I was there at Itazuke AFB in 1970 - 1972, and i went to Misawa AB in 1973 thru the end of 1974. I really don't recognize anything about Misawa as i look at this present video. We were living in world war II barracks, and ol;der base housing...not a high rise in sight at that time. I would think Tawada and Hachinohe cities are huge and developed moreso than they were. I had a lot of fun there. Thnks for the memories..!
looks exactly the same as ten years ago when i lived there. I was 8 years old whne i left. found my old houses area and all the house were rebuilt on google map :( tht the only thing that's changed

God I dont even remember when I finally started getting used to "driving on the otherside" when we got back to the states. Do the kids still go to that huge hill up there and sled down??
Oh is that restaurant still up there by the golf course?? I think it was called Mimi's or something. I'll have to ask my dad. I believe it was an Italian restaurant.
I like the look of this place. It just looks layed back,im wondering though what is with all the abandoned buildings? are they re-doing Misawa?

Bringing brown and beige to a whole new level. Looks the same as it did in 1992.
Is there still a spot to ride bikes on the opposite side of the hill from the orange fencing? If so, that was built around 1990.
