  • Beautiful song and video! Thanks from Hocking Hills, Ohio!

  • I`M FROM GERMANY AND I LOVE YOUR UNOFFICIAL STATE SONG !!!! LONG LIVE WEST VIRGINIA !! I´VE NEVER BEEN THERE, BUT ONE DAY , I WILL COME TO VISIT WEST VIRGINIA. THAT´S MY PROMISE TO YOU !!! GREETINGS FROM GERMANY TO THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE OF WEST VIRGINIA AND YOUR WONDERFUL STATE !!!

  • @Thorsten000 I've lived here all my life and have a good bit of German in my blood. Hope you get to visit this state and enjoy everything it has to offer. The music, the view, the culture and its people :D

  • @Thorsten000 Wilkommen! It's a lovely place with warm, welcoming people.

  • @rumezzo

Thank you !! I think so!

  • I always listen to this song when I'm homesick. I miss my hills and waterfalls. This song is so perfect.

  • Beautiful song!! Beautiful state!!

  • Very nicely done.

  • Is there anywhere I can download/purchase this song in a mp3 format?

  • Most beautiful song! First time I heard this song was @ the Clay Center, Charleston, WV. 2011

  • I cry every time I hear this song. They say most West Virginians spend the first half of their lives trying to get out of West Virginia and the second half trying to get back. I can't speak for anyone else, but that's certainly true in my case.

  • I will always love my home among the hills! Almost heaven, West By God Virginia!

  • @vonironbutterfly

A WVU Marching Band alumni? I just graduated from WVU as a member of the Marching Band. When we played this I always got choked up...still do.

  • @jkroach22 I heard this song for the first time today, beautiful song I'll be graduating from Marshall in Dec. I would be nice if they would sing this prior to or after every time Marshall-WVU play each other in football and basketball. Marshall plays all these songs that have nothing to do with WV, eventhough its a school in WV. no one sings country road in Huntington.lol

  • @Spamoy12 I agree, that would be nice. As an alumni of the Mountaineer Marching Band, I can never hear this song enough!

  • One of my favorites. :) WVWC's chorale has been singing this for upwards of 30 years now. We finished a lot of our concerts with it. Thanks for posting this!
