@Paparmane You can have an empty stomach as long as you know what you're doing. This is typically a fat loss trick. The idea is that you do glycogen depleting workouts which are weights with rep ranges lasting over 1 or 2 minutes a set (high reps) with rest periods. Then wait an hour before having light meals (eat small meals 5-6 times a day). Coffee stimulates release of fatty acids, and afterburn of workout leads to fat loss as glycogen is replenished.
@vigilantezack So overall, if I wanna lose more fat, best thing to do is to work out on an empty stomach but with light weights and high reps? Also include some cardio and eat an hour after the workout? What about my protein shake, should I take it just after the workout? Thanks for the info.
@Paparmane If it's a low carb protein shake, drink it with your carbs an hour after the workout. If it's a higher carb shake, just drink it alone. The carbs create a rise in blood sugar, thus insulin response, the insulin pushes the nutrients into your muscle to rebuild. And not necessarily high rep, low weight, you could do high weight low rep, but do multiple exercises in a row with no rest. Such as curls to presses to tri extensions. As long as time under weight is about 2-3 mins no rest.

@Paparmane You can lose muscle because you've broken them down and not given them adequate nutrition to rebuild. You can also break down when there is no energy (glycogen) for them to use. Doing endless cardio can break down muscle due to release of cortisol which is a catabolic hormone that can cause muscle loss and other problems. I wouldn't worry about any of that, just eat good and lift heavy!

@Legendkilla05 Do you do cardio just for fun? Do you have a goal for it? Are you doing "tough" cardio to the point where you are breathing hard and elevating your heart rate for an extended period of time? Cardio like walking up and down a hill or taking a hike or a brisk walk is not bad. If you push yourself so you are out of breath a LOT, this is where cortisol (the stress hormone) begins to be released, which can break down muscle. @Legendkilla05 Do high intensity cardio work before and after weight training...if your caloric intake is sufficient, your body will not burn your muscles for energy....it will always burn fat for energy at first and then (if your diet isn't sufficient) will move on to burn muscle.

I like Vinnie, his videos are great and I've been watching them for quite a long time now and he's a cool cat but I don't like that he's introduced his wife Flavia into the mix. I'm a guy and I tune in to learn from a male trainer but bringing his girlie into the mix kinda feels like it's not us "guys" anymore, plus I can't learn from a woman. Kinda disappointed at this point that he's sorta changed.

im 17, and i lost some weight but i kinda got a fold of skin on the bottom of my belly
its not big or anything but i am about 17% body fat
i was wondering, from eating strict and doing HIIT cardio
will i still be able to get rid of that fat?
or will this always be there since it is extended skin you could say?
ive got abs i know that, they are slighty visible
