@MuslimahCute It was narrated that 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'Aas said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) saw 'Ali wearing two garments dyed with safflower and said: "These are garments of the kuffaar; do not wear them." Narrated by Muslim, 2077. 4.

very Beautiful voice, May Allah(swt) now give him the strengh and courage to grow a beard like our prophet, and wear the sunna clothing. Amen Ya Rabal Aalameen!
@MuslimahCute we can, to an extent. if a person wears punky clothes we know what they like and it defenitley not the sunnah but then if a brother has the sunnah look but maybe his character is not sunnah, not our job to judge but we still do coz generally you are what u dress

By the way Catholics have 67 books, not chapters eg: Mark, Luke, John etc. Muslims have Chapters because it was sent down by ONE (Allah).
PURE ARABIC LANGUAGE: we must decide which one among 7 qira'at of the koran is the one pure arabic language
BOOKS OR CHAPTERS...okay the koran has chapters and bible books...you know maybe that Mohamed taught that sunna and koran should be read togheter because we can find the better understanding of koran. how many books do we have with hadiths:dawood, just bukhari 15 volumes, etc. The bible has all in one volume:word of God and hadith. we have more book than the bible has. isn'it?
your answer convince me to leave islam now. you are scarry . what you are saying is that islam is religiono not-thinking...sorry God has giving us the brain to discern truth from lies.because of your I LEAVE ISLAM AND READ THE BIBLE, WORD OF GOD!! true word of God. Do not say that the Holy Bible has 66 books, we have thousands of books besuide the koran. Jesus is Lord!!
@hanifilmoro - my friend, I never believed you were ever a Muslim to begin with. Just like Paul said do what ever it takes to try to convert them, right. Even if it takes pretending to be something your not.
1) 'Tukja', is the ipocrisy to let believe people that islam is peace...tukja all the times is trying to convert non muslims...you now feel what it means and shameful is x ALL OF YOU WHO PRACTICE 'TUKJA' you do it all the times isn't it?? and you have the ipocricy to judge? I laugh about you, foolish you're!
the problems with 7 korans still remain. You have thousand of hadiths beside the koran and the one you read you are not sure is the one real!!
@hanifilmoro its crazy to believe that someone who seems to have a big problem with a problems supposedly in a book that you decide to follow the bible. A book filled with contadictions and pointless accounts that don't match other books of the bible. saying oh which of these arabic styles are proper but yet the bible contains no ties to the original words of jesus it seems as though a infant was the proof reader for your book of God.
your answer convince me to leave islam now. you are scarry . what you are saying is that islam is religiono not-thinking...sorry God has giving us the brain to discern truth from lies.because of your I LEAVE ISLAM AND READ THE BIBLE, WORD OF GOD!! true word of God. BROTHER MUHAMMAD i AM NOT SAYING HE WAS A TRUE PROPHET WHO MADE MONEY AND BOOTY WITH RELIGION...KORAN IN SANAA DEMONSTRATE THIS. 7 LETTERS...CAMON...IS NOT TOO COMPLICATES THIS STORY? WAS SOMENONE ELSE AND NOT OUR MOHAMMED WHO TOLD THIS...
we dont do business with photo and statue of jesus to be sold in market for less a penny...ha...ha...common idols worshippers .leave us alone...your heart are sealed...poor..poor...shhhuuuuutttt

May Allah Bless this youth and lead him to be a great imam and example for our communities in America. May Allah bless his parents and those who support and encourage him to be a good Muslim in America and bring change in our communities in America.
whitekudu - I will make sure I submit your threats to the authorities along with your IP address. If you only knew how serious they take the threat you just made. especially since the school next door is a childrens elementry school.
Please brothers stop arguing bout beard,hats...we dont need that now...would be much better to go dhikr or read Kur'an than arguing here...Look at brothers in Palestine how do they live? It's like we just don't care about them,we argue about beard thats important...jazakallahu khairoon
vkool007 - he's a close friend of mine and he can not grow a beard. Prophet Muhammed PBUH said give your muslim brother 70 excuses before you place judgment on him. Inshallah you did as you do not know the cercumstances of his beard, clothes and cap.
brother, i appreciate you stressing the importance of the beard, do not make these assumptions though, some people at age 22 can not grow out their beard. I know a brother who is in his early 20s and has no facial hair whatsoever. please do not make these assumptions and claims. plus, its not like the salat was invalidated.

''ALLAHU akbar??''
Am also kinda confuse the way he and some the poeple are praying.. When it said 'ALLAHU akbar'' shouldn't one's fingertip touch the ear??
Like the man in middel are doin, between the boy and the the man with blue shirt??. There's also another way that I had been teacht, which i dont see in that clip.. ALLAH a'lam..
665210 ....2nd: First, it should be noted that all the maddhab's agree that the issue of raising the hands is not one of halal and haram; rather it is one of superiority.Imams Abu Hanifah and Malik rahimahullah say that one must raise the hand once at takbir only,Ash Shafi'i rahimahullah says that it is preferable to raise the hands before ruku and and after it.There are many hadith against raising hands while praying.e.g.....continued>
665,210. ..... eg. "Hazrat Ibn Jaabir Samurah (radhiallahu anhu) relates that once Rasulullah (pbuh) came out of his house towards us and said:" Why is it that I see you all raising your hands as though they are the tails of stubborn horses. Be tranquil in salah. "[Sahih Muslim, Hadith 430] As far as it is concerned or raising hands till ears, its also not supported by Hadith Sahih Muslim, "Ch 9. It is recommended to raise the hands level with the shoulders when saying the opening Takbir.
665210 w.salam. I want to correct your belief a bit here. Beard is not what differs us from a kafir, if it was so, then the beard would have been "Farz" not "sunnah".
Jabir bin Abdullah says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) saying this: The difference between a man (Muslim) and shirk and kufr is the abandoning of salaah.
(Sahih Muslim: Kitab ul Iman: Book 001, Number 0147)
masha'Allah the brother recites nicely, may Allah bless him. I just feel a bit odd as it feels like the are prostrating to me when i see it and kinda freaks me out, i know they are not ..i'm just saying ... overall masha'Allah the brother recites nice,

so if it is wajib to keep a beard then do you still say it is only 'PREFFERED' to lead salah with a beard. It is all about using common sense. If the prophet pbuh who was a mercy to humanity did not look at those 2 leaders for shaving their face. Then try to use you brain as to think how he would react if a person was leading Salah which is a way of communicating to Allah. Being a muslim means you submit to ALLAH. IF you have not kept a beard out of own desire then u have not Submitted to Allah
So basically what your saying is that the underlying component that decides a Muslim is their beard... wow makes so much sense!!! Any man can lead salah, regardless of their beard. But, like I said let's worry about more important things...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
no im saying the underlying FACTOR that makes a muslim is submission to Allah and the ways of the Prophet PBUH. Dont try to twist my words and add sarcasm and humour to avoid the meanin of what i said please its what ignorant people do. Yes their are other more important things goin on but does that mean we can start crossin off laws of the shariah???
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Look brothers i agree 100% that Islam is all about intention
I am not critisisin this brotha
I have a beard and he doesnt but i know he is thousands time of a better muslim than i am and im not jus sayin that.
But in Taleemul Haq it says you have to have a beard to lead salat.
So the point is, that it is breakin the rulin of shariah and thats full stop. Im not critisisin him im jus sayin we cant break the rules of islam no matter what. WE hear and we Obey. end of story
You are mistaken. It is PREFERRED that a bearded Imam should lead salah, nothing more nothing less.
Also, it is sad that you bring something like this up. Let's worry about important things for Muslims everywhere, not these trivial things that shouldn't even be mentioned.. Come on.
You obviously haven't seen the respect some of the greatest shuyukh in the world have for this man. Qari youussef is beyond both of our understands, go see him in person as i did today and you'll understand. besides, maybe he can't grow one... his brother barely can, also another great Shaykh and reciter. iA ill make dua for your criticism to leave your heart, look at yourself... not anyone else.
Jazakallah for posting. Beautiful recitation but why do you read the third ayat of al fatiha as maliki it is supposed to be maaliki as there is an alif which indicates a tiny bit of extension no matter which style you are reading. Please correct me if am wrong

Hello,
Please Youssef I would like you to verify for surat Al Ghashya, aya 11, if it is "la tousma3ou fiha laghya" as you've read, or "la tasma3ou fiha laghya".
ronierserge - Hello brother and jazakAllah Khair for your question. Youssef is actually a good friend of mine but if you would like to ask him direct here's his site on youtube:
It's not called warsh. It is called the narration of Warsh from Naafi'. This is because Naafi' taught Imam Warsh this recitation.
The riwaya of Imam Warsh from Nafi' al-Madini from Abu Ja'far Yazid ibn al-Qa'qa' from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas from Ubayy ibn Ka'b from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, from Jibril from the Creator
rakumoni - hello brother, he is reciting using the style of Warsh which is one of the I believe 7 different styles of reading the Quran that the Prophet PBUH taught. If your not sure what Warsh is please email me and I'll give you some information about it. JazakAllah Khair.
:) ...may you be rewarded insha'Allah for the 'adhab with which you replied to my concern, brother.
...and ia'udhubillah, i did not mean to merely criticize the qari, but...but in my observation of warsh, and just all other recitations, hafs, etc. the base tajweed of the letters remained constant. here lets take another Moroccan qari for example, when Sheikh 'Abdelkareem recites in warsh, the pronunciation of his 'ra' and 'qaf' remain as are classically pronounced. wallahu'alim.
rakumoni - hello brother and thank you for your comment and may Allah reward you for your kind words. I noticed you speak of Abdelkareem, did you know that this man in the video is Abdelkareems brother? Subhanallah, how do you know him.
Have you learned warsh with someone? The difference you notice in Ra the Qaf and ir might be due to a different rule.
Regardless, he might very well have an Ijaza in warsh and if you have not studied Warsh with a teacher; kindly do not criticise. And if you have, then you know the rules of speaking of specific knowledge in front of everyone (to create confusion), specially if the mistake is in La7n Khafi (not easily noticed).
Assalamu alaikum, Allah (swt) judges people according to how much taqwa you have. The successful are those with the highest taqwa. What is in people's heart only Allah (swt) knows but there are some outer signs. Many people misunderstand the hadith "actions are by intentions". In every action there are the fard and the rest. Why strive beyond the fard? People who lead the prayer etc are our leaders. They represent the best of us. Do the best of us only follow the fard and nothing beyond?
It's so sad why some muslims like to argue about the trivialities of the 'Deen' while there're more important matters. Allaah doesn't care about our beards. He cares about the condition of our hearts. The best amongst us is the one that has the highest regard for Allaah, not the one with the thickest or longest beard. I've seen some brothers arguing against wearing jeans or not keeping the 'Thawb' (pants) short. I ask you, can anybody wear an above-ankle pant in a freezing winter weather?
yea, the Taliban wear sandals in the snowy mountains, at least we will still have socks :D
The best amongst us are those that have the highest regard for Allah, true, and they are the ones that try their best to follow the sunnah of Rasulullah sallahu alayhi wa salam, both outwardly and inwardly.
Allah Azza wa jal says Illalathina Amaanu wa Amilusalihat, atwasaw bil Haq watawasw bis Sabr.
I.e. Iman then follow it u with actions true faith is reflected in the limbs the brother might have a skin condition and t is Fardh to keep the bear it is only Sunnah in Legislation i.e. Fardh
Islam not growth from the beard but from heart (yakin). The muslim today went tumble up and down because this kind of tinking.(Jumud) Beard does not efect the iman. You can grow the beard if you want that good because you follow sunnah but if you doesnt want its okay too.Beard does not efect the iman.Sorry my brothers of Islam. Please dont get angry but this is true. may Allah (swt) grant us tawfeek. Allah already give us the Tawfeek.
If the brother is a Hafiz and he shaves his beard than thats not proper as a beard is one of the rules for being an imam. How can you shave your beard when you have the Quran in your heart and Allah (swt) clearly states in the Quran that if you love him than obey and follow the messenger (saw)? Rasoolullah commanded every man to let the beard flow and to trim the moustache. Also in all 4 madhabs, it is haram to shave or trim the beard lest than fist length...may Allah (swt) grant us tawfeek
You are right. Many scholars view the beard as obligatory. This means IF YOU CAN grow it then YOU are not allowed to shave it off. However, it's important that the Imam leading the Salah knows the Qur'an. Knowing the Qur'an is not simply being a Haafiz but also knowing the dues, rights, rules, and regulations of the arabic letters and words (i.e. tajweed). The application of Tajweed is fardh. This I BELIEVE (please research) takes precedence over the beard. Take care akhi. Assalamualaikum
Warsh style is one of the 10 styles of recitation. I think there is 14 but 10 which are authentically proven from the Sunnah. From 7 imaams who had 2 recitation styles each. The meanings become different but it is still part of the Quran for example in Hafs an 'Aasim what most of the world recite we say "Maaliki yawmid-deen." Meaning Master of the day of judgement. In Warsh its said "Maliki yawmid-deen." Meaning Owner of the day of judgement.
La hawla waalaa kuwata illbillaaa. You my friend are the inspiration for youth in this country. Im 19 and just now coming back to this deen. I want to be at your level inshallah.
someone notice many of them use the daily dress like for office, and other building... every masjid in saudi arabia use dress for masjid (not daily dress)
Islam dictates HOW we dress not WHAT we dress. Anyone to suggest that we should all dress in traditional clothing because of it being part of Islam is entirely wrong.
MashAllah, i LOVE praying behind this incredible Shaykh. His voice is a blessing for us all from Allah Ta'ala! May Allah preserve this wonderful Shaykh and his beautiful recitation for many, MANY years to come!

@hanifilmoro - If the problem you have with Islam is the way a certain recitation is done, then this is not really a problem.
If you believe that Muhammed PBUH is the prophet of Allah, then you would have no problem accepting what he said.
If not, then this conversation would be meaningless because it wouldn't matter what he said as you wouldn't believe it any way.
I think the problem is not the rewayat, as that is a pointless argument. Since we know that it doesn't change the Quran.

665210 w.salam. I want to correct your belief a bit here. Beard is not what differs us from a kafir, if it was so, then the beard would have been "Farz" not "sunnah".
Jabir bin Abdullah says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) saying this: The difference between a man (Muslim) and shirk and kufr is the abandoning of salaah.

so if it is wajib to keep a beard then do you still say it is only 'PREFFERED' to lead salah with a beard. IF you have not kept a beard out of own desire then u have not Submitted to Allah
abbasusaim 2 years ago
So basically what your saying is that the underlying component that decides a Muslim is their beard... wow makes so much sense!!! Any man can lead salah, regardless of their beard. But, like I said let's worry about more important things...

no im saying the underlying FACTOR that makes a muslim is submission to Allah and the ways of the Prophet PBUH. Dont try to twist my words and add sarcasm and humour to avoid the meanin of what i said please its what ignorant people do. Yes their are other more important things goin on but does that mean we can start crossin off laws of the shariah???

Look brothers i agree 100% that Islam is all about intention
I am not critisisin this brotha
I have a beard and he doesnt but i know he is thousands time of a better muslim than i am and im not jus sayin that.
But in Taleemul Haq it says you have to have a beard to lead salat.
So the point is, that it is breakin the rulin of shariah and thats full stop. Im not critisisin him im jus sayin we cant break the rules of islam no matter what. WE hear and we Obey. end of story
abbasusaim 2 years ago
You are mistaken. It is PREFERRED that a bearded Imam should lead salah, nothing more nothing less.
Also, it is sad that you bring something like this up. Let's worry about important things for Muslims everywhere, not these trivial things that shouldn't even be mentioned.. Come on.

That is how the word is recited in the style of recitation known as Warsh.
MalteseFalcon786 2 years ago 8
in warsh recitation the alif is excluded... so it is read maliki. Even in the mushaf of Imam Warsh the alif is excluded
whereas in hafs it is read maaliki i.e. in the alif... i hope that explains

:) ...may you be rewarded insha'Allah for the 'adhab with which you replied to my concern, brother.
...and ia'udhubillah, i did not mean to merely criticize the qari, but...but in my observation of warsh, and just all other recitations, hafs, etc. the base tajweed of the letters remained constant. here lets take another Moroccan qari for example, when Sheikh 'Abdelkareem recites in warsh, the pronunciation of his 'ra' and 'qaf' remain as are classically pronounced. wallahu'alim.
rakumoni 2 years ago

isalhia 2 years ago
Assalam-u-Alaikum,
Dear Rakumoni,
Have you learned warsh with someone?

I ask you, can anybody wear an above-ankle pant in a freezing winter weather?
ebraco30 3 years ago
yea, the Taliban wear sandals in the snowy mountains, at least we will still have socks :D
The best amongst us are those that have the highest regard for Allah, true, and they are the ones that try their best to follow the sunnah of Rasulullah sallahu alayhi wa salam, both outwardly and inwardly.

I.e. Iman then follow it u with actions true faith is reflected in the limbs the brother might have a skin condition and t is Fardh to keep the bear it is only Sunnah in Legislation i.e. Fardh
AbuMazinIbnNalir 3 years ago 2
Islam not growth from the beard but from heart (yakin). The muslim today went tumble up and down because this kind of tinking.(Jumud) Beard does not efect the iman. You can grow the beard if you want that good because you follow sunnah but if you doesnt want its okay too.Beard does not efect the iman.Sorry my brothers of Islam. Please dont get angry but this is true. may Allah (swt) grant us tawfeek. Allah already give us the Tawfeek.
borhan21 3 years ago
If the brother is a Hafiz and he shaves his beard than thats not proper as a beard is one of the rules for being an imam. How can you shave your beard when you have the Quran in your heart and Allah (swt) clearly states in the Quran that if you love him than obey and follow the messenger (saw)? Rasoolullah commanded every man to let the beard flow and to trim the moustache. Also in all 4 madhabs, it is haram to shave or trim the beard lest than fist length...may Allah (swt) grant us tawfeek
jushtr 3 years ago 2
Maybe he doesn't have beardgrowth? Think before you judge brother. Wassalaam.
braskovc 3 years ago 4
can anyone tell how old is he? wat i am trying to get to is that shouldnt the imam be havin a beard (an important Sunnah)?
abdulsalam08 3 years ago
You are right. Many scholars view the beard as obligatory. This means IF YOU CAN grow it then YOU are not allowed to shave it off. However, it's important that the Imam leading the Salah knows the Qur'an. Knowing the Qur'an is not simply being a Haafiz but also knowing the dues, rights, rules, and regulations of the arabic letters and words (i.e. tajweed). The application of Tajweed is fardh. This I BELIEVE (please research) takes precedence over the beard. Take care akhi. Assalamualaikum

MuayThaiSu 3 years ago
As Salama Aleykum,
Brother, Warsh is one of the styles that the Quran is read, to explain it other way.
Most reciters read only (Hafz an Asim), and you may be reading only that style.
There's 10 Qiraa'aat, they all correct but they follow different rules of Tajweed and Pronounciation.
More details you can check Qiraa aat, and in islamway you can listen different styles of recitations.
Ws wr wb.
habiib555 3 years ago 2
Brother habib the Tajweed is a bit different? when he said "Qad aflaha man tazakka" he didnt do qalqala on the dal from "Qad" ?
tasneefm 3 years ago
If you listen carefully, you can see the difference the way he is using the hamz, and the R, warsh removes the Hamz for the most part.
Wa Jazaaakallahu kheyr.
habiib555 3 years ago
Warsh style is one of the 10 styles of recitation. I think there is 14 but 10 which are authentically proven from the Sunnah. From 7 imaams who had 2 recitation styles each. The meanings become different but it is still part of the Quran for example in Hafs an 'Aasim what most of the world recite we say "Maaliki yawmid-deen." Meaning Master of the day of judgement. In Warsh its said "Maliki yawmid-deen." Meaning Owner of the day of judgement.
