Al, i really like watching your videos and the way you have complete control of your clippers. I'm a cosmetologist but I love doing clipper cuts. I struggle at time with fading and I was wondering if you could do a tutorial explaining how to fade, more detailed??? Oh and a barber's version on what a fade is. I find a lot of people ask for fades when its really just a blend! thanks!

No one said you needed to use Andis. I use whatever works, but the viewer brought up Andis and it is one of the leading clipper companies in the world. I really don't care if you use a razor blade and a tooth brush.

Hey Al got a question. At about 8:18 you moved it from the second notch to another notch. What was the reason for that? I'm Stil trying to learn to fade.

I moved it to the 4th notch looking at how high I went. As you fade you have to constantly adjust to remove lines and shadows, that's the thing you're have to master. That unfortunately only comes with practice.

@MARTINCINHO10 A fade can be as short as you want it. It can be a 1 on top, 2. doesnt matter as long as it goes from short to longer. I fade my head with a 1/32 on bottom and 3 on top
