  • house ?

  • HABE EINE ---- 505 ------ ZU VERKAUFEN

  • dude this is amazing

  • I have the MC 909, and this song with the 505 seems very comparable to some songs that come out of the 909. good job man!

  • ravin' drops of acid.

  • @westcoasthaze

would you recomd FL studio or other software

  • nice, sounds very much like early Aphex Twin and Autechre...

    is this processed externally ?

  • the good damp sound

    true live electronic act !

  • @westcoasthaze

Hi, mc505 user... When you dial in a new pattern, the mc505 will load the next pattern as it is stored,. It does not have an option to remember which channels currently are muted. If you'd like to play live, store the same pattern a few times with different channels muted. I hope you understand.

  • miec taki sprzet i zrobic takie gowno!!wiecej sprzetu niz talentu!p.s to jak juz to m oze byc Acid techno ,a nie house!!

  • Hahahaha.... yeah ... "house". House is nowhere near 144 BPM. This is trance.

  • this is psytrance bro, def not anything close to house

  • oldskool acid house

  • sounds so nice, would sounds amazing on a huge pa installation.

  • @norphies

If you can check the new song i made on the 505 yesterday :)

  • gotta agree with norphe , that's what im doing , i already got lots of knowledge how the synths work etc , so its mostly trying to make something on the 505 and if you then think "ok , i want to change the sound" for ex. then look on the manual and look for the part where it explains that part :)

  • Yea guys honestly i think we should do somekind of a 505 community! :)

  • Actually, a few of the tutorials on creating your own voice presets aren't bad, and will get you started.

The index is a good tool, too, for menus.

  • Sokkerkid101

    make that 2 ;)

  • I've been practicing non stop

i'm still trying to understand the sequencer but I am pretty confident with everything else. Let me know if you need help!

also if you figure out the sequencer that would be nice

  • i've been dealing with mostly computer sequencers , vst's and stuff which just turned to be a piece of cake and besides that i think it loses all the fun when you mostly program the computer and the computer does the whole thing for you.

I'm alright with the 505 , just a bit lazy to create some new presets i gotta be honest (that's what software makes you , a plain lazy) LOL

  • Thanks, one more question, what are you using to record it?

    Thanks

  • I think hes recording it by hooking it up to his computer, i got my mc505 hooked up to my audio interface and then im recording it through ableton.

  • I am having such a hard time with this machine :P

granted I only got it yesterday but I'm trying to read over the material...currently the 200+ manual. Any other suggested reading or tips to learn it? Thanks!

  • how are you on the MC505 now? did you learn it?? I just got mine the other day.

  • wow!!!

  • good sounds man!

  • Very Acid like sounds you can produce with that machine!

Although definitely not the same before I get a shit load of comments over my head!

  • There are some patches in the 505 that have TB it its name ;) It would have been great if they had put Roland TB's slide functions in the groovebox....tb-303 and mc-505 in one box :-D

  • I see

  • hummm , you can slide on the 505 but i know what you mean , get that accent and unique slide of the tb303 on the 505 xD , oh well can't ask too much! :)

  • amazing wat u can do with a relic, ur talented well done!

  • Nice work mate, had mine since 1999, just plugged it back in today after a few years in the wardrobe.

  • Its all about the artist... not the gear! : )

  • Sooooooo true!!! I read once in an interview with Dave Mustaine, (greatest all-round metal guitarist ever), that often times he will write entire songs without even being plugged into a guitar amp! He said that sometimes an amp isn't around and he only has his guitar, and has made masterpieces that way. Anyway, this guy here kicks ass, great track!

  • deep and minimal like we used to call it :)

  • sounds more like oldskool techno or acid :) but realy good

  • I like it. Very nice work.

  • Best 505 stuff yet. GJ! More!

  • Nice! How long have you been using a 505?

  • I dont know exactly but I guess I have bought it in 2000 or so. I borrowed it for a few months first. It takes quite some time to figger out how things work on this machine.

  • nice

  • is this all done with what comes with a groovebox or did you have to download stuff onto it? i take it you are playing this through a amp? and can you rig that up to your pc and record the sounds onto your pc?

any help would be appreciated i am looking into getting one of these!

  • All done with the standard sounds of the groovebox... although some sounds are heavily customized and put thru filters and efx, this track was recorded by connnecting the 505 straight to my PC soundcard.

  • (filters and efx on board the 505)

  • hey cool videos. i want to see more from your ;)

  • more to come soon. thanks!

  • pretty cool
