It was a lot more serious than she wants people to believe.
She was sadly addicted to cocaine and ultimately that is what mostly sent her to rehab.
I just wish she wasn't so afraid to admit and discuss it to the public..

She's so honest and brave. Not everyone would sit in Ellen's chair talking about their past and the things they regret, giving tips to young girls! It's mind-blowing how a young woman like her can be so mature and brave.
I was a fan of her music a long time ago and the day I heard she was cutting yourself I was so worried about her, but I knew that she was strong! I'm so proud of her.

I was never a fan of her, nor her music. But this interview really made me respect her a lot.She was so brave, talking about those things. And I think these topics need to be discussed more in public. These topics need more attention, cause self distruction is a very serious illness. Too bad, most people see this illness only as "a crazy phase of a young person". Thank you,Demi for speaking up!

Demi is my true inspiration.. i hate how most teenagers just put her aside because she was on disney channel..so they think shes uncool. my bestfriend told me im just like her. we struggled with the same things and Demi actually helped me get through this. I respect Demi Lovato a lot for this... It takes great courage to go up on television and tell everbody about your past. And she really seems honest in this interview - no lies, no dramatization. It's just her and her story. It's really great that a young person can be so brave and sincere. I've always been a personal fan of her music, but now I really respect her as a person as well...

I just feel so blessed not to have gone through these things and for all the people who do go through these things, i feel so badly for you. I cannot stress how important it is to speak up, just like Demi said. Talk to somebody, anybody. Remember you are special and those thin girls on the magazines, they're nothing to idolize..they may look perfect posing, but inside they're probably just as bad as Demi used to be..its so sad..i love you Demi!

She's so cool, so confident and I love her so much for doing what she does. I was just on the verge of considering skipping all my meals tomorrow, feeling guilty for having a burger. Seeing her walk out on stage, healthy and smiling is just so inspiring. Thank you for being there for me, Demi. It's only a small thing, but it means the world after the hell I've put myself through before.
