I have not competed in olympic lifting. I sometimes do power verisions of snatches or cleans with thick bars and I try to do jerks when I lift overhead. I'd certainly need to do a lot of work to get even decent form on the olympic lifts.
It's similar but not the same. I'd say the big difference is the unfavorable position the wide grip puts the upper back in. You have to contract it really hard. Also, while you start lower, the bar ends up higher, making a slightly harder lockout.
That is one ugly pull, but you're damn strong.

@kureigu85 I think they will, they really develop those upper back pulling muscles while at the same time killing your lumbars if you go heavy.
