i can personally attest to the fact that Jesus' teachings were quite beyond burdensome for me as an young Christian about 21 years ago, around 1990, in India. Believe in Jesus was taught at the church started by Bro. Bakht Singh (who was still alive then); but then i read and re-read the synoptics, i was amazed that i cannot possibly enter into his kingdom; the struggle continued for the next 15 years. My sanity restored here in the USA by the simultaneous introduction
of Miles Stanford, dispensationalism, and justification by faith. But then i kept on thinking what about Jesus --- If you love me you will obey my commands, and the great cost to enter into the kingdom...Hopefully as i read your writings more, maybe i will find some organic connection to both Jesus and Paul.
IDH77 said it right, "there is NO dichotomy between the Jesus teaching on the kingdom and Paul's on Justification by Faith Alone." If someone has been wrapped up in just Paul, and only taught Paul, then they have just been brought up with bad teaching.
All this is a result of bad teaching. There is NO dichotomy between the Jesus teaching on the kingdom and Paul’s on Justification by Faith Alone.
One is a product of the other. Since many Christians refuse to use the Historical Grammatical Method of interpretation and use the Allegorical Method instead they will be confused.

I appreciate Scott's discussion about this.
I am perplexed that the issue is so "difficult".
Col 1:13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
Heb 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken...
I am born again (Jesus) when I am justified by faith (Paul).
I am part of the kingdom (Jesus) when joined to Jesus in the church (Paul).
Paul & Jesus held a common view of Jesus acc'd to the scriptures.
