@seebee077 The R1 thru R9 trains are very fast and strong. They look faster than the new R142, R160, and R143 trains. These new trains might have better propulsion unit system and better suspensions on them. But the older subway cars are more reliable than these new cars.

@KidGangstaReturns You are right on the money. R1 thru R9 series cars were built between 1930 and 1940. The MTA retired the last of R9s in 1977.
