What the heck are you talking about? Rock is not only American, it's a universal genre. If music and vocals like this were in the main stream in Russia, it would actually be worth spending time listening to Russian music. Unfortunatelly, right now it is filled with freaken pop and over produced, talentless people. I'm gonna go back and listen to Nightwish, After Forever, Epica, and Evanescense now.

Clearly, feeling sorry for other people's taste is a hobby of yours, where you can actually spend your energy doing something else. The bands i've listed write and play their own music, they don't hire other people to write for them. And their leading singers can sing.
