From a former Hamburg resident and Fireman who was the officer on the ladder? I hate to say the other guy is right but he should have been in charge up there.
i was at the fire and all i gotta say is that unless you were there you have clue on what to say....the guys up there were not from the home department and the home department got an apology for the black gear guys.....if the home people were on that ladder it would have been done right....and there was no straight tip used on the scene...
I think I see that there is a brown coat / white hat on the ladder? Isn't that the home company asst chief?? Yup, it is! Isn't he in charge?? Better watch what you say guy, you are making your own "home company" look bad!
4 truckies up a ladder. NO TOOLS but the roof ladder. One truckie has to come down to get the saw. No clue on how to place a roof ladder. No communications. Interior crew blows hole in roof with straight tip not knowing truckies were on roof. Bad situation. So much for truckies venting roof. Engine crew got to it first!!! No disrespect for the brothers, but you need more training before someone gets killed.
All I will say is that the people on the ladder are not from the dept that owns the truck. This is not the first time this has happened with the guys on the ladder but maybe it should be the last.
i dont wanna monday morning quarterback but you can def tell the difference between a paid dept and the county depts......wow......i think they need another 3 guys on the tip of that ladder

Looks to me like there is a home company "white hat" on the ladder. He should be in charge. Better watch what you are saying.
