@madmonkeyness actually, xbox is just as capable as the ps3, the playstations ONLY advantages are free online play, and a blu-ray drive. anything else that you believe is better will be due to the ps3's operating system, which xbox could easily handle. xbox is technologically equal, and is cheaper (providing you arent online) and was released 2 years before. i would know, i own both and have for a long time and have researched theyre specs in depth. they are equal.

But Hideo Kojima said that they were considering doing a whole recreation of the game in the future. Although, MGS1 has already been remade for gamecube by a third party developer, if you want to check it out, look up Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.

@420187joker mgs3 hd is the subsistence version, which already had the new camera system, the hd collection is merely updating to hd, no new in-game features (except achievements/trophies and Transfarring). so in mgs2, you will be using the same camera system as in the original, and in peace walker, you will continue to return to the mission select screen, as you still need to update mother base and keep your soldiers healthy, hence 'Tactical Epionage Operations'.

@420187joker yeah, its confirmed via 1. images and 2. seeing hideo play peace walker in the reveal video, he goes through the mission select menu on peace walker, and it has been officially announced thgat MGS2 and MGS3 will be transfarring enable with the Playstation Vita, so mgs2 & 3 will be playable on the vita (but i have no idea weather it will be a disc release or via the Playstation Store)

Okay people fucking relax! This game is being ported from the PSP! They aren't going to be remodeling all of the props and characters for the port. The PSP simply isn't capable on rendering high resolution/poly models in real time. Besides you should be more concerned about game play over graphics. Which will be better on the home consoles due to the dual analog sticks.
