The shit was solid until the mid 90s but alot of good rappers fell off by the end of the 90s. Even though good stuff was still being released by Ice Cube, Ice T, KRS1, and a few CA rappers like E40, Kurrupt, Eastsidaz/Snoop I still think the best days of hiphop were well and truly behind us by 96.

Dont get me wrong there are good things between mid 90s and today that come out in a blue moon, like Westside Connection but when you look at new skool you have to wonder if real hiphop died already.
