if you want to work on planes i will put it to you like this, despite what people say the navy has more planes than the airforce. they also have boats and guns. im a gunners mate in the navy. just talk to the recruiters and see which branch offers you more of what you want. the navy also visits many countries because of ports to refuel and just to visit. so you really will see the world. but the navy is no longer the drunk sailor thats all tattooed up. we are changing our image. good luck

To my knowledge RIVRON doesn't have any MC's at all. We've had MC's come out with us while we're doing certain training exercises. Talk to your detailer dude, maybe you can be the first. Honestly though, if you're not a first class and you do manage to get orders, there's a good chance that you're not going to be doing anything in your rate. i think my buddy EN3 bickel was on this deployment. he told me about the vid along time ago but i had just pull out on a 9 month with the Carl Vinson and didn't get a chance to see it. the 180 is bad ass. i miss SWCC after 3 years of it but after an injury rescue swimmer was the only choice

There is also SWCC (special warfare combatant Crewmen). They are the delivery boys for SEAL teams. They are qualified to parachute with their boats out of Cargo planes with the Teams. Very tough group.

whenever it comes time to pick orders talk to your detailer and he/she will see if there are any orders availble to the riverines. 1) you gotta be in the navy; 2) you have to be second class swim qualed; 3) you have to be willing to train all the time. There are three squadrons so if theres an opening in any of the three you should be good to go.

Don't even compare marine basic to navy. Navy boot can't is not hard. All you do is fold clothing, go on a computer, and make beds. Also don't go to 7th fleet. Especially to a flight one destroyer. Also know what job you want. Choose your rate choose your fate.

yea dude, personally i recommend the Navy because i'm in it right now have been for 3 years now. i can't be to harsh though on the Corps. cause i train with them all the time and we work with them, doesn't mean i want to be them though. they get treated so poorly by there superiors it's kinda sad. so thats just what i think.
