  • "I'd rather die tomorrow... than live 100 years without knowing you!"

Awwwww no one does romance like Disney <3

  • I love this song, my and my fiancee sing this to each other all the time

  • I love this song, my and my fiancee sing this to each other all the time

  • *sobbing* Okay, the first movie was criticized for being historically inaccurate.. and I am ALL for the second one being criticized for being historically accurate! It should've been John Smith!

  • aww

  • I have the Video Cassete (yeah that time there were no dvds) And that part is NOT included!!!!

  • @NexSapphireBrast Watch the credits. The song is there.

  • DECIDED: I'M GETTING MARRIED WITH THIS SONG

  • it's just so heartbreaking that Pocahontas ended up with the other guy in the second film >< she and john have gone through so many things in the first film, and at last they were seperated. i was like WTF?????!!!!!! when i watched the second fim ==

  • was this a deleted scene or something? cuz i have never seen this part but i love it!! :D

  • @jasmined799 yea...it's a deleted scene in the VCD version. but it's a part of the movie in the 10th anniversary DVD version, which was released in 2005 :)

  • @mformelody oh that's cool :)

  • *cries* i miss all of the old disney movies the hottest men from disney was jonh smith, alladin, tarzan and the guy from mulan

  • Guys from disney are sooooo grogeous!

  • Comment removed

  • Disney should make more movies like this, even teens still love movies like this.

  • gosh. i miss these kind of disney movies T^T I was freaking 7 years old when i watched Pocahontas and i didn't understand a thing...Now I'm 16 and I fully understand the movie and I'm crying my eyes out!!! I love this movie soo much...why didn't they end up together T^T soo heart breaking...

  • at this point of the movie i was in tears but convinced that, after that duet, they would get together in the end. boy was i disappointed. so when i heard a sequel was out i went to see it and was even more disappointed by it. some of my friends and i (even some mothers lol) wrote to disney expressing their anger at the ending of the sequel. they replied 'we apologise for any inconvenience caused' and i was like 'WHAT ABOUT THE CHARACTERS? THEY SUFFERED QUITE A BIT OF INCONVENIENCE @£*&HEADS!!!'

  • @AnimeRox52898 yes she does she marries john rolph but in real life she also married john rolph but she dies on the ship back to america. :(

  • I haven't watched the second pocahontas movie yet so i'm confused. Does she marry a different man because if she does i will be very upset

  • oh my gosh i am seventeen next month and I am BAWLING MY FREAKIN EYES OUT! I loooove this movie soooo much! It beats out titanic, and all the Disney movies...except maybe tangled..no it beats out tangled too! Best couple EVER!

  • I truly wish Pocahontas would have chose to be with John Smith... This moment shows how much they mean to each other and it seems as if they can't go on without one another. Bah, I'm reading too deeply into things as usual, but even if historically it isn't quite as romantic (at all), I wish they had ended up together.

  • i cannot beleive that is mel gibson!

  • ahhhhhh I just cried! I'm freaking 17 years old! I shouldn't be crying at a Disney movie!

  • @EnjoysEggs don't worry. my friends and i are 14/15 and we still cry like babies at pocahontas............and a whole load of other disney movies.

  • I think the whole rolfe thing was based on true events, cos I remember reading somewhere that the real pocahontas married another guy when she went to england.

  • omg... i have seen pocahontas but how come i didnt see this part??? SHIT... I bought an original version but it's been "CUT"

  • everyvtime i watch or listen to this song i cry because i think about my girl friend eventhough i dont love her right now n im not in luv with her i still cry and i also think about my ex which was my first love and i cry

  • this song makes me cry.... when i watch this i feel like i'm pocahontas and it's me who's true love is tied up and sentenced to death... it's so heartbreaking... I LOVE YOU JOHN SMITH!

  • i heard Mel Gibson refused to be Smith on the Sequel because she ended with Rolfe... and.... he is goddamn right ;/

    i hated the sequel

  • @ricardomoraes92 Same, I can't even watch it, it just sucks!

  • @ricardomoraes92 You just cant sing this song and let that happen.

  • My movie does not have this beloved heart-breaking scene!! My soundtrack on tape does not have it either!! It is sooo NOT FAIR!!

  • @Scoutpower1 i know exactly what you mean!! i think this part was done just for the remastered version or something, the old one doesnt have it!

  • i always cry at these sorts of songs:'( <3

  • i love this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and she was better off with john smith!!!!! rolfe is cute, but these two have more memories! <3

  • WOW i have this taped on a old VHS and ever since i was little it allways skipped and lagged at this part so to me this is a completly new part of the movie o.o xDD

had seriously no idea they sing a song here, thats so sweet :D

  • @mugtisersold rofl just realised this was a edit version woopsies xD

  • No no. No tears! Awww a million thumbs and lighters up. Disney is spectacular, fantastic, only one, BEST,, ive seen all Disney's movies. from birth to my age as of now. I LOVE YOU DISNEY!!

  • Hands down, best disney love scene

  • I don't get why they set up this romance only to crush it in the sequel.

  • My Girlfriend has been beside me throughout all of my chemotherapy and I'm going to sing her the first part of the song to her on V-day :)

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE

  • the most amazing scene in this movie <3

  • I am ALWAYS crying in this moment.

  • I cried and she is better with smith not rolfe how is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry ugly!!!!!!!!!!

  • @CiarBoppySinging

Well they had her get with Rolfe in the end, because it is as History told it, not how Disney wanted it. Besides in the second movie I think Smith started to show some new colors.

  • @CiarBoppySinging yeaah, but the real pocahontas never had a romantic relationship with john tho, they met when she was very little and well, she did end up marrying rolf after all. Even so,for the sake of the disney pocahontas, she should have ended up with john:(

  • @CiarBoppySinging the real Pocahontas never had a romance with John Smith. She did save his life, but there was no romance. She married John Rolfe in real life. I didn't like that she did originally, until I learned the history behind it. Then I was annoyed how the first one is historically inaccurate.

  • I love this song. I cry almost every time I hear it b/c this song is so sad and meaningful. Even though I have been in "love", I hope one day to find a love as pure and true as this one.

  • they probaly diddn put this song in the movie cuz i ended up crying my eyes out wen it had finishd. and .... where is my john smith??? lolxx

  • 3:50 I got personally emotional at that part. ;-;

  • I'm going to be Pocahontas for halloween next year!

  • *Sighs* This was my absolute favorite Disney Movie when I was little right behind Aladdin and The Lion King. My mother had to buy me new copies because I watched the tapes so much they were stretched, you could hear the audio creaking in some spots and the wavy grey lines across the screen on the VHS. Lol. Thank God for DVD. Yes, I pop them in from time to time even though I'm in my twenties. lol.

  • HOW DARE YOU TWO PEOPLE NOT LIKE POCAHONTAS! D:<

  • I had to watch this in class and everyone made fun of the cheesyness. me: "YOUR ALL JUST JEALOUS" *starts singing along with the song*

  • Love this movie...I get teary eyed when I watch this scene, it's sooo beautiful! So glad I have the anniversary edition with this scene included and some extras on the other dvd! LOVE it, great job :)

  • I can't get over how sad and beautiful this scene and song is!!! the tears won't stop...

I thought our love would be so beautiful...

  • @MayumiDJ haha, neither will mine. ♥ so lovely.

  • @FlaheLuuh nice to see u can laugh about it :)

I feel all sad when I think about it..

  • @MayumiDJ what do you mean? Of course I feel sad. I'm sorry if my comment hurt your feelings S:

  • @FlaheLuuh oh not at all :)

It's just awful to feel like I'll never get over it..

I hope you find happiness and joy with the person who will love you most :)

  • @MayumiDJ ohwn, I know exactly how you feel... I've been through this now, and it hurts so bad. But, don't worry, you'll be fine. I'm not over it yet, but I'm sure I will. I'm absolutely sure that the person who did this to you doesn't deserve your love. You can count on me for anything (:

  • Even though we will never be together, I will never regret meeting you, cuz I really wouldn't have had a clue what true love could look like..

So thank you, for being the most precious memory I will ever had...

  • This is one of the most beautiful Disney songs ever. XD It's time I rewatch the Disney classics again.....

  • i hate that she ends up with Rolfe >.<

  • @PirateWizardRebel I know! I wish they didn't follow the legend (or real story, if it was really true)..

  • @jokimiko10101 it was the real story pocahontas was like 9 or ten when she met john smith. IDK about you but rocking the cradle isn't my style

  • waw just beautiful !!!

  • okay so maybe john isnt best singer but this scene is just sooo cute!!!!

  • John sings so gay in the English verison..

    The Norwegian is better.

  • i love this song and im kinda upset its not in the movie.....at lease the movie i saw

  • i cry everytime i watch this i love this song because it is so true and i have felt this way before and still do for that cetain person. <3

  • such a bittersweet song. i love it soooo much. great movie

  • 2nd movie ruined their love....... :/

  • Ah... I'm sorry guys, but this song does not belong in here...

  • i listen to this song at least thee times a day i just love it!!!!!!!! i wish i could marry this song. respect pocahontas <3

  • I'm crying ='(

  • MEL! LOL

  • wat sucks is that the second movie is more accurate since she really did marry the other John in real life...>.> i like her with John Smith better, and this song proves it

  • i love this move its opens doors for afraican american women and women alike who dreamed of being with a white man or fell in love with a white man in this movie she falls for a white man or an american man this movie is so close to home when ever i watch this movie i cry i miss derek but like goes on right so i love this movie

  • Ooo I love the font you used - which one is that, may I ask?

  • @headbanger1313 you may ask, of course, but i don't really remember which font I used, because it has been like a year and half I made it, and I didn't save the project so I can't tell you, I'm sorry. I really wished I could help.

  • john smith man that name was probably used by so many pirates and outlaws whats your name sir uhhhhhhh john smith

  • Gosh I love this song! I'm kiiinda glad they didn't put it in the movie though because I would be crying my eyes out :)

  • is this even in the movie? i dont remember i havent watched this movie in quite a long time...

  • i love this song

because it is true i am nothing without you, my love

and whatever happens to me, i'll always be with you....forever....

  • boo john rolfe

  • Who agrees John Smith looks like Tom Cruise?!

  • this version was nice

  • I like this version better than the one with Jon Secada and Shanice. I feel like it has more feeling in it (:

  • wonderful song :)

  • pocahontas...is...not...a...princess! But she is beutiful along with her voice

  • I agree with twilightgirl215

  • who sings this? i only find the john secada version

  • @Skodvain The one here singing John Smith's part is Mel Gibson but I don't know where to find his version :( ... I want it so badly too. I do prefer this version more and more that Secada's.

  • who sings this? download link? please, anyone

  • @MelcyBbz4Eva

No your not the only one Pocahontas is one of my favroite princess

  • I wish I had a singing partner to do this, and I can't reach the highest notes! :P Good though

  • o my gosh i love this song and i cry when i listen to it cuz its almost like it was written for me and ryan because we cant be together for many reasons were so close but we cant see eachother

  • i never heard this song in the movie but i fall in love with this

i have to buy a special edition

    i love it

  • i searched this song to get the lyrics but i had no idea until now that this scene existed! now i have to buy the special version to get it lol i love this song so much!! <3 they're so cute together! ^^

  • Am i the only one who loves Pocahontas, but feels she c ould have been at least a little more upset when she left him...I mean, she didn't even give him a kiss...I would have been crying my eyes out if it were me...

  • @MelcyBbz4Eva No you're not the only one.. I also thought John would have fought for her more too.

  • @FlyAwayTaipa lol yeah maybe, but i still feel he acted more upset than she did...

  • @MelcyBbz4Eva I guess she was trying to be strong or something...

  • @hinasakukimi i guess so, but still...

  • WOAH WOAH WOAH! Since when was this apart of the movie?! I swear I never saw this part in the movie.

  • I think this was a deleted scene.

  • That's because this was a deleted scene.

  • They put it in the movie for part of the special edition. i was shocked when i saw it, but i love this song now.

  • @xnickybx they deleted it from the original movie, but it has been added to the newer versions of the movie on dvds and stuff. I like it....

  • Wow, I have the Pocahontas DVD, but I've never seen this version of this scene! It's nice! :) Thanks for posting.

  • :')

  • twilightgirl215 haha yeah your right!

she was 12 and he was like 40 something. n he like sold her away to this guy called john rolfe (he's in the second movie) so this movie is waaay off what happened in real life XD still an amazing disney movie though

  • Haha! So true about them not being accurate! But John Smith truly did care for her. He didn't sell her. After he'd gone back to England, she was kidnapped and forced to convert to Christianity and change her name to Rebecca and marry John Rolfe. She did grow to love him though after they had the first child born in the New World (besides the natives I mean). Her name was Virginia (which is not a coincidence as to why the state of Virginia is called Virginia). I love history. :D

  • oh yeah your right :D thanks

  • They didn't have a kid named Virigina. She only had one child, a son named Thomas Rolfe.

  • It's a great scene, but the singing quality is so much lower than on the other songs...wish they'd put more time into this and left it in.

  • you know..this actually happened.....i have the biography of her:)

  • Y is this NOT in the movie?! Its AMAZING!!!!!!!

  • This song reminds me of City of Angels.

  • OMG....i love this song....it makes me cry always...i don´t understand how Disney never put it on the original movie....IT´S A CLASSIC...VERY EMOTIONAL!!!

  • i cried while watching this.

  • lol i cried 2

  • LOL this is my fave movie! ive loved it since i was 2!

  • i don't remember this song in the movie but then again its been like 5 years since i've seen it. but its a beautiful song and i love the two of them together and i don't like how they separate in the second movie!

  • In the old version of this, the scene was in it. It was really nice.

  • i love this film. but what kinda weird is that she was twelve when he was forty. and i hate pocahontas with john rolf, she needs to be john smith.

  • OH Lord is that true thats discusting

  • serisouly, if they like were atually together in real life... ew.

  • @twilightgirl215 lol they were in real life XD they were married and i think had kids

  • no! they were? she was with john rolfe right?????? that's what i thought.

  • O_O lmfao i dont remember XD

  • haha

  • Yes, she was married to John Rolfe. She had... one kid..? I think....... A boy! And I forget his name. But, she died around twenty-two from smallpox... Sadly, enough... And John Smith was twenty-seven and she was twelve when they met! Just to let ya know. : ) And even though the legend between her and John is probably false it is still such a gorgeous story even if you have to bend history a bit.... : )

  • You'll get no arguments from me. :-)

  • I'm glad you feel the same!! I don't like it when people don't appreciate the story just because it isn't entirely accurate... It's still wonderful. : )

  • Yeah it's, in my opinion, one of the best Disney movies ever!

  • Indeed! Finally a Disney drama without a "happily ever after"!

  • Right, it's a real story without it being corny.

  • @LoquaciousInkSlinger Ouch, somebody has drama with Disney Magic? Lol. J/K. I know it does seem that way doesn't it? (All the happliy ever after's), but hey it's cute when your a kid and gives your heart a warm feeling when your an adult. Plus it kind of makes life a little easier to deal with when it's going south. Disney Magic is like that. Special !! : )

  • @LoquaciousInkSlinger umm have you ever seen the second movie??? it is "happily ever after" she kinda goes back with him

  • @lovelife4ever4

no she goes to rolfe....thats not good

  • @lovelife4ever4 that's different. the second move COMPLETELY sucked so you just automatically have to disregard that movie

  • @LoquaciousInkSlinger

What do you mean by finally? This was made in 1995 -- 16 years ago.

  • i think she was fourteen when they met, but you probably have searched it more than me ^^

  • I've read that she was many ages! I don't think anyone really knows for sure. : )

  • @LoquaciousInkSlinger I heard from a historian in Jamestown while I was visiting that she was roughly 12-13 and when they met, she was short, bald, and naked. No joke. If anything, their bond was probably more father-daughter than anything. Whether or not there was a romance there, we dont know cuz she was forced to change her name to Rebecca, convert to Christianity, marry John Rolfe, and have the first kid born in the New World, named Virginia. All accuracy aside, I love this movie and song.

  • The same here! I adore this movie even though it's not accurate! It really is a gorgeous legend. : )

  • @LoquaciousInkSlinger Actually, Pocahontas and John Rolfe had a baby girl, the first child born in the New World (except from the Native Americans). Her name was, you guessed it, Virginia! XD :D

  • I had no clue it was a girl! Thank you for telling me. : )

  • No problem. :) My dad, brothers and I are history buffs. :] History makes the world go round. And that aint no joke cuz history repeats itself. :D Yet, we never learn. -.- XD

  • yup you are right

  • By Dates and the time in Jamestown Smith was 28-29 and Pocahontas was 13-14 which is still weird .. but what ppl dnt kno is John Rolfe is Only 5 years younger than Smith so you can see y they'd make a romance + its a more interesting story + i too think Disney should've just left it Personally after all the build up.

    Love the deleted Scene :)
