This President really has done a lot for the nation. Let's start with the stimulus package. It didn't create hardly any jobs, because economists don't recognize "jobs saved." Four million jobs were lost since he became president. AND the government now owns 31% of private industry up from 19% last year.
The stimulus bill is about 22% spent so far. The DOW has risen almost 4,000 pts since Obama took office; yet the unemployment climbs--what does this send? It says that the banks are releasing their bailout funds they are SUPPOSED to be giving out to small businesses ( the purpose of the bank bailout anyway ), so small business can hire workers, but they aren't. The banks are hoarding onto the $, SO don't blame Obama for any of it, blame the banks where blame should be placed upon.
Actually I can blame Obama for demanding that the stimulus package was required. He said that he needed the $753 billion dollars bill to avoid the unemployment rate from soaring to 10%. He said unemployment wouldn't pass 7.9% with his bill, and yet it's at 10.2% right now.

The current Health Care Bill being considered by Congress contains nearly 2,400 pages, creates 111 new agencies, and countless panels and committees.
It doesn't conform to any other successful working models of Health Care used by other Nations.
It will begin with an immediate increase in taxes, but it will not begin to provide services for over 3 years from now.

The stimulus bill is about 22% spent so far. The DOW has risen almost 4,000 pts since Obama took office; yet the unemployment climbs--what does this send? It says that the banks are releasing their bailout funds they are SUPPOSED to be giving out to small businesses ( the purpose of the bank bailout anyway ), so small business can hire workers, but they aren't. The banks are hoarding onto the $, SO don't blame Obama for any of it, blame the banks where blame should be placed upon.

Actually I can blame Obama for demanding that the stimulus package was required. He said that he needed the $753 billion dollars bill to avoid the unemployment rate from soaring to 10%. He said unemployment wouldn't pass 7.9% with his bill, and yet it's at 10.2% right now.

Over 70% of the American public WANT a public option. Now, some may be content ( not happy ) with what they have to settle for, but a public option is what is needed more than anything in the health reform bill, because the insurance companies need competition to keep them honest.
As for global warming, yes, some scientists don't believe in it, but there are thousands of others that do, and I don't mind paying more in taxes as long as it is put to good use ( unlike $ blown on Iraq. )

Justin, who did you hear this from? Obama will not raise taxes to anyone making less than 250K a year, that's what he said, and that's what he has stuck by.
In 1940's taxes were as high as 94% for those making 200K or more, now they pay 33%, the lowest it has ever been. So we are at a pretty good place right now as far as taxes. People need to get over this idea that taxes are bad, how else is the government supposed to provide services and infrastructure to the people?

Then we simply find ourselves at odds. I am all for building schools in other countries of the world, especially ones torn apart by wars we had a hand in. I do agree that our taxes do not always go to what they should, but that is the exact reason we elect officials that can correct that. One issue that can be corrected.....healthcare. I would be for paying more taxes to make sure there is a universal healthcare program in the USA, but none of the current plans even call for much of that.

The bill is over 1,000 pages long, has anyone read HR 3200 or any equivalent bill?... YEAH RIGHT. Dense legislation like this should never be passed. It's going to cost atleast 3 times as much as a the projection. I understand that there are people suffering out there but health insurance should be apart of the free market. This idea that the government can take care of all of us is something that I REFUSE to believe in.
