Last winter I lived in my truck with nothing but a snowmobile, a season pass, my gear, and a shit load of granola bars. I rode everyday. That was the happiest time of my life. This season I have to go back to school. It's miserable. I'm only going to get like 20 days in. It's not like I am doing bad in school either, I'm on the Dean's list.

I get all my gear from proform/hook ups anyway. It's either free or super cheap. I make all my money from working in the industry too, so I don't even consider it work.

Happiness is more than just joy. Joy is a short term emotion. I can almost guarantee you that person would forget your donation within a couple of weeks.

Same goes for when you buy something. You have a lot of fun with it at first, but then you start to lose interest after a bit.

You are going to be chasing that joy after you lose interest. You are going to be grinding out a 9-5 office job to get that little taste of joy, then repeat the cycle.

That is not 'happiness' to me.

This is why being rich is such a goal for me. So I do like to be pretty rich at a pretty young age.
