  • Its 2012, and ELVIS IS STILL THE KING.

    1-6-12

  • E L V I S, then and NOW, the COOLEST guy that ever lived.

    1-6-12

  • i miss elvis he whas the best

  • Despite his flaws you can see there is a kind person in there.

  • What a wonderful wonderful man- complimented that sweet little girl by saying "Isn't she pretty".... LORDY what a compliment of a lifetime-from ELVIS!!!

  • good stuff

  • In this clip he doesn't look as FAT as many would lead you to believe and TV cameras usually add a few lbs. He's definitely not 260 lbs. I know what 260 lbs looks like. As the camera moves out and away you see a side view of Elvis -- is he heavy? Yeah -- big. Like a guy who's over 6'. Is he Fat Albert? Jackie Gleason? No.

  • So sad to see Elvis 6 weeeks before he died. He was so obviously ill.....damn you Elvis! You were the King, you just had to say " I'll stop for a year and get a treatment!" and you would still be with us.....nobody would had the nerve to say no to you.....you were the BOSS

  • That's the man!! Never be another like E.

    Kenny Williams.

  • Damn I wanna be her :(

  • Shes like what the fuck! xD ah he's so sweet :3

  • great!! thanks for posting! the little girl is mesmorized..and elvis was so nice and humble...his mother would be proud

  • great!! thanks for posting! the little girl is mesmorized..and elvis was so nice and humble...his mother would be proud

  • The lady next to Mr. Presley is his girl friend a nurse lady. He was split from his wife. The tall chic is Ginger - Elvis girlfriend.

  • Such a shame.. :\

  • Elvis always was so gentle.

So sad to see him that ill :/

  • Elvis always found time to be true to his fans young and old . Not like some of the stars now days " RIP THE KING OF ROCK -AND-ROCK "

  • You can tell at this point in his life how sick and unhealthy Elvis was... RIP Elvis. Thank you for all the years you entertained us...

  • ep is bloated like a over inflated ballon..stay off the drugs kids..

  • at 0:47 elvis looks at the girl n said is she pretty

  • even then he shows his sweet spirit to the little girl

  • what a treat to see this, thoughtful of Elvis, as usual.

  • If there is anyone posting who has done more for ppl then let them say something and if not shutup cause you you are nothing like this man he is the best man you will find.

  • Love him... he always wanted to give. He tells his handlers , do we have something we can give to the little girl. ? Love you Elvis, Prais God, see you in Glory !

  • Very nice. I like how he wanted to give her something in return. Sweet.

  • He was a good man

  • The little girl is, Monique Brave of the Sioux Indian Tribe in Rapid City, Iowa. She presents him with a "Medallion of Life". She still lives in Iowa, is married and is a grandmother.

  • That child will never forget that moment for the rest of her life.

  • A tear for the king - elvis presley

  • the girl from 1:52-1:58, is this ginger alden?

  • @pantera9624

Yes I believe so going by info Ive seen.Sitting next to her and Mr Presley Snr I

always believed that to be Elvis's grandmother Minnie Mae

but I think it was actually Vernons wife. Thanks for watching

  • @pantera9624 It looks like Ginger Alden sitting down, yes.

  • @pantera9624 yes she is

  • He was obviously so sick.....this is hard to watch. RIP, Elvis!

  • elvis was a wild man--he makes everybody smile--thanks for posting mary L

  • What a sad video, having been an Elvis devotee since the 1950s seeing this once, fuelled by adrenelin entertainer now fueled by drugs breaks my heart, RIP ELVIS, you were a poor boy who just couldn't handle it.

  • great video

  • Shame he looks drunk,on drugs and bloated,so self destructive....I think he knows where he's going, such a shame he was such a kind gentle man ,generous to a fault love to have known him ,bless him

  • Poor soul..you can see he is not well....

  • My mother was a huge fan of Elvis, she still is. An amazing man and artist. I think he was a loving, kind and a sweet person. When he died, I was 7 years old and I found my mother crying at the kitchen table. His music and films will stay forever in our hearts.

  • I was almost 8 years old when Elvis died. I remember me and my family was watching tv, then a news bulletin come on and said Elvis just died. 1977. My sisters were crying and mother was too. I loved his music too.

  • It's no big deal to me if Elvis is fat (so am I) but he just doesn't look well here. I've got this footage on a bootleg DVD I bought several years ago...

  • @jdp201eliz - I remember it well. I was a month shy of 10 years old when he died. My mother was in the kitchen peeling potatoes, with a small radio on the window ledge. The radio station was playing all Elvis songs that particular day because they feared the worse. Then, the announcer came on and gave the sad news that Elvis had died. My mother, like millions and millions of other devoted fans around the world, cried like she had just lost her best friend. But Elvis will live forever!

  • Brave Elvs to accept ths award he never ever let any of hs fans down who loved everybody so much when tme was so scarce. Love Murel xxx

  • Incredible footage......Elvis only needed Help !.....

  • o kingk prin to telos

  • Elvis looks as if he's finished a concert. Is this a break or something or is this prior to the concert? He looks as if he needs a nap or some rest. Too bad he was so driven near the end. At this time, maybe his joy in life was on stage close to his fans and no where else.

  • @wtmsc diabetes finished him off, google it

  • @wtmsc that's true. after pircilla left him the only thing he had left was his music.

  • Elvis is the greatest recording artist of all time.

  • Here poor Elvis looks like a bad Elvis impersonator . Vernon Presley and the creepy Colonel Parker were so money hungry they contracted him to do this tour even though he should have been hospitalized for life threatening illnesses at this point. CBS crew were filming some shows for a later TV special and they were taking bets among themselves on whether he'd live another 6 months.

  • Just watched Lisa Marie on Oprah she said that his friends and family didn't tryto help him because Elvis wouldn't listen and he would disown anyone who tryed telling him what to do.

  • Great clip so sad how he looks so ill

  • he was only 42 here, and yet he looks bad. wish he lived longer.

    long live the KING

  • Heartbreaking to see him this way.

  • My poor little baby... How they couldn't have seen you were so ill. Bless U

  • Never saw this before. i don't mean disrespect bue Elvis looks and acts like he's having a stoke..

I do know this much the Man who owns the right to film is asking a 1/4 of millon for 4 hours of fim.

  • RESPECT for the great King of Rock'n'Roll

  • I'm not sure of the date; I remember my Mom / Dad going; then not long after they went to Elvis' concert; his death was across the news headlines.... the name monique brave sounds familiar....

  • omg! I'm sitting here crying because of the shape he's in. And they let it happen.

    BASTARDS!

  • okay okay.....ijust can say fuck the colonel tom parker .......

  • verry verry amazing sweet unblivable wow,,,,,,,,,real star -elvis

  • OMG SO CUTE! i wish i was that little girl

  • Is it any wonder he died? If it were a pure world he would have lived forever. Look at the awful collection of leeches and hangers-on around him. All of them are culpable in his death. He was so great beyond belief, yet he was surrounded by these bloodsuckers.

  • My goodness, I want to cry.

  • Elvis' heart was good but he is so loaded in this video.

  • Thats a great clip, tho awful to see elvis looking that way, looks like his father, stepmother and ginger alden at 1:55

Rest in peace elvis,we miss you.

  • He was always a gentleman, and personable with everyone he met.

  • That was nice of Elvis.....very Kind

  • nice footage. Elvis does look tired and unwell but comes across as a caring person

  • I'm a great Elvis fan, but he was high as hell here, not hard to see it

  • what a strength this man had...you can perceive he's making an extremely effort to be stand up, he should'a been in as hospital

  • Nice =)

  • Elvis looks incredibly sick here. Poor guy.

  • I'd love to be that little girl that he kissed. He still looked beautiful. He definatly deserved that award. He did so much for so many. Such an amazing man!

  • he was a wonderful generous caring human being who was used by all.....I feel so bad watching this video. In my humble opinion you can see the pain in his face.

  • HE ALMOST SUCKED HER HEAD IN WITH THAT KISS.

  • Comment removed

  • ..notice the Freemason handshake.

  • HE LOOKS LIKE RALPH KRAMDEN.

  • Sad he was so fat the last time of his life. But anyway its about the mental health more than a physcially here. It was a unstable mental health that caused a physically bad health.

  • He always did have a soft spot for kids!!!

  • More than any entertainer E understood and loved his fans, actually people in general Elvis loved people.

  • This is a TREASURE, Thank you Marylouise, Have never seen this before.

As always the Gentleman , this is so beautiful.

Always in my heart and forever holds the crown.

  • This is a TREASURE..thank you much Marylouise. I have never seen this before .

As always the Gentleman that he was.

Miss you Elvis ..forever in my heart.

  • And 2 months later He Really Died ?

  • Yes backstage..Rapid City June 21, 1977...

  • It's so sad seeing how bad he looks in this video. So sad he killed himself like this - He just didn't care about anything at the end.

  • @Provst3n I think you're right, he just didn't care anymore. Elvis was a humble person from the South who lived for ten lives, I guess all the adulation and success trapped him at the same time.

  • sad, really sad.

  • Joe Esposito @1:25

  • You can hear the audience getting restless....Elvis was frequently late getting on stage in his later appearances. But, this is a nice bit of film, the little Indian girl is probably in her 40`s now!!! Perhaps, same age as the King was here.

  • drunk and druged

  • WOW , I thought i have seen every Elvis film or clip untill i saw this one , this is GREAT !

  • I have never seen this before, it was lovely. We all know what a kind, gentle, humble, polite, religious generous person Elvis was, it is so sad to see him this way, I have NEVER heard anyone who knew him say anything other than what a perfect gentleman he was. RIP ELVIS.

  • Never saw this incredible footage before.

    From June, 1977?

  • thanks for your comment!:)

Yes I believe it was June 21 1977 he played in Rapid City

    mary

  • oh my!..people just enjoy my vid for what it is.Stop the hating on each other..Its been on y/t here for almost 4 years they are looking for any excuse to take it off believe me..just sayin..have a good day :) marylouise

  • @marylouise2 I for one think this is a great video. It shows his tender loving side. I especially love the moment with the little Indian girl. That was very special. Thanks again. And ignore those hateful others out there. There ignorance is blessed.

  • Just shows you how much of a genuine & down-to-earth person he really was offstage and out of the spotlight.

    True Legend!

  • The Presley Estate, according to what I've read, has no intentions of ever releasing ''Elvis In Concert'' on dvd. Apparently, they want to preserve and market Elvis' image only from '56-'73. Even though these 2 shows were obviously not his best, I'd still love to see them released professionally. I have both the Omaha and Rapid City shows, but the sound and picture quality is not that great.

  • xox*Happy Birthday Elvis*xox

  • Happy 75th birthday King!

  • That was a nice little film.

  • it doesn't take rocket science to see just in this video how worn out and high elvis is in this video he can barley speak.hell or high water pist or not he would have gotten off the pills took time off got his body and energy back in rehab or whatever WOULD work and got back to the healthy elvis.his father could have had legal rights to do that but sounds to me he was to busy worry about the gravy train being his life was in danger he could have gotten power of attorney to admit him.

  • note to self ....dont accept a medallion of life from souix nation,i guess it didnt work

  • Not funny or cute! It was a nice gesture on their part & Elvis appreciated it. Everyone here is so critical. What does it matter what he weighed or wore? He was a phenomonal singer and entertainer who gave the world much pleasure and he was also a fine humanitarian. His charities are still taken care of today by his daughter and his estate. Does anything else really matter? I think his health & early death were awful & sad, but I apppreciate the music and contributions he left behind!!

  • charity is a tool for the super rich to not pay their fair share of taxes, when u make so much money that u cant possibly spend it u must give it away or the gov will take it,lets not pretend that people give away money because they want to,as far as elvis weight i dont really care i liked the guy and his image, its just another story of hollywood success gone south, just another notch in the devils belt.they will all meet there demise when u sin too much and take drugs and alcahol

  • he gave to charities bc he grew up in poverty and he loved giving. he always paid his taxes. he had no issue with taxes. this is so wrong about Elvis. When he died, he only had a million dollars bc he had given away most of his money.

  • he looked so bad here like he was out of it the whole thing was so sad

  • is it me or does elvis head look bigger as he got older

  • jsimone1320 Elvis was being given cortisone treatments which cause swelling of the abdomen and face which might have made his head look larger too, but Elvis had a large head to begin with like every.major star..For some reason almost every successful entertainer, actor, and even newscasters have big heads. I think they photograph better.

  • Elvis never got a big head bc of his fame.

  • lucky little girl , She was kissed by Elvis.

  • Aww! That little girl looked so nervous.

  • More rare & Unseen Elvis Pix ?

    RareElvisPresley Com

  • If Elvis walked down the street a complete unknown, no-one would think that´s a fat guy. He´s big but not fat. The problem is we all compare him to earlier photos and clips. That is unfair for anyone

  • The only TRUE friend , in my opinion of Elvis was Joe Esposito. All the rest were waiting for their paycheck. That ruined him in the end. Great footage and I hope more "rare" footage pops up in the future. He was the king of music! RIP Elivs

  • i also think charlie hodge was loyal to him aswell

  • Right. Charlie loved and cared for him the most. You can see this on stage - he never took his eyes off him.

  • Fascinating footage. And to think he was dead before the end of the year. I think he was taken with the little Native American girl because she reminded him of his own daughter, Lisa Marie. Like most sentimental people, I'm sure he had a soft part in his heart for kids. And I agree with other posters here that even though he's obviously put on some weight here, he's far from obese. Overall, he doesn't look well, though. If only the poor chap would have taken better care of himself. Sigh...

  • did you know that after his upcomign tour, he was planning on going to hawaii with larry geller and he was going to get clean? stop all the drugs everything. he wanted to be a better dad to lisa marie

  • There is a color-version of this.

  • He was drugged out obviously but his true kind spirit shines through

  • I like the part where he kisses the child - that wouldn't stand in today's bullshit society

  • Fat? I don't know bout all that. It's obvious he had put on weight from his former slender energetic self, but that's not fat.

  • @Unbreakable1978 I just read Dr Nick's book, his doctor, Elvis was toxic from all the coritsone shots he was taking for back, neck, and asthma, that caused the bloat, also the paralysed colon he had caused the bloat, Elvis was not fat, look at the rest of him, his legs, arms, etc, all the bloat was mistaken for fat, Elvis had so many ailments and the side effects fo the drugs he took for the aliments caused this, haters never are able to reason with the facts, most never read or can't.

  • I'm not an Elvis hater. I'm a cuasual fan and I some of his music.

  • @Unbreakable

Don't lie - you are a diehard MJ fan that likes to make disparaging remarks about Elvis. We've had this a million times. Just leave this thread and concentrate on MJ.

  • And I dont do so until your Elvis fans make the same type of remarks about MJ.

  • Leave this thread, you are nothing but an imposter. Just stay with MJ and be happy. Nobody minds that you are a fan of MJ. But stop making disparaging remarks on Elvis Presley and his achievements. The way you behave is a disgrace for MJ to say the least.

  • Comment removed

  • And dont play the righteous woman here when you used to be all on the Elvis vs MJ vids didssing MJ. Can we say HYPORCRITE?

  • Elvisfreak people want to always make it out to seem as if he was gorssly overweight and he wasnt.

  • @Unbreakable1978 if they only knew he had a very bad colon problem and the steroids and very slow moving digestive track caused the bloat in the middle of his stomach, it had nothing to do with fat, he had a paralyzed colon, but of course its always easier to be cruel and heartless instead of speaking before you know what your talking about like they do.

  • I think people attributed to the fact that he looked like a mere shell of his former, slender energetic self...but let's not forget he was middle aged by this point...not the young man who did Hound Dog, and years of performing had taken a toll on him. Its easy to sit on the sidelines and judge people like Elvis and Jackson, but no one knows how stressful this level of fame really is but those who live it

  • Unbreakable, just crawl back under MJs pants and leave Elvis related threads. You are such a bore!

  • As I said, Make me trick!

  • Where exactly does ir say a person can't be a fan of both Patricia. And I dont know who appointed you Youtube moderator.

  • "Creepy fat Elvis" Come on he isn't that bad. I reckon at nearly six foot tall he's about 16 stone here. Not the lean mean rocker of old I grant you but I'm sure he'd have gotten it together again if he'd have lived. Look for videos and photos of him six months earlier for example. He looked great. Give him a break!

  • Elvis was a class act. I heard stories of when Elvis just rode through our town on a train in 1956 and the crowd was too overwhelming just to see a train he was thought to be on.

There will never be another one like Elvis. No One has even came close in all the years since. Sold enough records to stretch from Memphis to the Moon four times. That is a FACT!! Look it up.

ELVIS....Entertainer of the Century and a lifetime.

  • Elvis so sweet, so polite!

  • i've never knew why he wore white when he was overweight. he should have worn black. he would have looked less fat.. but i love u Elvis it doesn't matter

  • he wore this suit bc it was the only one that still fit and he didnt allow anyone to measure him bc he hated his weight.

  • Thanks so much for posting this beautiful clip of Elvis at his best...kind,patient,caring & generous!! Yes he is obviously showing the physical effects of his personal struggles, but in this day & age only an uninformed, small minded person would continue to make unkind remarks about him.

He was then and will always remain a great humanbeing.

  • Wow, he was really drugged up here. What a mess. So sad. I had tickets to see him perform in Portland Maine . He died one day before the concert.

  • do you still have the tickets? not that i want them.

  • Yes. I have the tickets

  • Yes there are....Little children love Elvis now its amazing....

  • why do you say hes creepy?

  • I bet you are an ugly fat piece of shit and have no mates or eles you are i jail wating the death sentence for being evil to the core or maybe even both.. scumbag....

  • He was there for his fans until the end, he was one of a kind, what a great man:)

I will love you forever Elvis:)

  • its the first time i've this and this is one of the reason i am a big fan of him, there will never some1 like him again

  • cool.never saw this.thanx

  • always so sweet to his fans... too bad more celbs are not as sweet & giving of themselves as Elvis.

  • He was very concerned about getting that little girl a scarf. Always a giver. I think if he had more time he would spend more time with those girls.

  • He sure does and the Vernon Presley one and the Ginger Alden and the Joe Espisito as well!

  • elvis loves his fans so much. and there will always be a new generation of elvis fans. im sure of that!

  • this man was great look at how starstruck both the people were they could barely talk :]

  • This is awesome!!! THankyou so much!!!!!

  • Thank you very much for sharing this video! Its Sad!!!

    Jim

  • Thanks Jim :)..yes very sad but a very sweet moment in time too (I feel)

  • Hey was James Brown and Elvis Friends do any of you Elvis fans know. BACK in 1976 He was to appear on James brown TV Show Future Shock.

  • Yes the oneandthree, Elvis and James Brown were friends, James Brown said he was like a brother.

  • Yeah Elvis was living for Parker's gambling debts among other things. He was a decent soul and people did love him, too bad he took the road he did. Maybe as his spirit left and it spiralled uncontrollably to the abyss, one of his old friends already in heaven saved him and brought him back. Back to the light, and he and Buddy are hanging out in happiness.

  • It is very difficult to perform thousands times in a year...if i would be constantly under pressure i would take some drugs too...because it is impossible to keep such press...i understand Elvis Presley..

  • DAMIT! If I could be that time on that same backstage I would talk some sense to Elvis about how important person he are and to stop drugs and take some vecation...He had money to stop conserts for a while. He was too young...

  • At this time is his life nothing could be done There was no Betty Ford Clinics and the Drs. he had gave him all the drugs he wanted .Tom Parker was to blame he exploited Elvis to the max..you do realize Elvis only had 1 million dollars when he died the rest went to Parker for gambling debts. that s why Elvis worked in Vegas for such small pay

  • I hate seein elvis like this, it actually looks like he's a character in a movie who's put on a fat suit, i hate how the latter part of his life became sad, he was such a great man

  • ...................
