  • what amp are you using brand tube or SS thanks.

  • thanks for showing drum machine bit. i might buy it just for that instead of rp500/1000

  • i looove my rp355, but sometimes i get fetup D:

  • awsome man)

  • hey dude,i just got mine today (yay!),but being a male,i dont read instructions..so was wondering if you can show me how to get a full blown metal sound.in the likes of cannibal corpse, nile suffocation, you get the idea, full heavy shit.

  • hi man, how it sounds the Synth Talk effect on the 355? is it like on the digitech synth wah or very different?

    thanx in advance

  • nice review

  • 1:39 HIC!!

  • I just got this rp355 as well, love it!

you're pretty good on the guitar friend, keep it up.

  • I also own a RP 355 & am new to recording.I would like to know why cubase stops responding on windows 7 & what's the way to setup this unit for cubase? Pls reply.Nice review by the way.

  • do you run it through the amps effects loop?

  • can you tell me i have just got the digitech rp355 but i have only got a power pack cable what are the other cables you have beacuse i dont have any other ones and how do i connect my pc and amp together

  • Hey man, I'm trying to get pristine clean from the Amp models. Is that possible. If so, how do I do it?

  • I ordered one a few days ago...so pumped to get it!!! i recently had a used Boss GT-8 but had not instruction on how to use it...cant wait for the rp 355 though

  • hello derek , good demo mate , well can you please record some more drum loop, its says it got 60 but i want to hear some more please thanks,

  • $120! U lucky bastard. :) Where I live it $450

  • Comment removed

  • @choplass Got one on ebay for $147 Overseas shipping is about $47. Not $120, but still better than shelling out $450 at stores here. :)

  • whats the first song your playing?

  • @XxJacksonRhoadsxX just random shit

  • @bakerXderek it sound like deadly sinners from 3 inches of blood

  • wow sounds great. are those just the stock jackson pick ups in that? if so that's surprising. I'm just realising how stock pick ups aren't all bad. freat review I'm gettin mine next week.

  • Hey man, so when you're using wah-wah, are you actually using the pedal as if you had a real wah-wah or does it just go by itself?

  • @BTumblin94 its the rp355 was acting as a wah.... its awesome dude u can replace litterally hundreds of pedals with this thing... endless presets u can create an store them on your computer or flash drive or watever dude its awesome

  • @BTumblin94 real wah

  • Hey, Im sorry, but when you say it can be used a stompbox, do you mean you can combine up to 3 different effects using the little pedals? say for example i want to combine distortion with delay and wah effect, and remove each individually as i please...

  • @rhcpcrony Yes, you can turn each one of the three chosen effects on/off individually.

  • go and buy shoes!

  • @MrMarkusro I cant im a poor homeless crack baby.

  • @bakerXderek I fell ya man

  • Two more questions, and thanks btw..digitech should be paying you a fee for pimping their pedals...How is the wah? And is their a delay when switching from one effect to another? I have a friend that had a multieffect pedal and he said he couldn't play with it live because there was a disconnection and a delay when he switched from one effect to another.

    Thanks.

  • is the imput jack on the jackson on the larger or smaller fin?

  • @SerpentxTongue666 smaller fin

  • Can you switch between a clean tone and a distorted tone by just clicking the footswitch?

  • @mattygeordie1 yes, I have one

  • @mattygeordie1 Yes.

  • @mattygeordie1 YES you can, simply create a clean tone and a distorted tone next to each other in the list and then you will just be switching to each one you want

  • Stupid Question...I have looked all over for an answer for this, and I tried to download the user's manual from the website but it doesn't seem to be working, but I am assuming you just plug this into your guitar amp right? If you are running the drum machine, does that come from your amp as well as your guitar sound?

    Thanks. Nice demo BTW.

  • @timborocksloud yes set ur amp to the clean channel plug the pedal in and yes the drum sound comes out of the amp as well :) have a nice day man

  • i keep my main amp and pedals where my band plays. at home, i have a little one channel tube amp that sounds killer but has zero effects. i'd like to buy a small multi-effects unit like this instead of individual pedals. can you use this just for the effects and keep your amp's tone? or does it not let you bypass the amp models? i know you can on the rp1000, but i can't spend that much right now.

  • pls post the settings for your base crunch sound

  • @13rhansen look at my part 2 of this i show how to set up a good metal tone

  • can you use the loop with the drum sounds?

  • I was messing with this at Guitar Center, and I'm not sure why, but when I would stop playing by muting the strings there was a big "CRUNCH" sound. Do you know what was making it do this? Like does it always do this? Or was it the settings? Also, what was the song at 1:30? Pretty cool.

  • I like that riff you demo on. Very unholly confessions-ish with a bit of 80's metal in there

  • hey, ive heard this comes with the recording computer software cubase.. is that true? also do you have to use it through the computer or can you just plug it into your guitar and play? please message me, thanks.

  • @MrGamer1996 it does some with Cubase LE4 software, you can plug it into an amp or use headphones; it does not have to be plugged in to the computer

  • Awesome review. I have a question though. Does it come with a USB cable when you buy it? Or do you have to buy the USB seperate?

  • @xiiH4v0kiix you have to buy the USB cable

  • When you press and hold the down button, does it scroll through the different presets fast? Because I know the rp255 doesn't do that.

  • @ShadowSl4y3r yes

  • digitecg rp355 or rp500??

  • how do you run threw your amp set up do you use put it into direct or amp mode and do you turn the cab sim on or off when running threw an amp

  • sounds like a7x bro im not a huge fan but you got somethin goin for you

listen to monstrosity mirrors of reason

  • How does this compare to the Boss GT-8?

  • what song/band is the riff you are playing?? thx

  • Hey man.. i dont know if anyone asked this before... but can you add your own drum beats??? cause i would like to buy it and i am wondering could i add drums for..lets say Orion... could i?? could you mail me back it you don't mind??

    Regards

  • It's hard to tell via Youtube sound, but - does it actually sound as good as them analog distortions?

  • I got one of those yesterday too. Hey how to do you make tones? I'm looking for an extreme metal type of sound.

  • @Tooner5003 I just got one of these too. The best metal tone comes from the rectifier modeling in my opinion. The only thing I don't like about this pedal is that is doesn't model any Peavey amps. But if you use the Matchless or Vox you can get some cool tones. Also it does model a Boss Metal Zone pedal, or The Digi death pedal. You can check the manual too but I think the 6th preset is Dual Rectifier, Try that one and Tweak from there.

  • @vicwiley the rp500 models a peavey 5150

  • @akaboo69 I didn't know that thx

  • is this supported by microsoft windows 7 OS?

  • @rjmag007 yup thats what i use :)

  • @bakerXderek alright!thanks man!

  • can u use the drum machine with the looper?

  • @aneyekay1 sadly no u cant ive tried multiple times

  • lol this thing is like $200 @ guitar center way to go man!

  • tanks !whats the song at 1:55 ?

  • @bouggi123 just one i made up

  • Did you make that riff up?

  • @jakeallan3 yea basically all of them :)

  • I love that pedal so much!

  • @TEEJAY9920 same here its tha $HIT !!!

  • Good review man!

Im doubting about pod 2.0 and digitech rp model. Which you think is better?

And WhAT are the diferences between Digitech rp350 and 355?

    Thanks!! ;)

  • @blademagic95 I would say digitech because theres nothing that i DONT like about it but then again i have no idea about pod 2.0...but you will NOT be disipointed with digitech just make sure its my model or higher so you get full functionality...have a good day man !!!

  • dude how the fuck tdo i turn it off? or i just pull the plug ?:))

  • @T1gRe yes u pull the plug lol i said the same shit hahaha

  • what is the difference btw rp350 and rp 355?

  • @violentrage86 just a couple things

  • Great job on the demo! I've been lookin at buying one of these for a while!

ROCK ON my friend!!! (and put some socks on!!!)

  • i wonder how this thing would sound in my Vox vt30 combo amp.

  • @afroman655 it will sound great thru any amp because ur tones coming from the pedal and just sound out the speaker

  • so i got a question is this strait into your amp and is your amp a solid state?

  • @KingofPho75 yee

  • @bakerXderek okay then im new to these digitech pedals and is the pedal plugged into the amp's looper (considering if it has one) or is the guitar plugged into the pedal and you are using the amp as a speaker.

  • @KingofPho75 the amp as a speaker with pedal pluged in the compuiter

  • @bakerXderek thanks will buy this pedal

  • @KingofPho75 you wont be disipointed i promise

  • @bakerXderek cant wait to get it but how much is that jackson v?

  • @KingofPho75 $400.00 but its been dicontinued for a while now at least where i live in california

  • @bakerXderek hey does this have something like a sustainer pedal ?

  • @vicgarcia30 i'm i'm prety sure it does beacuse i know you can set equilizer tones for the epedal

  • @vicgarcia30 yes the pedal can be used for many of the effects

  • @bakerXderek make a vid on it

  • Hey man, I got this thing about a week ago. And just tried to hook it up to PC - no success. There's no sound at all. Does that Cubase thing has to be running?

By the way, just checked out your Hourglass cover - pretty badass. )))

  • @king666nothing tanx bro i use adobe soundbooth to record actually and i use the sound tab in the control panel and set ur digitech as the default device then switch to speakers on the sound ttab in control panel and u should start hearing it live out the computer speakers :) hope that helps

  • @bakerXderek Doesn't work. Something's fucked up with my computer probably. I set the RP355 as a default input device, but headphones/speakers as output device - still nothing,

But thatnx anyway. I'll figure it out someday.

  • @mitek9 20 seconds

  • how long is the delay? could the sound last for lets say 5 mins?

  • I just got this pedal and the distortions on it don't sound good to me. Can you recommend me some settings for a good metal tone plz.

  • @xxCrackZillaxx yea look at the comments on the lamb of god cover of mine vid i have one to show the settings for that sound

  • one question, does it have a harmonizer???and can you record with the drum pattern at the recording software???thanks!!

  • thanks man, that`s the first good and usefull - for me - review of this pedal on youtube... i`ve watched like 50 vids and still i didn`t know if this is any good for playing metal/metalcore... thanks to you now i know it`s pretty god damn good! cheers m8!

  • it costs around $200 on the market

  • @pdoughnut96

    200$ American?

    Because is Australia its $475

  • @dubdarel yea American .... and that sucks

  • do you still use an amp with this? this question is probably a dumb one

  • @funkyp4nd4 its not a dumb question lol BUT u CAN use any speaker u want as a "amp" for this tho

  • @bakerXderek so i could play it like a stompbox through a fender g-dec or a frontman?

  • nice review u should make a video of how to play that riff cause it seems everyone likes it

  • hey dude what guitar is that?? it looks cool

  • @tefolase JACKSON JS30 RR FR

  • im interested on buying this can you play eruption and master of puppets on that??

  • @tefolase fuck ya u can it sounds gr8 u can make like any tone u want

  • @temperslayer its actually easy if u just watch it cuz i only use 2 or 3 string 4 that riff

  • do you use computer speakers to use it or your amp?

  • @tefolase u could use any speakers but i use the amp

  • Boring lame ass metalcore cliche riffing...

  • @Shredpolice thank you....im glad im such a shitty guitarist

  • @Shredpolice It's a review ffs. Get over yourself.

Nice review, was very helpful to me.

  • @OneLoveJK im glad to hear that thank you :)

  • Which is the first riff that you played, dude?

  • @Alevizopoulos just something i made up

  • friend hear a question??

Pedal DigiTech RP355 has included the whammy?

  • @crisrockxp yah it has full whammy effect... its so good that the money is worth for the whammy feature alone... but all the other effects are just as good 2 ...... if ur looking to get a pedal trust me i highly recomend this thing...any more questions... i know im not the uploader and creater of the video im just helpin out

  • Very helpful! cool shit man

  • is this basically like an rp1000 with less features?

  • I bought the rp335 on Friday and I really like it.

You get a TON for $200.

I still haven't maximized all that it can do.

It's going to make my playing sound better and add for layers of sound when I play live.

  • is the digitech has a harmonist efect :)

  • is it have harmonist ?

  • hey can u make a video of how 2 make a preset.. from either scratch or from another preset... im getting confused... and how to set ampmodels to the a and b channels...plz

  • i plan on getting this later on its a beastly pedal and it kiks ass my friend has it but 4 now i am contempt with my rp90 and metal master and 4 any1 out there curious about the digitech rp90 and metal master i highly recomend them both they r absolutely amazing pedals and r a good price 2, however the metal master eats batteries so get a 9volt charger or a rechargable 9volt battery either way works, stay metal ppl.

  • @ bakerXderek thanks for the reply, i'm slowly getting the hang of this thing but haven't quite found my sound!! anyone have any good settings to pass on??? Metalica sound............ Oh another question when saving patches it asks to number them will it over right what is there?

  • Nice video bro.

I got a question: I'm a little confused about this "20 second looper" function though. Do they mean that EACH overdub can last 20 seconds, or the total of ALL the overdubs combined can only be 20 seconds? Does that make sense?

  • @paqman78 ummm i never use overdub but the loopeer just loops a riff u play thats all

  • Yeah , they mean that EACH overdub can last 20 seconds : ) Now you should say thanks ! :D

  • @paqman78 Overdub just loops over where you play it on the looper. So if you have a riff that is 20 secons and play 20 seconds, you still have 20 seconds of music.

  • @paqman78 You can play something through the looper, and it can only be 20 seconds long, after that it just cuts out and repeats what you put in. Overdubbing records whatever you play over the original loop, and that can be a maximum of 20 seconds.

  • @paqman78 no what they mean is that the longest the loop can last is 20 seconds.... u can overdub as many times as u want..

  • Hey dude great video .. can you send me some patches for this thing ?

  • @GigoTheDoctor Patches ? i dont think it has those

  • Good vid dude, just opened it up, is it normal for some of the settings in the tone & effects library to be alot louder than others? when selecting amps & cabs will it show up on the led example MARK2C & BIGMTL?

  • @samsquanch67 yes sum are set louder than others but if u set it to a level u want just do that and re STORE the tone and it will save at that level

  • thanks for the vid

  • @anzslayer no prob man

  • Hey bakerXderek, you commented on not knowing the regular price so I thought I'd drop some info. Musician's Friend and Guitar Center is 200 bucks. I just ordered mine from Ebay though brand new with a free 10' LiveWire cable for 169 bucks. As of this moment to those looking, there's three left. Send me a message if you need the link. Oh, I should add the one at Musician's Friend comes with a free gig bag for it, not sure about Guitar Center.

  • @ChrisBMichels thanx for the research info :) thats good to kno wen people ask

  • Sure thing, great review by the way, I meant to say that on the part 2, but forgot and started watching a review on the Washburn WM526.

  • i bought it a few weeks ago..it kicks ass..like u said u find new things you can do with it everyday.. i recommend it 100%

  • Awesome review and playing! Dude do you notice any audible latency issues switching between patches? Let's say I'm playing this riff using a patch that has the TS9 switched on, then on the next part of the song I have to switch to a heavier sound using the Death Metal. I'm aware of the stompbox feature of the RP355 as well but what concerns me is if it has noticeable lag issues whenever you need to switch to another patch. Thanks for your time reading this! Keep it metal! \m/

  • @BlackAxes ya dude i totaly kno wat u mean its got like a quick 1-2 second lag...that does kinda suck...im gona make a part 2 of this pedal probablly today as well and get more in depth of it but ya its not just ur pedal cuz mine does the exact same thing it kinda blows but it still is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • @BlackAxes no i've been wondering about this as well, i have an RP90. and switching between settings, like in 'The Thig that Should Not Be' by Metallica for example, i can switch very easily, & it's all seamless. and thats on the less powerful 90, so a 355 could only be better.

  • nice playing dude, is there a built in equalizer?

  • @nspade13 yes it does quite a good one too :)

  • i cant get a good metal sound :( out of my rp355? all sound to treble-y

what r u using. cuz the only setting that sound good is the 80-s preset

  • @wims09 well u go to any sound thats already there and turn the first switch on the left and go to metal setting and turn the drive and gain upand tweak the equilizer

  • @ wims09 - try making your own using the Rectifier model. I tweaked the rectifier factory preset by adding a bit of distortion pedal, a bit more bass on the EQ, and some reverb, and got a KILLER heavy metal tone out of it.

  • How is the stock distorion on it for metal?

  • well dude you can make over 120 sounds an tweak em to ur custom sound lol i made my sound cuz i like HEAAAAAVY sound lol !!!

  • Nice, u eva tried to get a metal sound of a strat?

  • @wims09 ya dude u make watever sounds u want heavy as fuck too soft ol depends on ur style lol i dont kno wat u like
