  • Congratulations!

That Was A Really A Great Example of No Flaps vs. With Flaps!

    Thank You!

  • Good flyin!, One thing i hate when i fly in cold weather is i loose the feeling in my thumbs and its hard to feel the sticks on the radio. i live in Canada and right now its 2 degrees...

  • @awsem1o1 Thanks! Yes I know what you mean, and I can't stand wearing gloves no matter how thin on the sticks because it feels like my movment is restricted. Of course at 2 degrees I don't think the batterys would last long enough to taxi to the runway lol

  • @E744763Productions its canada eh! i think the degres here are in Celsius are yours are in Fahrenheit, im not to sure

  • @awsem1o1 I think we should all be in Celsius (but what are the chances fo that hapening lol). I thought you meant 2 degrees fahrenheit which is -17 celsius and 35 fahrenheit is 2 celsius haha

  • @E744763Productions Yah it should be in one universal measurement so there is no confusion

  • windmill the prop.....

  • @emoore1978 The runway is a good 300 feet long and I conserve a considerable amount of power by shutting the motor off when I haven't even started my base leg. If I want to turn it on for a shorter runway I could but the flaps are plenty good for now.

  • Hey it's been awhile, looking good great job on the upgrades she really fly's well. The mixing of the flaps and elevator made all the difference. Always enjoy you and your dads videos...

  • Nice work!

Hey... what are your parents feeding you? You're gett'n taller.

  • Gotta love them flaps! Nice flyin!

  • @TheLipRipp3r Oh yah gotta have the bush feel!

  • PS: Yes, I will get a sailplane for you to tow!

  • @labdatum *Awesome!*

  • This plane has always been about change!

First of course was the conversion to electric. Then to our first plane with floats (and rebound from The Green Lake Incident). Then the Tragic Wing Seperation Incident showed us that you can recover from the harshest of crashes. Also, there were many flights with our first look at HD in-flight video.

Now, you improved it with a fundamental change in flight control (and gear). *Glorious*

Really shows the fun of a basic platform to build from. Nice job!

  • Great video and you have done an awesome job on your plane. I have to ask though, why do you have the brake set up on your esc? If you let your prop windmill while your power is off, you will get it to slow down even more. I am going to do the same thing to my son's Nexstar this winter with the flaps and put a larger motor in it.

  • @PC9JEFF Hi, thanks for commenting. I usually have the brake set on my other planes too because of the increased drag but last summer we were thermalling it (yes as crazy as it might sound but we actually did it a few times) and seeing how far we could go out and making it back with no throttle and stuff like that so we turned the break off. Good luck on your Nexstar!

  • @E744763Productions break on*
