A blessed day PrairePaperandInk. If you don't mind, I would like to ask you if textile ink can be removed also by this formula/recipe? May God bless you!
I have been trying to find glycerine and haven't had any luck. My target, walgreens, cub, and rainbow didn't have it. Where did you pick yours up? Love this idea because Stampin Up! cleaner doesn't last very long for me! Thanks for sharing this.
@geegee622 I picked mine up at WalMart or the local pharmacy. Honestly I can't remember I made this video over 2 years ago and haven't had to purchase any more glycerine since. Sorry I can't be of more help!
@gurlmeow I recommend distilled water as it won't have any impurities in it - sometimes there can be "stuff" in tap water/spring water that can go bad over time if you know what I mean? But in reality if that's all you've got it would prolly be fine - it's not like you're drinking it ;o)
@scrappinkay whichever way you choose to use it is fine. If you're spraying it right onto the stamp you then need some way to wipe it off though to actually clean the stamp off.
@zelda75231 it does if you clean the stamps RIGHT after stamping with Stazon - otherwise the stamp will still stain (and if it's a clear stamp it will stain no matter what ink you use - it's just their makeup). Ultra Clean stamp cleaner is awesome for cleaning stains off stamps - I use it along with my homemade version and I'm always good to go.
@desireem7 yes it will. But FYI photopolymer stamps stain VERY easily - and after a while no cleaner will make them "clear" again. The cleaner will remove the ink residue left on the stamps but it won't remove the stains - but staining doesn't affect the "stampability" of clear stamps in any way. HTH!
Hi, Can i use this stamp cleaner recepie instead of the stampin up one? Does it work the same? And with the bubble something cleaner? Please let me know, thanks
It needs to be distilled water - if you use just regular well water/tap water there's a chance the mixture could smell funky (not sure if it would actually "go bad") or something down the road from any minerals/etc etc that are in well/tap water.

Hello, what is the difference between 'cleaning' and 'conditioning' and do Both need to be done to rubber and clear stamps? Thanks.

do you actually have to use distilled water? Could you use tap or even spring water?

do you spray this directly on the stamp or do you use a stamp pad cleaner to spray it on then rub your stamp on it?

it works whit printer ink on paper?
drpainlesss 1 year ago
@drpainlesss um no. This is for cleaning ink off stamps. You're not going to be able to remove printer ink from paper no matter what you do.

You ROCK! That's the best tip EVER! Thank you!!
Will that work on Staz On too?
candledamachine 2 years ago
It can clean StazOn for the most part if you clean the stamp right away - but it won't clean it completely off.
For StazOn I totally recommend Ultra Clean by Stewart Superior - that stuff is awesome :)

Does that work for acrylic stamps too? Thanks for the tip!
