Still, you never know. What if the preceding person had a really sh--ty, messy time on the toilet and had fecal matter on their hands. They went ahead and touched the bar to flush. You never knew of course cause you didn't see it happen. Then you go and touch the same bar with the filth on it. Sure you can wash up afterward but are you sure you'll get all the germs? That's dangerous. So, it's safer to use your shoe.
