L4D2 puts the zombie collection to a unique level. It is seriously the most gruesome game we have ever before tried. If you havent got it and tried it as of yes, look to L4D2dlXcom (replace X with . ). They have the game for absolutely free there!
But all in all i spent around 50 dollors for L4D2 and 60 for mw2. Thats 110 dollors plus tax and stuff so lets say 125 dollors. I say well spent. I so far have enjoyed around 15 hours of fun on L4D2 and now i think my game time on mw2 is 5 days 17 hours... ANyway im satisfed with the games. I think you should rent them before saying how good/bad they are. THank you for reading.
It would have gotten a 10 out of 10 if it had better single player. THe single player was great dont get me wrong but i beat the game on normal in 4 hours. Took me 7 hours on vet... Not good...
L4D2 well i just got the game a few days ago and its pretty fun. I enjoy blowing away zombies for a few hours. I cant compair it to L4D1 because i never bought it (because its only good online and at the time i did not have highspeed)
I bought mw2 awhile ago and I got it when i did NOT have xbox live... So i had no multiplayer. I was extremly disapointed in the single player game. I always avoid shooter games because they are aweful in single player. But i finally got highspeed got on live and it was extremly fun. Worth the 60 dollors all the way. The ranking is great the weapon and camo unlocks keep you playing the prestige mode keeps you playing overall i give it a 9 out of 10 (read next post)
LOOK AT OTHER COMMENTS FIRST. especially with machine guns and snipers which have pinpoint accuracy with the laser on. i think that's all that is wrong with this game, which is a lot because you can't go 2 minutes without finding one of these things.
LOOK AT OTHER COMMENTS FIRST. you find them laying on the ground, in someone's house, in a garbage can, i mean seriously! i think a better idea would be to put a silencer once in each campaign and it could be put on any weapon. i think that would be cool. also the laser sights are pretty cool, but you cant see them. your cross heirs get in the way of the laser which pissed me off when i first found them. i think you should have the option of removing the cross heirs when you have your laser on.

If they made it an extremely rare to find, then i think it would've been fine, but you find these things everywhere. also, the silenced oozi? silencers are illegal and i've listened to the commentary and they say it's kindof a criminal weapon so that makes you wonder how they got it, but you find these things everywhere.

(I don't like the carnivle one because they overcomplicated it.) both of these levels give you the fear of the unknown and darkness. Also, one of their biggest mistakes is overcomplicating their game. i don't mean the new panic moments, but the new weapons and such. they actually added a lot of weapons to the game which made things not very fun. for instance, they added a bullshit ak-47.
I think one of the reasons l4d2 was so bad was because of their complete change in how they made the maps. they decided that they wanted to make most of the campaigns in day. big mistake. sure, fighting zombies in daytime makes the game more realistic, but it takes the fun away the essence of how the game is suposed to make you feel. they made the same mistake that RE5 did nobody's playing those games anymore.

I do admit.... I had to play it twice to get the full understanding of it... plus I played it on veteran right away.... and cared more for beating it then listening to the story... COD:MW2 is decent (for 360). The campaign was awful. The co-op stuff was fun, but it was also too short. The multiplayer is pretty decent though (for 360; I can understand why PC gamers would be pissed). The multiplayer gameplay is different enough from COD4 that it is fun, but I would still probably rather play something else if all my friends didn't play it.

You should try out some other games if you think that was the best ever (Just some examples. Modern Games: Half Life 2, Fallout 3, Metroid Prime. Old games: WinBack, Perfect Dark, Quake. Really old: Zelda (NES), et cetera). The campaign is far less than 8 hours, which is standard for an FPS. IGN gives a lot of games good ratings, especially games with a lot of advertising and hype. I do agree with you that IGN's ratings are usually off however.

MW2 is shit. I had no idea how bloody necessary lean was when you play Veteran difficulty setting. It's literally a kick to the face. You can't pop out of cover to shoot and then duck back when your general area gets hosed with gunfire. Balanced for dual wield my ass. Don't worry about the dedicated servers though, those are going to be hacked in along with the modes hidden in the game which would require payments to activate. And lean too by the way. Go stuff yourself IW!
Wow out of 305 million on the first day a 1000 said they didn't like it, Don't take advice from Internet nerds. Its got some downs but name one game that has ever came out that was perfect. No first person shooter has been better but that is just my opinion. MW2 was great but way too short. It's definitely worth playing, but not worth $60. I'm going to return it for credit against something else, to recoup some of the cost, the six hours of singleplayer are six hours of awesome.
No, critcis and people are not the same peeps.. Critics rate a game because they are payed to do so.. A lot of the time they are asked to rate games they do not even like, and they might also look into things, or ignore things, that the average players do not care about.

MW2 is by far the best FPS game I've ever played, period. Sure, the campaign might be ~8 hours on veteran, albeit amazing, but then you have spec-ops which takes far more hours. Sure, hardcore clan based players might want more of the multiplayer part, but it's great for ordinary people like me (former veteran Q1/Q2/Q3 player) who now just play for fun.
im sure MW2 is great but i wasn't convinced to get it. it just sounded too much of the same thing as before. i opted for Assassin's Creed 2 instead before i get MW2 because i'm a little bit troubled on funds and i had to be sure i'd enjoy the wait for the other game (as if BlazBlue doesn't do that for me already, i LOVE the online play). Assassin's Creed 2 is peaceful, in MW2 i'll be getting yelled at by a kid for successfully running and gunning with a sniper rifle. :P
Modern Warfare 2 has screwed over pc players, and thanks to console fanboys saying well we don't play on a pc so we don't care, they are going to start charging us all to download content packs. Thanks. And I bought left 4 dead 2 knowing that it would be pretty much left 4 dead with better graphics.
I love left 4 dead 2. I think it's loads of fun. the one problem is that melee weapons are so powerful. in 3-4 hits you can kill witches. other then that i think it's really fun. the new infected are cool and fun to play. i'm sure with time, more problems will begin to show up, but no game is perfect

The game is great for console it awesome no doubt about that. But its not about the mods its about having the freedom to join any server you want with your friends and have a home server to play in that is ran by your clan. its great for console so go play it and have fun. You console guys will never know how limited you are its sad .
For the record, I went to Gamespot, and true to form 99% of people who gave this game a low score did so because of multiplayer.
Singleplayer campaign was really short so $60 might have been a steep price but what a ride...it was worth it in my book even if you don't like the multiplayer. Play Spec Ops mode with a buddy...easy solution.
I hate seeing idiots give a good game bad ratings because nobody will read about their crying posts about how Infinity Ward won't let them mod their game.

Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 are the most "anticipated" games of 2009. LOL that's the word I think you were looking for. The L4D2 demo just came out recently and I've seen it... not THAT impressive but a lot of changes have been made with the game play. I'm really excited to test drive the Realistic stage =)
And I thoroughly enjoyed the L4D2 demo, and I agree it's pretty much just a shinier Left 4 Dead. Prettier to look at, with different people, and not much else.

I'm not too much of a gamer type of guy but i have played modern war fare & i think it's like a fast pace of halo. the only game i think you should talk about is MK vs DC now that game is not bad..you should consider talking about it.
MW2 multiplayer is fucking terrible no skill required just grab a scar point and shoot. at least in CoDWaW the semi auto rifles added a different play style rather than hose everything down till you can call in a nuke and end the game

COD:MW2 is decent (for 360). The campaign was awful. The co-op stuff was fun, but it was also too short. The multiplayer is pretty decent though (for 360; I can understand why PC gamers would be pissed). The multiplayer gameplay is different enough from COD4 that it is fun, but I would still probably rather play something else if all my friends didn't play it.

You should try out some other games if you think that was the best ever (Just some examples. Modern Games: Half Life 2, Fallout 3, Metroid Prime. Old games: WinBack, Perfect Dark, Quake. Really old: Zelda (NES), et cetera). The campaign is far less than 8 hours, which is standard for an FPS. IGN gives a lot of games good ratings, especially games with a lot of advertising and hype. I do agree with you that IGN's ratings are usually off however.

ignorant opinion. i bought whilst currently playing ratchet and clank: crack in time. and i ditched it to play MW2....after realising the multiplayer was nothing new with just added perks and killstreak awards, i put the game on ebay at a loss of about £6. and on top of all this im fed up of lookin at a fuckin gun at the side of the screen bobbing around. some people like to mix up and play different games, that doesnt mean they "know nothing". What other games use predator missiles, a wide arsenal of realistic looking and operating weapons, and utilize such balls to the wall graphics? MW2 is shit. I had no idea how bloody necessary lean was when you play Veteran difficulty setting. It's literally a kick to the face. You can't pop out of cover to shoot and then duck back when your general area gets hosed with gunfire. Balanced for dual wield my ass. Don't worry about the dedicated servers though, those are going to be hacked in along with the modes hidden in the game which would require payments to activate. And lean too by the way. Go stuff yourself IW!

Wow out of 305 million on the first day a 1000 said they didn't like it, Don't take advice from Internet nerds. Its got some downs but name one game that has ever came out that was perfect. No first person shooter has been better but that is just my opinion. Im an online person myself so the short campaign wasn't as bad to me, and all the online people I've played with said they loved the game. MW2 was great but way too short. It's definitely worth playing, but not worth $60. I'm going to return it for credit against something else, to recoup some of the cost, the six hours of singleplayer are six hours of awesome.

No, critcis and people are not the same peeps.. Critics rate a game because they are payed to do so.. A lot of the time they are asked to rate games they do not even like, and they might also look into things, or ignore things, that the average players do not care about.

MW2 is by far the best FPS game I've ever played, period. Sure, the campaign might be ~8 hours on veteran, albeit amazing, but then you have spec-ops which takes far more hours. Sure, hardcore clan based players might want more of the multiplayer part, but it's great for ordinary people like me (former veteran Q1/Q2/Q3 player) who now just play for fun.

im sure MW2 is great but i wasn't convinced to get it. it just sounded too much of the same thing as before. i opted for Assassin's Creed 2 instead before i get MW2 because i'm a little bit troubled on funds and i had to be sure i'd enjoy the wait for the other game (as if BlazBlue doesn't do that for me already, i LOVE the online play). Assassin's Creed 2 is peaceful, in MW2 i'll be getting yelled at by a kid for successfully running and gunning with a sniper rifle. :P

I love left 4 dead 2. I think it's loads of fun. the one problem is that melee weapons are so powerful. in 3-4 hits you can kill witches. other then that i think it's really fun. the new infected are cool and fun to play. i'm sure with time, more problems will begin to show up, but no game is perfect

But its not about the mods its about having the freedom to join any server you want with your friends and have a home server to play in that is ran by your clan. its great for console so go play it and have fun. For the record, I went to Gamespot, and true to form 99% of people who gave this game a low score did so because of multiplayer.
Singleplayer campaign was really short so $60 might have been a steep price but what a ride...it was worth it in my book even if you don't like the multiplayer. Play Spec Ops mode with a buddy...easy solution.
I hate seeing idiots give a good game bad ratings because nobody will read about their crying posts about how Infinity Ward won't let them mod their game.

The L4D2 demo just came out recently and I've seen it... not THAT impressive but a lot of changes have been made with the game play. I'm really excited to test drive the Realistic stage =)
