  • This was horrible...

  • I thought that was really good.

  • This is awesome! By the way everyone...I sold 295 my first year and made $120K....oh and yes people will give you time, if you know how to get it. -Isaiah

  • No wonder American Alarm is no longer around.

  • there were no people before or info left.

  • No wonder American alarm customers are the easiest to switchover

  • wow that was horrendous

  • Wow this alarm asshole didn't say the neighbors kids got raped so we're in the neighborhood... Wow that's a first, shady bastards!

  • The tell them what your doing. (paying for a couple homes to have the new police fire medical system). And WHY you are doing it (helps us generate more business, word of mouth advertising etc). Then repeat the WHAT and WHY 4 or 5 times till they get it. If they don't understand why you'd pay for it, then you can't go on. Once it makes sense to them I just say "it only takes a minute for me to walk you thru it, where would you like me to sit?" I always go to the table and finish up.

  • Just get to the point. "hey, sorry to bug you, don't worry I'LL BE REAL QUICk"

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!

  • this is a discrace to monitronics smh

  • Wow that was the worst pitch Ive heard. Way to much fluff and hundreds of stupid questions nobody is going to answer with a dude that knocked on their door. People dont want to sit and bs with a stranger forever about the weather and stuff. Get to the point! Painfully bad. I sold 313 this last summer and this is the opposite of what i did.

  • @burnyike1 I have a question for you since I will be joing a summer sales team with vivint. If you didn't use an aproach similar to this one, then what did you say at the doors? I'm looking for help because I don't want to use trickory or high pressure sales tactics, like the othe reps do. I'm an honest person and have to be able to look myself in the mirror every day with pride and dignity.

  • The number one rule for door to door when it comes to approach. Keep It Simple Stupid. Get to the point. Also, more confidence, the door is your office. You have to keep the conversation in your control.

  • this fucking guy sucks donkey balls !!!!!! American alarm you give the door to door people a bad rap with this sorry ass pitch ! the reps that i trained for 1 day can do better than that shit !!! you should feel really stupid having this crap posted online !!! waste of fucking time !!!! isaiah micheal perez you suck !!!

  • First of all,no one is going to pay attention to that stupid sign. Also, you are really not getting anything for free when you add in the installation cost not to mention the monthly service. They make the training look very easy, but in the real world it's nothing like that. In most cases, you'll have to know on hundreds of doors before you even have any contact with an actual resident. I know, because I went out with American Alarm one day last year...Worst experience I've even had.

  • First, I have an alarm (Monitronics) and personally think home security systems are a must in today's world but this sales pitch is going on too long. Why don't you just to the chase? Product and price. After 2 minutes, I was ready to shut the video off. I'm not into sales, just an average person. Simply introduce yourself, hand us a easy to read brochure that we could look over with our spouses latter and we will call you if interested. That's the no preasure salesperson I'm going to buy from.

  • tgshaffer, how many did you do last year? you definetly think highly of yourself. Revaluate your last summer, and then factor in your pride.

  • you cant ask 10 million questions, no customer will give a stranger that much time. I do this for a living but I cut to the chase in 15 seconds. If not you get a door in your face. Yes its commission, but if you work smart (NO IN GROUPS) and work alone, and cherry pick your demographics (dont go to every freakin door) you will do better. I made $102K in 2009.

  • This is the worst job you can ever have. First of all, it's commission only and you have to go door to door in groups in selected neighborhoods from about 1pm to 9pm. The one and only time I went out, 90% of the people were not home and the other 10% didn't bite. I quit after the first day.

  • yeah doing it that way you will starve to death....thats not how you do it in the alarm business. ANyone who does it that way will do what you did. Quit.

  • Kenny Kennerson...LOL....
