  • 7 shots of 357 should do the job,if not your just at the wrong place at the wrong time.If thats the case ill just run home and get my ar15 lol....

  • @texasbud100 You can"t argue that logic.

  • hey nice review (what a coincidence that we both started out youtube the same way) :)

  • Thanks for the review.

  • Bought the Tracker 627 4 inch about a month and half ago. Sweet shooter. Accurate and solid- love it....

  • Im from switzerland (19 Years old) and im considering to buy a Taurus model 66 Blue 357 magnum or a Taurus Tracker 627 357 Magnum Stainless steel wich one of these would you get considering that in switzerland you pay about 550 swiss francs (wich is nearly 1:1 witch dollar so 1 doller= 1 swiss franc) and the Tracker costs about 680 swiss francs

Thanks for any reply or suggestions.

  • im about to purchase the same gun you have the only difference is i want 6 1/2 inch barrel. my concern also was the grip, its to small for me and i have searched hogue grips but have found none for the 627 model. which grip did you choose?

  • I agree I cant stand seeing the chamber flipped back into place. The ammo could slide out a little and hit the frame.

  • hey i'm about to get me one of these but i'm on the ropes of either buying a 6.5 in or a 4in. I got other guns that I already use for Concealed carry, and I'm just buying this gun because I am a gun nut. What do you guys think?

  • Nice gun man.

  • @WoWJJProductionz Thanks I like it too. I just placed a down payment on a Ruger SR9 9mm pistol and will pick it up in about a month and make an unboxing video and a brief comment after I've put a couple hundred round through it.

  • You forgot to say and show how freakin beautiful this pistol is, I have the same one but i highly recomend using the 357 magnum ammo, a bit more costly but a real trill and acurate even at 25 yards. Just dont PO your neighbors at the range with the noise.

  • @hydrodude1976 I would love to splurge every now and then and practice with .357 ammo but the last couple of times the range that I go to was out of stock but I feel what you're saying.

  • Very nice pistol, thanks for sharing.

  • @adamacfile Thanks. I've since replaced the red front sight tip with white-out since the orig red tip came off while cleaning and tweaked the hammer and trigger so it's a lot smoother now.

  • HSK model 587-a off the CheaperThanDirt website but can probably be purchased from your nearest sporting goods or gun shop.

  • @OldeSkool1 haha hey thanks man. You oughta make a video of you shootin that beast, thanks again!

  • @Muffdiverboy I'm planning on buying a new HD cam as soon as I can afford one. Soon as I get it I'll shot some footage.

  • hey man, im curious. what brand and model is that speed loader you got? And if you dont mind telling me where you bought it from? I just ordered my 627 and was curious where you got your loader. great review!, thanks man!

  • @Muffdiverboy BTW, I dig your handle.

  • Finally owned one for a few months now and I have nothing to complain about other than that red tip is a piece of paper that will fake off after the first shot because of the ports at the end. Get some paint and good as new. Great gun all around. Can shoot 38 special all day long like a .22 but that 357 load kicks like no other. Great pull, very solid. I'm a semi auto guy (to each their own, my opinion) and wanted to own just one revolver. This is my baby.

  • what the difference between a taurus 66 and 627?

  • Taurus model 66 is a medium frame while the 267 is compact. also the barrel is ported on the 627. model 66 is cheaper, and stock grip shape.

  • I did a review of the 66.

  • @OldeSkool1 Actually, the model 66 is in the medium frame division of Taurus's revolver lineup. The model 627 is in the compact division, but still has a 7 round capacity.

  • correct me if I'm wrong but we are looking at the 4" maybe I missed you saying which one. Yeah the bad thing about new guns is the rough action until you break them in.

  • you're right I didn't mention the 4" barrel. Thanks.

  • nice gun, im gonna try and get the 6" model when i can, sucks you couldn't get your 8 shot one, California sucks with gun laws

  • @therealdestructicus Illinois, Chicago is far worse.

  • I like the Tauruc revolvers im not sold quit on their pistols. My gf mother had a pt 111 9mm that had a bur in the rail and when shot took a chunk of steel out of the rail. It was sent to Taurus 2 times and sent back with nothing fixed. The last time they just reblued the rail so the shiny spot was harder to see. Shiny spot as in where the chunk was taken out. Lifetime warranty dont mean they all that good about their warranty.

  • As with all companies you have to get on their ass to get any satisfaction. I've never had to deal with Taurus concerning any returns or repairs, yet. You probably have to get a little demanding.

  • yeah it wasnt my gun though.I would have been more agressive. I had a Problem with a T/C Triumph muzzleloader that had a barrel undersized sligtly. I sent the barrel in only to get the same one back. This didnt fly with me and i gave them an ear full. I got a brand new gun out of it though witha full replacement. No probs wit the new one.

  • Also i saw a barrel blow right off a taurus the yesterday on youtube and i hear they have many timing issues witht he cylinders. I wish they would step it up in quality some. I really like how they look but might not get one.Might just stick with the Smiths and rugers.

  • I've seen more Smith malfunctions on You Tube than Taurus. I'm not saying Smith's are a POS it just that every company has lemons. I saw the same vid and it's bs imo.

  • @monsterman27 How can u wish someone to step up in quality when you dont even own or have shot their brand? Maybe spend some time shooting a taurus and less time bashing them when you have no experience with them at all. I am very happy with my taurus revolver as well as my Rossi 20 gauge slug gun, thats made by taurus. They have been nothing but a joy for me, not to mention i spent a lot less vs. buying your typical S&W or Glock, Etc... Even the best companies have their lemons, thats a fact.

  • I was in the same situation. I wanted the 608 but CA says no. Lame. I got the 627 Tracker instead. I don't like the stock grip either. I'll have to get the hogue.

  • I know. Doesn't that suck about the 608? You won't regret using the hogue grip instead. Thanks for the kind word.

  • awesome review, you covered everything very well and i agree screw the taurus haters, i think that people dislike them because they're cheaper then other guns of the same class and they're made in brazil. great revolver it will be my next gun

  • Thanks for the kind word. Taurus bashers kill me with their "made in USA" bs when they know good and well the majority of everything they own was probably made in China including the underwear they're wearing.
