No It doesn't. An Underdog is more... picture yourself a long jump competition, where jumper A is the favourite. Jumper B is gonna challenge A for the victory but most people think B will lose. B is the underdog

@lioness77777 The underdog is the person in a contest who is a) less likely to be successful, b) does not have as many strengths as the other party or c) is handicapped relative to the other party. It is often used in sports to refer to a team with a weaker record playing a stronger team. Metaphorically it can be extended in society to people without the advantages of the upper class.
