the automobile and died.
If I remember my wikipedia correctly women could choose to terminate the life of a fetus before schools were desegragated what the hell kind of backwards morality is that
12 nurses charge that the U of Med & Dentistry of New Jersey violated state & federal laws by abruptly announcing in September that nurses would have to help with abortion patients before & after the procedure, reversing a long-standing policy exempting employees who refuse based on religious or moral objections. One of the nurses, Fe Esperanza R. Vinoya, said a manager told her: You just have to catch the baby’s head. Don’t worry, it’s already dead. WP
I think it's so sad when all the people around them talk young girls into thinking that they have no other option. Why is it that adoption is so often not even mentioned? Why do the boys who get these girls pregnant and their parents rush them into the decision for abortion? So often women who have had abortions ironically say they feel as if they had NO choice. I think that many, not all, pro-choice proponents actually seek to remove a girls choice to make their lives easier. That is sick.
@Sueezee1 A fifteen year old who is heavily influenced by the people around her. She might not want to have an abortion, but when you're fifteen or so and your boyfriend and adults around you pressure you to have an abortion don't you think she might feel like she has no choice? I think it's funny we talk about peer pressure and how to not give in to it, then we have people's PARENTS pressuring young girls to get abortions. It's not women I'm worried about, it's girls.
@Neekohlass lol dude give it up this nut,sueezee1 can't think out of her pro-life box to save her live.she's fighting everyone about every little thing.but you bring up a very valid point,if a young women say 15-18 wants her baby but everyone from her parents to her boyfriend pushes her to get an abortion,then what??.my mom knows a woman who was in the same position.she was going to college but her bf knocked her up,her parents and him said to get on or get out&she did.but she regrets it today.
@Neekohlass because adoption still implies you'll have a giant belly for 9 months and it has been proven that aborting is less traumatizing that giving the baby away
@CookieCrumbs31 lol right thought? i get sick and tired of people saying that abortion is the only option.if you're not ready then give it to someone who is,there are plenty of people who would kill to have a child,if you want an abortion then fine,have one but don't say that's all you can do.
@worldofpaul12 You're right. I'm sure it's better for them to end up dead never having lived than end up in a horrible big bad adoption center. Please.
I'm planning on adopting and I know many good people who plan on doing the same or already have. Give the kid a chance to end up in one of those homes rather than abort him. Abortion is just a cowards way out when women get one, and when girls get one ten to one they weren't given the help they needed by those around them.
@Neekohlass yea give them a chance to be future shizoprhenics. please the world is as bad as it is and face it, there arent many good people that will take care of the adopted child let alone adopt one. And also they never lived as a fetus in the first place. I know the feeling of loosing an unborn child but abortion is a serious topic and should be used in extreme circumstances. Like making sure if the kid can live a decent life or a crappy one that will make him suicidal.
i got pregnant at 17 and had a abortion and i am one of those who regrets it and doesnt regret it i dont regret it because i was very ill and i lost 30 pounds when i waspregnant and couldnt eat anything or it would make me vomit even crackers would and my ex bf wasnt there for me at all he just told me he didnt want to be apart of the childs life and i had no job and noone was hiring at the time for work so i had it and i only regret not waiting till i was ready to be a mom to have a baby
Not that you have to start a family, but hang on for 9 months and adopt the child out. After living in China for this long, I worry that we're on our way to taking it as nonchalantly as they do. To quote an ad by my flat, "What can you do in 50 kuai? (List of things)... Or Get an Abortion." I wish people would take this more seriously and ponder adoption... it's win win for everyone.
@bingbingbaobei says: hang on for 9 months and adopt the child out.
~~~~~~~~~ Suuure!! Stop aborting and have a possible one MILLION kids (in US alone) thrown way each yr...that could be 80 MILLION in your damned lifetime. Are you totally insane??? Heres an idea ...start thinking of the kids and NOT yourself and what makes YOU happy! Idiot
@bingbingbaobei says: I wish people would take this more seriously and ponder adoption..it's win win for everyone.
~~~~~~~~~ Are you kidding? Did you know that 44% of adopted males will be imprisoned, compared to 1% of the gen. public. 53 % of adults that were adopted are unemployed. 45% reported living on food stamps,Prevalence of PTSDamong Vietnam veterans: 15% - Prevalence of adopted kids w/ PTSD 25%.. 55% experience homelessness ?? NO ONE WINS BUT YOU!!!
@iluvsims288 One evil, AKA homophobia, or disrespecting would-be mothers who should be sympathized with, or overlooking the murders committed in times of war, does not make another evil any less terrible. Yeah, there are hypocrites in the world, but that isn't the issue here. Argue about the idea, not the people who represent it.

BIGPAPAREID 3 weeks ago 2
@BIGPAPAREID Not that you shouldn't have sex, you should just use protection. If, however, you fail to do that and cannot take care of it, just don't ruin a potential life and your own.
offwithurhead 2 days ago
@offwithurhead As you would've heard in the vid if you watched it, protection isn't 100% safe. Accidents will happen. Your own rights do not cease, as the fetus is -not- a person untill 20 or so days by scientific proof. So withoin that reason, safe abortion even with people like you screaming those rights.
OpticalArxenal 16 hours ago
@OpticalArxenal I know it isn't. Just like crossing the street at the green light, does that mean you shouldn't do that cause you don't want to get run over?
All I'm saying is sex is a good thing and just like any other animal we have those needs. in the modern world people can't give birth too often because, unlike in the wild, we don't just die from a cold or get eaten by stronger animals on a regular basis. Lucky for us, scientists have invented contraception so we can at least be safer.(c)
offwithurhead 14 hours ago
@offwithurhead If that fails, there's morning after pills and it's possible to abort your pregnancy at a reasonable time. I am pro-choice yet I'm not pro-abortion, I think a woman has the right to choose but people should avoid getting into that situation. However, I don't judge.
offwithurhead 14 hours ago
@OpticalArxenal a lot of forms are nearly 100% successful. if you're having sex and can't afford (emotionally, financially) to have a baby at the moment, so much so that abortion would be an option for you, then be sure to use at least TWO forms of effective birth control every time. not to mention educating yourself on how to use them properly and make them as efficient as they can be. "you" being in general, of course.
peanutmmss 56 minutes ago
@BIGPAPAREID But pregnancies can be aborted in an easy and nearly painless manner. In the case of russian roulette, you can't "abort" being dead.

pro choice isnt just about morals its about the fact that if we made it illegal women would be having illegal abortions through unsanitary means that could kill the mother instead of it being legal and having it in a sterile medical facility. not only that but some mothers cant afford pregnancy care and a lot have substance problems etc even if they were to adopt the child out it may be born unhealthy. it may not be moral but its necessary sometimes.

I really don't see why pressuring a girl into abortion is okay but telling them to consider other options is so wrong and messed up.

makemebleede 1 month ago
@makemebleede plus the world is so overpopulated that it's probably for the better. adoption? don't give me this shit about adoption. there are too many orphans in the world as it is.....children that never do get adopted, children with problems that stem from the mother not wanting to be pregnant. doing drugs, drinking, creating a damaged child that sucks the economy dry.

@makemebleede Ok so your solution to too many orphans is killing them? Although there are many overpopulated areas on Earth, there are still many large areas where no one is living. RAPE doesn't KILL, yet rape vics are morally/legally allowed to KILL that attacker or even that would-be attacker, to prevent a rape..b/c even though it doesn't kill you, it's just such an 'inconvenience' we can allow lethal force against a thinking, feeling person.

ABORTION IS A CIVIL AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT
no human has a right to life or any due process rights by the 14th amendment to use another human's body or body parts AGAINST their will, civil and constitutional rights: that's why u r not force to donate your kidney---the human fetus is no exception; this is protected by the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment that makes reproductive slavery unconstitutional.

(that's first trimester too)
AlexofAtlantis 1 month ago
@AlexofAtlantis 12 weeks=3 months. The abortion pill, the most commonly used form of abortion, doesn't go up to that amount of time. Point still stands- the mass majority are pill-form.
Actually, a fetus can't feel pain until 5 MONTHS- that's one of the pro'life' lies, you see, b/c certain NERVES begin developing at 8 weeks.. but the BRAIN, the part that does the thinking/feeling,e ct- isn't developed enough to process AND interpret AND respond to pain stimuli until 5 months. -c
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
-c What makes us PEOPLE is what is inside. If image was all that mattered then every picture, video, statues, ect of humankind would be a person. But that's not true- na embryo can't think, it has no memories to base opinions off of b/c it hasn't been born yet, let alone even be physically capable of consciousness which is the ABILITY to learn and form a self. It floats and grows, and occasionally twitches due to electrical or chemical impulse as nerve connections form. It's -c
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
-c also not even a separate, independent entity- it is part of the woman carrying it until born. It can't be removed or adopted or anything. It's a completely blank disc that also happens to be a work-in-progress- a potentiality. Even newborns and the mentally handicapped are completely different and can be classified as people, b/c of the independence and brain function.
Calling an embryo a person is an insult to everyone, including yourself. You're more complex than that.
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
@ryddelwearsahat at 8 weeks, 4,000 of the 4,500 structures (bones, organs, muscles and nerves) are present. Including the Thalamus, the part of the brain that processes pain. Fetal children shift off their mothers spines as she sleeps on her back, because they are uncomfortable. That requires a basic level of reaction. By your logic, the comatose aren't people, because they can't think? that's brutal.
AlexofAtlantis 1 month ago
@AlexofAtlantis Actually, the comatose can go one way or the other- it's a case-by-case thing. I suggest you do a little reading before clinging to that-

Do some reading that isn't provided by religious or pro'life' organizations. Pro'life'rs are notorious for conveniently forgetting certain facts or twisting the context of certain things to suit their purposes... like that bullshit claim floating around that 'fetus' is latin for 'little one'? OFFSPRING or alternatively, 'to bring forth'.
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
@ryddelwearsahat you claim to be educating me, but you have insulted me dozens of times, in a condescending speech pattern. You have insulted my intelligence, my humanity and personhood, you've called me a hypocrite more times than I'll bother to count. I believe that you are projecting, because I am a self-assured, highly intelligent, competent woman who has tolerated your insulting behaviors enough for one night.
AlexofAtlantis 1 month ago
@AlexofAtlantis So sorry for being pissed when you take what i say the wrong way or accuse me of saying shit I never said or even hinted at. Sorry if it leaks through as the offense and urge to retaliate and insult you.
Sorry, but you HAVE contradicted yourself- and instead of even accepting or acknowledging that, you lash out at me. You're being defensive and getting worked up over it.
I'm not the one who contradicted myself twice in the same post.
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
@ryddelwearsahat you laugh at that? You think that a pregnancy that results from the RAPE of a VIRGIN is Wanted and Accepted? That pregnancy was unplanned, I didn't want to be raped, and your telling me that there is no similarities? Wow, you're thick. I was carrying that child to term because it was a child! No matter who his father was, no matter who his mother was, no matter the circumstances of conception, he had a constitutional RIGHT TO LIFE.
AlexofAtlantis 1 month ago
@AlexofAtlantis ...I'm not talking about the rape, you moron- I'm talking about the pregnancy that resulted. Are you telling me you were going to abort that rape-pregnancy, then?
If not, then you accepted it. If you mourned the loss of the pregnancy, then you obviously wanted it or you wouldn't have felt that way.
..a right at your personal expense?
You can't have it both ways, to NOT want and deny, yet still want and accept it.
Chill out, and respond again w/o thinking -c
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
-c that I'm saying you wanted to be raped or whatever- that is SO NOT what I meant. How did you even get that from what I said?
I don't know how much clearer I can be other than, if you didn't want and didn't accept it, you'd have no been troubled over the miscarriage, and you'd have gotten an abortion. Lol you're making me repeat myself..
It's not a child, it's a potential. It doesn't have rights that involve FORCING you, or anyone, to suffer for it even to survive.
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
@ryddelwearsahat you're strawmaning me. I didn't mourn the loss of the pregnancy, it made my life easier, I never had to let anyone know what happened, because there wasn't any reason for them to ask. and No, I was not going to kill a child to make my life easier. That does not change the fact that I felt my child die. A child died, I was sad, it's natural to mourn the loss of life. I can 'have it both ways' I mourned the child that died, and yet was relieved that the rape stayed forgotten.
AlexofAtlantis 1 month ago
@AlexofAtlantis ..so.. when you said you cried when you miscarried, it wasn't b/c of the miscarriage and the fact that the fetus died?
You're contradicting yourself BADLY- sorry to break it to you, but you are. You should seek counseling about it if you haven't already. There are TONS of people who can help you deal w/ it.
Either way, there's no comparison between a miscarraige and an abortion- the circumstances are completely different.
though I'm eager to know whether or -c
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
-c not you fidn it justifiable to kill a rapist to prevent/stop a rape.. b/c surely NOT getting raped makes life easier, eh?
If abortion cannot be justified for the sake of the woman's physical AND mental health, as well as her ability to provide for herself(education or employment) due to the insurmountable stress that comes from an unplanned, and UNWANTED pregnancy.. then self-defense killing against rape, burglary, carjacking, and assault are not justifiable either, so you-c
ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
-c can go ahead and call those countless people out there, and probably even yourself if you are of the opinion that killing to prevent/stop a rape is justifiable, all selfish, b/c killing(not murder, two different things) to just 'make things easier' is wrong.

ryddelwearsahat 1 month ago
@ryddelwearsahat I pity those who have such an unfeeling and callus counselor. Are you equating a baby to a murdering/assulting/carjacking/burgler? Just for being concieved? Conception is now a felony?
"Normal" and "easy" are fallacies that allow society to marginalize and dehumanize the different. You are trying to tell me that now that I've delt with my trauma, I need to go see a councilor who will tell me my confidence in myself is misplaced and manipulated?
AlexofAtlantis 1 month ago
@AlexofAtlantis Did I say conception was a crime, you hypersensitive and overly-defensive moron?
No. I don't dehumanize a god-damn thing. I never once said it wasn't human- so kindly don't LIE or argue against a point I never even made to begin with.
It's not nice to hear that you're acting mental, no-but with the way you contradict yourself, and with the way you are unable to understand what I'm saying and respond defensively against points never made shows you have a -c

IngeniousElf 3 months ago
@IngeniousElf says: bear no responsibility for her actions?
~~~~~~~~~ Abortion IS being responsible. Having unwanted babies, like YOU prefer, isnt.
Sueezee1 3 months ago
@IngeniousElf says: but should the life of another person suffer at the inconvenience of a mother?
~~~~~~~~~~ NO, you dimwit. The child should be the one suffering because he was born to a woman that considered him an inconvenience. Do you EVER have a critical thought?
Sueezee1 3 months ago
@IngeniousElf A fetus isn't a person- that's the only flaw in your argument. It can't think, has no memories, is not independent, and cannot be adopted or put anywhere- it is not a choice, it is an accident, and dude- there is birth control to prevent pregnancy- there is no drunk-control to prevent drunken-ness.. so the comparison is just.. not fitting. In order for me to accept your 'analogy' I'd have to forget all of the glaringly obvious differences between the two situations.
ryddelwearsahat 2 months ago
@ryddelwearsahat Your argument is typical of pro-choicers, a recycled ideology parroted by thousands of people who don't really understand what they're talking about, but I really take issue with the "is not independent" thing. Is a baby independent? Post-birth, I mean. No, it's not. It depends on its mother for years and years. Does this make it less human? What, by your logic, defines being a person? Not trying to be rude, just genuinely curious.
