What is the point in doing an U /U' turn at the beginning or end of an algorithm?

I noticed he does it a couple of times, e.g. at the beginning of F and at the very end.

Is there a rule for PLL time attacks which way the patterns have to face? Coz I just do them as if the pattern was in the perfect starting position for the respective alg.

oh awesome i use the same N perms as he does =p i think harris has changed alot of these perms now with alternative ones. this was what done like 9 months ago, so i bet he knows like 40+/21 plls =)

its called PLL time attack. You do all the PLL algorithms as fast as you can. There are 21 of them, and he is telling us the order that he does them in.

I am having trouble with the G permutation could you tell me how you do it in words because you do it too fast in the video. My average is about 25 seconds because i take more than 10 seconds to do the last layer.

Harris, if the videos take up hard drive space, why not just delete them when you upload them? or convert them to MPEG or something to decrease it's size.
